Even though Zion now had the power to harm the sentinels, this didn't mean their attacks wouldn't harm him anymore. During his fight with them, he noticed two things.

First, the sentinels are not higher-level beings. This is evident from Zion being able to harm them and Karyndra being able to control them. Even though she was controlling them through their matrix, the matrix itself was not that of a higher power.

And second, they have the power to kill gods but not the body of one. This meant that they could still be killed normally if someone was strong enough to do so. This was also bad for Zion because it meant that his new suit wouldn't be as helpful as he hoped it would be against the gods.

This didn't take away from how strong they were, though, because now that Nth was taking things seriously, Zion was having a hard time facing her.

"I'll fucking kill you!" She cut open Zion's armor and punched him down to the ground.

Zion, however, didn't back down, nor did he give up. Ten dots glowed on his fingers, and he fired each of them toward the sentinel.

Just getting touched by one finger beam would instantly vaporize anything it touched, as it had the power of a supernova. But Nth perfectly dodged all of them and slammed her fists into the ground, narrowly missing Zion, who dodged at the last second.

Right as he was about to counterattack, she leaned back on one leg and spun around as her other leg turned into a massive whip that smacked Zion across the sky.

"Agh, what the hell!"

"Die!" She appeared above him, her hands morphed into hammers.

"Fuck!" He decided to take the hit while attacking Nth simultaneously.

The result was Zion getting some of his bones crushed while Nth got hurt by Zion's attack.

They continued to battle with their lives on the line, crashing into multiple floating islands, Zion narrowly avoiding death, and Nth going crazy with her attacks.

Each blow he landed on her was given back to him with triple the force, hurting him more than the damage he could inflict. So, he opted for a range battle.

He noticed that Nth was the close-quarter fighter while Thanagar was the long-range fighter, so he tried to exploit that weakness.

He used everything in his new arsenal, but after seeing how her brother failed to understand Zion's new attacks, she made sure not to get hit by any of them and focused on directing all of her energy toward Zion himself.

"Danm, she's good! I wont win like this." He spotted the Nexus Pool off in the distance and flew toward it.

"GET BACK HERE! LET ME KILL YOU!"

'Tessa! How much longer?!'

[I'm only halfway done. I need more time! Remember, there were six sentinels originally, but now only two of them exist because Erebosa merged them together. So I have to go through three matrices instead of one.]

'Well, hurry it up!'

[Don't fucking rush me, bitch!]

Zion continued to fly as fast as he could toward the Nexus Pool, narrowly avoiding the needles Nth was throwing at him until he finally reached it.

Right before he entered the pool, he turned around and clobbered Nth in the face, who didn't think he would stop flying and was caught off guard.

"Let's see if you can handle all of this!" He grabbed her by the throat and jumped into the Nexus Pool, then unloaded all of his divine power into it.

"AGGGHHHHH!!!" Nth was being bombarded with not only divine energy but the nexus energy, which was too much for her to handle. Even gods would have a difficult time being in this energy.

"Come on. Come on!" Zion shouted, hoping the process would hurry up.

"D-DIEE!" Nth stabbed Zion with all the strength she had. She pierced his lung and heart, knowing that he would die from those injuries.

But Zion simply smirked. "Sorry, but I'm immortal!" He supercharged himself with divine energy and exploded.

His blood splattered all over the area, reforming his body from his cells to his bones and organs. Then, pieces of his new armor flew onto his body, growing over his limbs until he was encased in it once more.

He stared at the nexus pool, which had enough divine energy to completely transform into it, and now waited for Willow to do her thing. Nth, on the other hand, was severely injured, and her body was mangled.

Zion walked over to her and uploaded Tessa's system into her brain, and waited for the results.

[I'm done.]

Tessa flew Thanagar over where Zion was, and he saw that the sentinel had become a blank canvas. The man was no longer than, and all that was left was a silver silhouette of a person with no features at all. The same thing happened to Nth.

[I've completely overrode their matrix and uploaded my systems to their brains. So basically, they're extensions of myself now while keeping the power they had.]

"Where's your real body?" He asked

"Right here." Tessa teleported down from space and appeared next to Zion.

"So what now? Are you gonna merge with them?"

She smiled. Touching the sentinels, nanites merged into their being, and then they liquified them. After that, the liquified sentinels were then absorbed into Tessa's body, giving her all of their power and abilities while keeping her original form.

"Woah." Zion was impressed. He didn't expect that to happen.

"Now I can truly fight by your side when you face the gods." She smiled

"We're truly almost at the finish line. Fuck, this was an intense journey." He took a seat, catching his breath.

"Do you plan on going back to your old world?" She wondered.

"Yeah. But I don't plan on staying there. I actually have an idea I want to try out, but it will take some time before I can even attempt it."

Tessa tilted her head. "What do you plan on doing?"

"I'm gonna try to-"

Zion's mind was taken to the Will of the World.

"You've completed my tasks. Well done, Zion Zagan."
