Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO

Chapter 748: Nothing will change the fate.

Late at night —

Dafydd was losing his cool. It's been a while since he came to know that his son has been taken away. But until now, he could trace him.

A knock at the door made him turn, and the moment he saw his man stepping inside, he asked, desperation clear in his tone, "Did you find him?"

The man shook his head. "Sir, we tried looking everywhere. But we couldn't find any trace of Young Master. It seems like he is nowhere in New York."

"What do you mean by that?" Dafydd frowned. "If not in New York, where can those people take him? And who the hell were those people?"

The man looked equally confused. "We don't know, sir. We even tried looking into them, but we couldn't identify at all, as though they didn't belong on the face of this Earth."

Dafydd frowned. He couldn't understand what was happening. Who could take his son like that? Never in the years had anyone tried to lay a hand on them. They were Winslow, and aiming at a Winslow —everyone knew the price.

No one would dare.

Then why was Bryn still taken away? Who would dare?

And what could be their reason behind?

The more he thought, the more he couldn't understand.

Pacing back and forth in the room, he couldn't help but think. After a while, he suddenly stopped in his steps and turned to look at his man. His brows drew together, his concern not even once easing.

"Do one thing," he began while looking at his man, "Go and find what Bryn was up to these days. Did he offend anyone in particular?"

There wasn't anyone they couldn't dare to offend, but still, just to understand what was happening, Dafydd asked his man to find out.

If Bryn has truly offended someone he shouldn't, then he will have to find a way to get him out of that.

"Now, don't just stand here," He snapped at the man when he didn't see him moving. "Go and find out what I asked for."

The man quickly nodded and then left the room at once.

Meanwhile, Dafydd took a seat on the sofa nearby. He couldn't take it anymore. Every passing moment was just making him lose his patience.

Bryn was his love child with the woman he held precious. He couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to him. The anxiousness clawed at his chest, making it hard for him to breathe.

He tapped on the table in an attempt to call someone, but when no one came, he tapped harder.

Hearing the desperate call, a staff member entered and asked with full concern. "Sir, do you need anything?"

"B-Bring me … bring me my medicines, now!"

The staff was slightly taken aback. But he soon reacted. Nodding, he at once ran out and brought him the medicines.

Once Dafydd was better, he suggested, "Sir, your driver is outside. Should I call him for you? He can take you back."

"There is no need," Dafydd dismissed him. "I am better now. You can leave."

The staff glanced at him worriedly. But he didn't say much to him. Giving a polite bow, he left.

Dafydd waited there for a long time. After every ten minutes, he would check the time on his watch and then turn to look at the door. But no matter how many times he turned, even after hours of waiting, no one returned to give him the information he needed.

Just when he was about to lose his patience, he finally heard the door of the room being pushed open. He turned to look and finally saw his man return.

Without waiting for another second, he asked, "Did you find out anything?"

The man stared at him with clear hesitation in his eyes.

Dafydd frowned when he saw that. Almost losing his calm, he asked, "Tell me what you found out. Don't just stand there and give me that look. I am waiting to hear information about my son."

"Sir …" The man's expression became still as he began, "We just found out that day before yesterday, young master hired some people."

Dafydd didn't understand. His frown grew deeper as he repeated the words to ask, "He hired someone? Who did he hire?"

"A local gang in Cralens," the man answered. "He reached out specifically with a job."

Dafydd's heart lurched the moment he heard the word 'Cralens'. But holding his calm, he tried his best. "Keep saying."

"We found that overnight, the whole gang was wiped away. Not even a single one had remained."

Dafydd didn't need to ask to know what happened to the gang —not only because he didn't care, but because he knew it already.

"What job did he ask them to complete?" Dafydd asked, bracing himself. Internally, he was just wishing that Bryn hadn't done something that he should have tried. Because if he did, even he wouldn't know how to save him.

The man paused for a second before finally saying, "Young Master Bryn has reached them out to stage an accident."

Dafydd's fingers clenched. His heart dropped. Now, he didn't need to ask to know who was behind Bryn's disappearance. He knew it already.

Still, he asked, "Did he succeed?"

The man shook his head. "No, sir. The attempt failed, and before they could try another, the entire clan was wiped away."

Dafydd closed his eyes. Taking in a deep breath, he tried to calm himself down before he asked, "Go, and arrange me a flight to Cralens."

"Cralens?" The man didn't understand. "Young master Bryn —"

"He is in Cralens. We need to go and find him before it's too late," he said and the man quickly nodded before retreating to make arrangement.

However, Dafydd didn't know it was already too late. No matter how early he reaches Cralens now, nothing will change the fate that Aiden had decided for Bryn.

"Bryn, hold for a little longer," Dafydd spoke with a subtle sigh in his breath. "Dad will be there for you soon."
