Blade of the Goddess

Chapter 285 - Natural Forces

"AAAAAGHHHHHH!!" Zion was blasted through multiple floating islands, destroying major parts of each one as he tore through them.

A second object flew right through the destruction Zion caused, grabbing his head and then slamming it onto a nearby island.

"Yes! Hold him down, brother!" Nth shouted in excitement. Her arm morphed into a blade pulsing with energy so powerful that Zion could understand why the gods would have a hard time battling against these beings.

Thinking fast, Zion teleported out of the way, causing Nth to slam her bladed hand into the ground. His suit morphed his hands into a sniper, and he shot Nth's head, which did no damage at all.

"Fucking hell." Zion cursed, pulling out his sword of forms.

After getting all of the Ancient Relics, he merged them all into one, creating a new ancient relic he called the God Blade. Why? Because it sounded cool, that's why. Though at this point, the ancient relics were not as overpowered as they normally would be because of how strong Zion's opponents are now.

Thanagar rocketed behind Zion faster than he could perceive, but his senses were in overdrive.

Right as the sentinel was about to stab Zion in the heart, He blocked his back with his sword.

"Amaya, hold him in place."

She controlled the nature that flowed in the upper world, using the elements to bind the sentinel in place so he couldn't move.

Zion then created a barrier around them to hopefully slow down Nth from saving her brother.

"Now, let's see where your matrix is."

"Do you think you can hold me forever?" Thanagar asked

"No, but I don't need to." Using the Ancient Relic of knowledge which was in his sword, Zion stabbed the sentinel, barely piercing his skin, and information popped in his head which showed him where the matrix was.

"You gotta be-"

BOOOOOM

Thanagar broke out of the bind, cracking Zion in the chest.

"Nice one, brother!" Nth followed up with a devastating kick to his back.

But as Zion was falling to the ground, a whip wrapped around Nth's leg, dragging her with him.

He slammed her onto the ground, binding her just as he did Thanagar, and searched where her matrix was as well.

[Did you locate it?] Tessa asked

"Yeah." Zion jumped back, avoiding Thanagar's attempt at removing his arms. "It's in their heads. It's literally their brain."

[Oof, that's going to be tough.]

"Are you finished? 'Cause I could use a hand here."

[Yup, almost done. We'll be down there in a bit.]

"Make it fast or I'm not gonna last. Ha, rhyme."

Thanagar swiped at his head, but Zion ducked before he could hit him. Nth came from below, her arm blades almost piercing his heart, but Zion spun to the side, kicking her away.

He palmed the air, a massive magic circle erecting where he hit the air, and chains bound Nth, which then exploded.

Zion then turned to Thanagar and used his authority over light and darkness. Since this was power akin to the gods, Thanagar couldn't take the attacks lightly and had to block or he would be injured.

Shadow tendrils wrapped around his limbs, and the light from the sun beamed down on the sentinel, crushing him under its power.

'Using existing forces with authorities is better than creating the force myself.' Zion thought to himself.

'But it's still not enough.'

He turned around and blocked Nth's blade, but it cut right through his own sword, piercing his chest.

"Nngh! Y-You decided to stop holding back, huh?" Zion grinned with blood in his mouth.

"You're more fun to fight against compared to those boring gods! So, I wanted to have fun!"

"Crazy bastard." Now Zion was understanding how others felt when he toyed with them like this.

"Brother! Brother! Come, quick. I hurt Zion!" She shouted in excitement.

"Good job, my sister." Thanagar rose into the air, and a massive sword of raw energy crackled into existence.

Zion sighed tiredly, "You gotta be kidding me."

"Yes! Kill him, brother!"

"Tessa!"

[I'm here, calm down.]

A black energy blast completely dismantled the energy sword while also slicing off Thanagar's arm in the process.

A sleek, red and black metallic suit no larger than a grown man landed in front of Zion, kicking Thanagar and Nth out of the way.

The suit then opened, and Zion jumped inside it.

"Ha! I knew it. I knew it would work!" Zion said ecstatically.

[What are you talking about?]

"Higher level beings are still susceptible to the forces of the universe as long as it's natural and not made by someone's power! This means that if I create a natural force of the universe, such as gravity, without using mana, they can be harmed by it."

[So that was what that black energy was.]

"Yeah, my singularity beam." Zion smiled.

[Y-Your what?]

"Ha, don't worry about it. Let's just kick their asses."

Zion rushed over to Thanagar, kneeing the sentinel in the stomach before flying behind him and kicking him to the ground.

Thanagar got up, releasing thousands of spells and magic circles into the air to kill Zion in one go.

But he just smiled. "Capture," Zion said, and a black hole appeared in his palm, absorbing all of the spells that were aimed his way.

"W-What is that?" Thanagar questioned, his eyes wide in shock.

"Hahaha! Neutron Blast!" A devastating beam of radiation fried everything in its path, ripping a hole in Thanagar's chest.

Zion quickly pulled the sentinel toward him and embedded Tessa's software inside him.

"Thank god they were toying with me. This is why you don't play with your food. Do your thing, Tessa."

[On it.]

While Tessa worked on Thanagar, Zion made his way over to Nth.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BROTHER?!" She shouted in a fit of rage.

"I killed him, that's what!"

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" Clapping her hands, millions of needles rained down on Zion, each of them with the power to harm a god.

"Ha, not a chance! Capture!" Again, Zion used his black hole to absorb all of the needles that were thrown his way.

"No fair! That's cheating!"

Zion laughed. "No, this is cheating. Expel." The blackhole around Zion's hand then turned white, and as he aimed it at Nth, all of the needles she threw at him and all of Thanagar's spells were launched right in her direction.

"W-What...How?" She avoided all of the incoming attacks, blocking, dodging, parrying, and even allowing some to hit her if she knew it wouldn't hurt.

Angered that Zion was using her and her brothers' attacks against her, she charged in without holding back any longer.
