Bubble Boy

Chapter 75: Blood and Thunder

Exterior – Central City – Crater

The ground beneath them cracked and trembled as Eden and Bubble Boy landed with a thunderous crash. The impact sent a shockwave through the desolate crater, debris flying in all directions. The duo stood in stunned silence for a moment, their eyes locked on the lifeless body of Mr. Mars, sprawled out before them, crushed at Dravus's feet.

Blood stained the earth, and the remnants of Mars's form were scattered in a grotesque display of destruction. His once-proud, alien figure, now broken and lifeless, sent a wave of disbelief and grief washing over the two.

Eden's heart pounded in his chest as he stared at his fallen comrade. His breath hitched in his throat, and for a moment, time seemed to slow, the weight of the loss too much to bear. But then, like a spark igniting a powder keg, the reality of the situation settled in. Dravus, that monster, had done this.

His hand clenched into a fist, bloodlust surging through his veins.

Bubble Boy stood frozen for a moment, looking at Mars's body in disbelief. But then his and Eden eyes flicked to the horizon, and their gaze shifted to the broken forms of Garden Girl and Gladiator lying on the ground behind them. Both were bloodied and barely conscious, their bodies battered from the brutal fight they had just endured.

Their heart sank in sync. No more time to mourn.

Eden stepped forward, his body radiating with red bubbles, while Bubble Boy's hands crackled with the power of his blue bubbles. Both heroes had no words, only actions.

"We end this now," Eden growled, his voice filled with fury.

"You won't get away with this, Dravus!" Bubble Boy yelled, his voice raw and full of emotion.

Dravus, hovering above them, turned his cold, calculating eyes toward the duo. His lips twisted into a smirk as he took in their approach, the air around him thick with menace.

"Ah, the sons of Starman," Dravus purred, his tone dripping with malice. "You think you can stop me? You are nothing but children playing at being heroes."

Eden's eyes flared with power, a storm building around him. "You will pay for what you've done."

With a thunderous roar, he charged. At the same moment, Bubble Boy hurled a barrage of bubbles, each one laced with destructive force, straight at Dravus. The bubbles detonated upon contact, but Dravus merely floated above them, unfazed.

Without warning, Dravus eyes glowed blood red, unleashing a blast of heat vision that struck Eden dead in his chest. The sheer force sent Eden tumbling backward, skidding across the cracked ground.

"Is that all you've got?" Dravus taunted, his eyes narrowing with cold amusement.

Bubble Boy, undeterred by Eden's fall, shot a massive bubble cannon at Dravus, the sheer size of the bubble encasing him in an attempt to trap him. But Dravus effortlessly broke free, his multiversal strength rendering the bubble no more than a temporary inconvenience.

"You're both just as weak as your father," Dravus sneered, his hands crackling with energy that mirrored Starman's own.

@BubbleBoyBeliever77: "I can't believe how much power he has! Bubble Boy and Eden are so outmatched!"

@GalaxyVision_News: "The battle rages on in Central City. It seems like even the strongest heroes in the world are no match for Dravus's might."

The battle became a whirlwind of energy and raw power. Eden, his body crackling with energy, tried to land blows, but Dravus blocked each strike with ease. Each punch Eden threw was met with a crushing counter, his strength seeming like nothing compared to the dark power of Dravus. Bubble Boy launched wave after wave of bubbles, but they were nothing more than fleeting distractions.

Despite their combined strength, the duo was locked in a stalemate. Eden and Bubble Boy's attacks were relentless, but Dravus's power seemed to have no end. He absorbed every attack, and with each moment, his energy only grew.

But as the battle raged on, something shifted in Eden. His powers surged again, the darkness within him flaring up as his emotions boiled over. "I won't let you destroy everything," he roared, his voice filled with fury. The storm around him intensified, red bubbles crackling from the very air. Eden unleashed his final attack, a torrent of red bubbles filled with energy that tore through the air with an otherworldly force.

For a moment, it seemed like it might land. Dravus faltered, surprised by the intensity of the blast. But with a snarl, Dravus raised his hand, deflecting the energy with a wave of his palm.

The ground shook. The skies above them seemed to crackle and burn.

"You never stood a chance," Dravus said, his voice cold and final. His eyes burned with red light as he prepared to finish the fight.

But Eden and Bubble Boy were not finished. Even in the face of such overwhelming power, they pushed forward. There was one thing they had that Dravus didn't, a bond stronger than anything.

"You're wrong," Bubble Boy said, his voice steady despite the chaos. "We're not done yet."

The two of them, battered and bloodied, prepared to face their worst enemy yet. For Mars. For the Legion. For everyone they loved.

Exterior – Central City – Crater

The storm above raged on, mirroring the chaos below. Blood smeared the shattered earth as Eden and Bubble Boy fought with every ounce of strength they had. But it wasn't enough.

Dravus moved like a god of death.

He caught Eden's next punch mid-air and twisted his arm with a sickening snap that echoed across the crater. Eden screamed in agony, falling to his knees, clutching his broken limb. Dravus didn't stop. His boot came crashing down on Eden's chest, sending him skidding like a ragdoll across the battlefield.

Bubble Boy let out a cry of desperation and launched forward, encasing himself in a sphere of solidified bubbles, crashing into Dravus like a cannonball. It didn't even make him flinch. Dravus raised a hand and with a flick of his fingers, shattered the bubble like glass, sending shards of energy in all directions.

Troy hit the ground, coughing blood. His vision blurred.

"Get up," he muttered to himself. "I have to get up…"

But his body refused. Bones fractured, ribs cracked, his arms trembling with exhaustion. He turned his head and saw Eden, motionless, blood pouring from a gash above his eye.

And then came the pain.

Dravus grabbed Troy by the throat, lifting him like a rag doll. His other hand seized Eden, who tried to punch weakly before being restrained by a crushing grip. Both heroes hung in the air, helpless. Blood dripped from their bodies. They had nothing left to give.

INT. WHITE HOUSE – OVAL OFFICE – NIGHT

The President stood, pale and breathless, staring at the massive screen.

"Michael," she said, voice trembling. "Are you sure Starman can stop this monster?"

Michael, suited in black, arms folded behind his back, didn't turn. His jaw was set like stone.

"...That's what we trained him for," he said quietly.

EXT. CENTRAL CITY – CRATER

Lightning crashed in the sky as the wind howled. And then, it shifted.

The clouds split.

A golden blur ripped through the heavens like a comet falling from the stars. The air cracked, the atmosphere shuddered...

STARMAN ARRIVED.

He hovered above the crater, cape flowing, face calm and unreadable. His gold suit glowed with energy. But his eyes… they locked onto one thing:

Dravus.

Holding his sons in each hand, unconscious and bloodied. Their limp bodies hung like offerings.

Dravus turned, almost pleased.

"Well, well," he sneered. "Finally, the Prince arrives. Took you long enough, Starman."

Starman said nothing. His eyes slowly glowed crimson, a low hum building in the air. His face bore no anger, no fear, just cold calculation.

"You've crossed a line, Dravus."

Dravus grinned, dropping Eden and Bubble Boy like discarded toys. They fell hard and unconscious.

"I am the line," he said.

The crater went silent.

And the real battle was about to begin.
