Blade of the Goddess

Chapter 287 - You're a God...In 200 years that is

"Oh, hello, Willow. It's always a pleasure to meet you, but could you be quick? I have some important things to do outside." Zion asked.

"Because you completed my tasks, I'll fulfill my end of our deal and allow you the ability to harness my nexus energy."

'Okay, just ignore me, that's fine.'

"Great! Do I have to just absorb it like normal mana or divine energy? Oh, please don't tell me you're going to beat my ass as well?! I swear if that's the case, I'm going to be so fuccking mad!"

"Don't stress, you're already absorbing it." She smiled

"I am? I don't feel any different, though." He admitted

"That's because you're not here physically, only mentally. Your body in the outside world is currently absorbing my energy."

"Oh, that's convenient. Now I don't have to go through the hardships of doing it myself. I'll be ready to face the gods once I'm done here." He smirked

"Actually, no, you wont."

"Huh? Explain."

"Your body is currently experiencing a lot of pain. And by a lot, I mean a lot. You're here because if you were still in your body, you would probably die. Even your woman friend is trying her best to ease your pain and is wondering why she cant hear your thoughts anymore."

"What?! Take me back! Or at least tell her I'm okay!"

"No." She said coldly.

"Why?"

"Because I need to focus. Your body is so weak compared to a god's own that I can't make one mistake. I'm forcing your body to evolve after all. This isn't normal by any means."

"What? Forcefully evolving me? What does that even mean?"

Willow looked at Zion like an idiot. "Did you truly covet my power and now understand how it worked?" She asked

"Umm, yeah. It just makes me stronger, right?"

She facepalmed. "Do you know why gods would never destroy the world?"

"Because of you?"

"Yes, because my will is a part of them. Each god has a fragment of my being in them, tying them to the world. This is why they cannot leave the world."

"Wait, I thought it was because their power ties them to the world."

She shook her head. "Their power has nothing to do with it. It's my power that does. The only way for them to sever their connection to me is if they ascend to a higher plane of existence."

"A Titan," Zion muttered

"That's right."

"Wait, so you're saying that...You're turning me into a god?!"

She smiled. "Precisely. But the effects will not be instant. You will need to grow into your new power and let my energy flow naturally."

"How long would that take?" He asked

"Thanks to Luminera and Erebosa's power being in the nexus pool as well as the ancient relics in you, it should take around 200 years."

"What?! I don't have that kind of time! I need to kill those gods NOW!"

"Now, later, it doesn't matter. I did what you asked me to do. I never said you would be able to kill them now." She admitted

"But two hundred years is a long time! Look how quickly I took over the middle and underworld! I can even take over the upper world right now. But I have to wait 200 years?! So much can happen during that time!"

"Small price to pay for power." She shrugged.

"Nah, fuck that. Once this process is done, I'm facing them right away."

"Do as you wish. Just don't come crying to me when your body explodes."

He smirked. "I'm imm-"

"You're not immortal. Shut up."

"Party pooper."

"Your body is done spazzing out, and you will return to it any moment now. But I will warn you. If you use your power prematurely, it can cause permanent damage to your soul."

"I'm not afraid of taking risks."

"Never said you were. I was just giving you information."

"Whatever. Thanks for your help, though. I really appreciate it."

"Sure. I was getting tired of those gods anyway. I'm glad you want them dead."

Zion's soul form started fading away, and he returned to his body.

The moment he opened his eyes, he was struck by muscle pain so bad that he could have sworn he was rolled over by a cement truck 100 times.

"Zion! Zion, you're okay!" Tessa hugged him tightly, tears flowing down her face.

"Woah, since when did you have emotions?" He laughed.

"Jerk, you programmed me to constantly evolve and develop like a real person." She punched his arm.

"You are a real person. Doesn't matter how you were born." He smiled and hugged her back.

"Aghhh! My arms! The pain!"

"What happened to you?" She asked, wiping away her tears.

"Well, do you want the long answer or short answer?"

"The short one."

"So-"

"Just like your dick."

Zion froze. "The fuck did you just say?"

"Hehe, I'm kidding. Continue."

"Better be, hmph! Anyway, I'm becoming a god."

"What?! How? Why? When?"

"Who?" Zion continued

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Remember Willow? Well, apparently, absorbing her energy means you become a god. But this can only work on demigods like myself, and even then, the process would kill them. I'm special because-"

"You are two parts divinity and have the ancient relics." Tessa finished.

"And the nexus pools. I just realized it. Willow had me change the Nexus's energy to better suit me, making this process after for me. However, I have to wait 200 years before it completes."

"Ohh, that's not good."

"Indeed. And we still haven't taken over the upper world yet. So much work to do." He sighed.

"You should take a break for now. Your body is in no condition to move. Simply hugging me caused you a ton of pain." Tessa worried for Zion.

"You could turn off my pain receptors." He grinned.

"No, stupid. You have those for a reason."

"Tsk, lame."

"ZION FUCKING ZAGAN! I'LL KILL YOU!" Karyndra shouted from above.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me. I DON'T HAVE A MIDDLE NAME YOU STUPID BITCH!"

"Really? That's what is upsetting you?"

Zion shrugged.

"Well, someone is moody today." Lilith appeared in the air, blocking off Karyndra's attempt at killing Zion.

Then, his entire army arrived in the upper world, accompanied by Lilith's army.

"We're having a party or something?" Zion wondered.

"Filthy demons! Go back to your realm!" Karyndra cursed

"Says the bitch who sucked demon dick!" Zion shouted

Karyndra glared at him. "You!"

"Save it bitch. I've been waiting to kill you." Zion stood up, then fell back down as he was too weak to move properly.

"So I'm going to use Lilith to do so. R-Right, Lilith?" He asked with a smile.

"You're impossible." She smiled.
