Chapter 300 - I'm here to kill you
Bahamut sat on his throne, waiting for Zion to arrive. He knew that he would come eventually, no matter how long it took.
He didn't care to watch the middle world get decimated by the angels. He didn't care to look at the upper world and its messed up state. He didn't care to taunt the twin goddesses he captured to pass the time.
Why? Because he wanted Zion. He wanted to see the bastard's face as he crushed his skull. He wanted to brutally beat the boy until he begged for mercy. He wanted to show Luminera and Erebosa that their champion, the person they put all their faith in, failed.
Then, after he kills Zion, he would kill Luminera and Erebosa, claiming the world as his own.
Then, out of nowhere, an angel appeared in his throne room. Normally, they wouldn't be allowed in the heavenly realm, but Bahamut needed someone to keep him up to date with the things that were going around in the middle world, so he gave this one angel permission.
"S-Sir! I have important news to share!" He said in a panicked voice
"Speak."
"I-It's Zion, sir. He's killed all the angels in the middle world!"
Bahamut rolled his eyes. "And? Do you expect me to cry or something?"
"B-But sir, he just liberated the middle world. People are coming back and are already rebuilding their realm."
"And where is Zion? Is he still in the middle world?"
"I-I don't know. The last time we saw him, he was-" The angel's head rolled off his shoulders, falling to the ground as it continued to roll until it hit Bahamut's throne.
Once the body fell, Zion was seen walking inside the throne room, his expression cold and his eyes serious.
"Finally! I've been waiting for you for some time now." Bahamut stood up, stretching his limbs.
"Come, I have something to show you. I'm sure you're interested in the fate of your little goddessES!"
Bahamut blocked Zion's sudden strike, caught off guard by the rash attack. He hadn't expected him to act so impulsively. Everything had been planned perfectly. But Zion was going off script.
"What are you doing?"
"Did you kill them?" Zion asked.
Bahamut smirked. "Why don't you come and find out?"
"So you didn't."
"What?" But before he could process it, Zion launched another assault, multiple godly arc-beam slashes tearing through the air, forcing Bahamut to block.
"Did you even think twice before attacking me? I have your goddesses in my possession!"
"I don't even think once, you stupid bitch!" Zion vanished from his spot and reappeared behind Bahamut. The dragon god couldn't react in time. Zion's blow smashed into his back, slamming him through a wall that crumbled on impact.
"You filthy mortal!" Bahamut roared.
He chuckled. "There it is." Zion zigzagged through the air, throwing Bahamut off balance. He kneed him in the back, teleported in front for a punch to the face, then teleported behind again. A touch to Bahamut's back triggered a massive explosion, blasting the dragon god away.
"Huff… haah… You bastard. What did you do to yourself? How are you that strong?" Bahamut growled. He was a god—the god. Strongest of them all. He had even absorbed the power of his siblings. Yet here he was, being pushed back by Zion… a mere demigod. Although Bahamut wasn't using his full power, he still never expected Zion to push him this much.
"You want some monologue about how I met Gaia, she fixed my body, and now I'm a real god?"
"You… You met Gaia?!"
"Oops. Guess I spilled the beans." Zion swung his arm, sending a slicing shockwave that tore the ground apart as it flew toward Bahamut.
"As if!" Bahamut launched into the sky, only to suddenly freeze midair. Zion had him locked in place with his Aura-Force.
"Where are you going?" Zion smirked, yanked him back down, and slammed him into the ground. A hard kick to the face followed, then a fiery orb that exploded directly into Bahamut's face.
As Bahamut tumbled across the shattered earth, Zion dashed forward to keep up the pressure until a glowing magic circle lit up under his foot. Dozens more appeared all around him.
"Hahaha! You fell into my trap! Now die!" Bahamut clapped his hands together, detonating the trap spells.
The explosion rocked his entire Heavenly Realm. Surely, Zion had been destroyed.
"I didn't fall into anything." Zion's hand clamped around Bahamut's throat, lifting him effortlessly into the air. "I entered."
Forming a blade from his fingers, he stabbed it straight into Bahamut's gut. The blade flared with pure divine energy, and in the next instant, Zion fired, blasting the god straight out of the castle.
Sensing where Luminera and Erebosa were, Zion tried teleporting to their location, but he wasn't able to.
"Guess I gotta take the long way." He stomped on the ground, completely shattering it, and fell into the lower levels of Bahamut's castle. He continued this until he reached the dungeon where the goddesses were kept.
"Zion? Is that you?" Luminera asked, opening her weak eyes.
"You couldn't have waited for me?"
"If you were in my position, would you have waited?"
He chucked. "Nah."
"Exactly."
"With a wave of his hand, Zion not only healed the three of them, but took them out of their shackles.
"Woah, since when did you get that powerful?" Luminera asked, rubbing her wrists.
"I met Gaia."
She paused, hearing a name she hadn't heard in millions of years.
"You met Mom?"
"She's your mom? How does that work?"
"Of course, she's my mom. She created the world, me, and my sister!"
"Nngh, who met who?" Erebosa asked, slowly waking up.
"Zion met mother!"
"What? Gaia? Holy shit!" Erebosa looked Zion up and down. "I guess that answers the reason why you're not dying anymore."
"Zion!" Tessa pounced on Zion, shedding tears for him as she embraced her creator.
"Hey, I missed you. Not hearing you in my head really throws me off. Aryah isn't as fun as you."
'Hey!'
"Haha, I'm kidding."
"ZION ZAGAN YOU FUCKER!!" Bahamut's voice boomed, causing the castle to start crumbling.
"You three, get out of here. I'll handle this."
"No! We're fighting with you!"
"Yeah! We wont-"
Zion forcefully sent them back to the middle world, then flew up to meet Bahamut.
"I acknowledge your strength, so I'll fight you with my full power!"
"Whatever. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm here to kill you, and I wont leave until I do."
