Chapter 268 - Zion vs Circe
The force of the blow took Circe off guard, but it didn't hurt like she expected it to. For someone from two paths of divinity, she expected him to be a little stronger.
"Heh, that's it? You have the power of a God and Devil, and that's the strongest punch you can throw?"
Zion raised an eyebrow.
Circe cracked her neck. "Let me show you what real power is."
Her right arm flared up with power, shaking the entire battlefield. The power of a dragon was already something not to be looked down upon, but now, Circe was showing the power of a Dragon Demigod.
"With this, you'll understand that even with all those weird weapons you created, with your demigodhood, you're still nothing!" She leaped forward, winding her arm back, and punched Zion with all her might.
The sheer impact of the punch not only destroyed the ground but also generated so much heat that the ground that didn't get destroyed turned into blazing hot lava.
Winds as strong as a category five hurricane swept over the battlefield, blowing people away. Zion's army had to activate their weather-proof functions in their armor, weapons, and crafts so they wouldn't get blown away.
But after everything calmed down, Circe froze. Her arm was stuck, stuck on something it shouldn't have been stuck on. The dust was swept away, and what she saw stunned her.
Zion was standing there, completely unharmed, holding her fist as if her attack had done nothing.
"It's amazing, really. How much you underestimate me because of my inexperience compared to you. But that's okay. By the way, I was just testing your strength previously. If you want to know just how strong I am, then have a taste."
He pulled her arm and clobbered the dragon in the stomach, shattering all of her ribs and internal organs in the area of his punch. It was so strong that space literally shattered around his fist, and he had hit her even before his punch physically connected.
Zion watched her go flying from the punch, smirked slightly, then teleported above her, clobbering her to the ground.
"My Lady!" Some dragons yelled out of worry.
"You should focus on us instead of a dead woman!" Ignis cut down the distracted dragons, destroying their hearts.
'Hahaha, I see. This is my fault. My arrogance has been costing me too much lately. Zion is a threat, and I need to look at him as someone equal to me, because if not, I'll lose.' Circe stood up, dusted herself, then shifted into her half-dragon form.
Red and black scales clung to her skin like armor, a large reptilian tail grew, and wings grew from her middle and lower back. Horns sprouted out of her head, her hands af feet became sharp talons, and her power significantly increased.
When her transformation was complete, she bellowed, a roar so powerful that it froze not only Zion's troops, but her own as well.
'Dragon Fear on the level of a Demigod.' Zion felt his skin crawl, but it wasn't enough to harm him.
'Tessa.'
[Activating armor now.]
Zion's entire body was wrapped in nanobots empowered by his demigod strength. His suit hummed with power, and he was ready to take Circe down.
"Wrapping yourself in metal wont save you!" She bellowed
"This isn't just any type of metal." He responded.
"Haha! Let's find out just how strong it is!"
She jumped into the sky while Zion flew down toward her. Both of them strengthened their fists and clashed, creating a devastating explosion.
Metallic cords coming from Zion's suit wrapped around Circe, binding her in place. Zion charged up just fists with photon energy and delivered two punches in rapid succession, followed by a kick to the ground.
Circe broke out of the cords, landing on her feet. She took in a ton of air and blasted the largest and most powerful dragon-breath Zion had ever seen.
[Temperatures reaching as hot as the sun's surface.]
'Activate the holo-shield.'
A holographic shield appeared in front of Zion as he flew directly into the whirlpool of energy. His chest converted all of that power into energy, which Zion then used to fire a highly concentrated blast of energy from his chest, which tore through the dragon's breath.
Circe was shocked. 'He's overpowering my dragon's breath?' But she didn't let that deter her. Once the energy beam reached her, she protected herself with a magic circle and directed the beam elsewhere.
Zion came down fast with a punch, but she blocked it with her forearm, grabbing his own and punching him in the chest. Before he went flying, she grabbed his leg, slammed him on the ground, then kicked him in the face.
Zion rolled on the ground, but got up quickly, firing a rocket at her.
She swiped it away, the explosion happening elsewhere.
He then switched to his machine gun and bombarded Circe with thousands of mana-enhanced bullets, which she deflected with ease.
'Activate stun.'
The gun switched to the stun feature, and a circular blast fired at Circe.
Thinking it was another bullet, she deflected it, but her body froze once she did.
Zion took this opportunity and launched himself forward, kicking Circe in the stomach, followed up with two punches to the face, a kick to the ground, he grabbed her shirt, slammed her onto the ground once more, then bombarded her with laser blasts that sent him in the air.
Smoke and dust covered the area, so Zion didn't see when a large sword was hurled his way, almost taking off his head. He barely managed to dodge, but Circe teleported to her sword and slashed at his back.
Circe flew down with a maniacal smile on her face. "Come on! Show me the power of Luminera!"
Zion landed, clasped his hands together, then spread them apart. A large, powerful bow made out of light grew from his hands.
"Divine Art: Bow of Light." He let go of the drawstring, and millions of massive arrows flew toward Circe.
"That's more like it!" She yelled. "Divine Art: Blade of Destruction!"
