Broken Demonic System

Kenshin crossed over the iron bar and held it tightly, as he stood there and thought about it again. Is killing himself the answer? He had lost everything, there was nothing to live for. When the conclusion, he decided to let go of the iron bar.

"Wait!" a feminine voice yelled.

Kenshin recognized the voice, he slowly turned around and saw that it was Usagi.

"I can't let you end your life, not like this" Usagi shouted.

Kenshin looked at the young nurse, who was trying to save him.

"I know you are just doing your job," a nurse saves lives. Isn't that it?"

"No! I guess you can say that's part of it," Usagi blushed. "But it's something more"

More!?

"What do you mean?" Kenshin asked.

"I...I really like you!" Usagi yelled, her face was red. "I really liked you since the first time I saw you! I want to be your girlfriend if you don't mind."

"We just met today, what do you know about me?" Kenshin said.

"If you stay alive, we can know each other more" Usagi walked slowly to him. "We can take a walk in the park or go to the movies or anything you want"

"I want my sister. Without her I'm nothing, I'm just a lonely soul"

"Your sister can still wake up, killing yourself won't make it happen now"

"But it will end the pain"

Suddenly, another nurse burst through the door. She was panting like she just ran up the stairs all the way to the roof. Or did she just run up the stairs to the roof? After taking two minutes to catch her breath, she finally said something.

"Mr. Akatsuki, your... your sister just woke up"

"Really?"

Kenshin was so happy, he was about to jump the iron bar back to the nurse, back to Usagi who had delayed him, if not, he would have died for nothing. But his hand slipped.

"Huh?"

Kenshin's heart skipped a beat, or maybe two, when he noticed he was falling off the building.

"I'm falling?" Kenshin thought. "I'm really falling to my death"

Kenshin was now scared. He looked up and saw Usagi on the roof, tears filled her eyes as she screamed for help. Help from who exactly?. Maybe when he dies and meets God, He might understand if he explains to Him that he died by mistake and he needs another chance, even if it was to see his sister for the last time.

"I don't want to die, I don't want to die anymore. Please. I want to see my sister, I want to ask Usagi what she meant by she likes me, I want to see my sister in her school uniform again. So why?"

...

"Did you see the lady that got hospitalized yesterday?" A nurse that was behind the counter said. "I heard she's in a really bad condition"

"Well, I do hope she gets better" Usagi replied. "Oh!, That reminds me,Miku. I saw a girl in room 208, looks like she's been here for a while. What's her story?"

"Hmm" Miku frowned and leaned her head a little bit to the left. "We don't really know"

"What?"

"The doctor said he couldn't find anything wrong with her"

"Does she have any family members, like do they visit?"

"That's not really our problem," Miku said, Usagi gave her a sad look. 'But she does have an overprotective brother who visits almost every day, apart from him I don't think there's any other family members.'

"It must have been pretty hard on him"

"He's so dreamy, but with his sister's condition, I don't think he'll ever pay any attention to me" Miku fell face down on the counter. "This is so unfair!"

"Come on, we have better things to worry about than some guy" Usagi stressed the last part.

"Speaking of which, I'm supposed to check on a patient and report to the doctor" Miku raised her head in realization. "Oh no, he's going to be so mad"

"Better get going then" Usagi laughed as she watched Miku run out quickly.

"I'm here to see my sister," a voice said. Usagi turned to answer the person, and as she laid her eyes on him, she immediately fell in love.

He's so hot! Who said there's no such thing as love at first sight? His white hair looks so soft and silky, his eyes were bright red and although his body was slim, he was a little bit muscular. He was about 5'8" tall, he was perfect.

"Umm?, Hello?" He called out, bringing Usagi back to reality.

"Ohh, right. Yeah" The lady blushed. "What's the name of the patient?"

"Where is the nurse that used to be here?" He asked.

He is really starting a conversation with her.

"Ohh, you mean Samantha?" Usagi said. "She got posted to another hospital, so I'll be replacing her"

"You work here!. But you look like you're about my age." He expressed his surprise. "That by the way, my sister's name is Yuri Akatsuki"

"Okay" Usagi replied. She typed on the computer in front of her for a while before informing him. "Room 208"

"Thank you" He was about to leave.

Maybe it was a good chance for her to finally get a boyfriend, she had never been in a relationship and here mother had been bugging her. She quickly tore a piece of paper and wrote her number on it.

"Umm, excuse me, sir" He stopped on his tracks. "Take this"

Usagi offered him the paper. He reluctantly took it from her.

"What is this for?"

"You can call me later. Maybe we can hang out or something" she replied shyly.

"Yeah, maybe we can ummm..." Kenshin looked at the card. "Usagi, by the way, I'm Kenshin. I'm sorry for not introducing myself"

"No, it's not a problem," Usagi waved her arms signifying no. "Thank you for your time"

She bowed her head, Kenshin just nodded before walking away.

He just accepted, well she wouldn't say accepted but it was a bold move. She just hoped he wouldn't reject her because she was older. Anyways, maybe she should follow him to see his sister that he was talking about.

Just at that moment, Miku came to Usagi.

"Usagi, you won't believe-"

"Please cover for me at the counter, thanks!" Usagi gave Miku a handshake and ran after Kenshin.
