Blade of the Goddess

The sound barrier shattered, sending a loud boom throughout the air. Hundreds of thousands of specialized fighter jets appeared over the horizon, flying fast toward Hylaea.

But it wasn't just jets. Helicopters boomed over as well, traveling at speeds that a normal helicopter wouldn't.

On land, armored vehicles and tanks rode alongside the many aircraft, carrying hundreds of thousands of troops, with more of them walking alongside them. Water vessels raced across and under the sea, their size baffling the dragons who spotted them.

And finally, millions of people popped into view as if they were getting out of hyperspace, each of them appearing like dots in the sky, until it was completely covered. Zion even had drones with him, millions of them.

By the time Zion's entire army arrived, no one could see over the horizon as it was entirely blocked off by the sheer number of troops, vehicles, aircraft, and sea crafts.

But that wasn't the worst of the dragon's problems. Dragons have a great sense of mana, meaning they can sense mana better than any other race. Nowhere did they sense a person weaker than the Mystic stage in Zion's army.

"N-No way!"

"The sheer number of them!"

"D-Do you sense their power?!"

"Mystics!"

Circe's anger rose once more. She was played once again.

"My Lady, we're here!" Drakoth and Bracen returned with the entire Dragon army of 1.5 million troops. 1 million warriors with 500 thousand mages.

"Everyone! Hear me! Today will be the toughest battle we've ever fought since the Great War with the demons 10,000 years ago! But fear not, while our enemies may have these weird weapons, we are stronger together!" Circe spoke with power.

"Yeahhh!"

"We've faced off against Demons, fought in countless wars, and yet we still are here, thriving! This dark chapter of our lives will soon pass once we win this war! Pick up your weapons, ready your spells, and defend our home! For Bahamut!"

"FOR BAHAMUT!"

"For Glory!"

"FOR GLORY!"

"For Victory!"

"FOR VICTORY!"

"My brothers and sisters! ATTACK!"

"YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Over on Zion's side. Everyone was excited. They couldn't wait to fight and show off their skills. All of them trained for decades in his fracture and had the best weapons and army he had ever created.

A grin appeared on his face as he watched the dragons charge at him.

He spoke to his people in a low, calm, but serious tone. "Listen up, everyone. This is our turning point, our way forward. We've been given a mission, and it's time to fulfill our duty. Those graceless, tarnished bastards dare stop us from fulfilling our Goddess' wishes? Heretics! What is our name?"

"HEAVEN'S BANE!"

"And those people aren't gods. You, your neighbor, your son, your daughter, me, we're the gods around here. Who are we?"

"THE GODS OF CHAOS!"

"So let's show these pesky mortals their place. No survivors. Kill every last one of them, you see. The dragon purge starts today. Go."

"FIRE!" Zaleena shouted!

Millions of magic cannon balls rained down from the sky toward the dragons, catching them off guard. Still, they pressed forward.

"SHOW NO FEAR, DRAGONS! SHOW THEM OUR MIGHT! SHOW THEM OUR POWER!" Drakoth transformed into his colossal form, blasting most of the cannonballs out of the air.

"Mom."

"I'm on it." Zaleena took off toward Drakoth, grabbing him by the wing and tossing him away so they could battle privately.

"Troops! Aid Lord Drakoth!" Brasen yelled.

"Helen, take some people and go to Mom. Keep those dragons off her back."

"Yes, master."

"Lidia, Aurora, Ginger, Lacey, Alice, Luna....Wait, what the fuck? Luna? What are you doing here? Who's with Stella?"

"Home. My mom has her." She responded emotionlessly.

"I-I see. Anyway. There are five Lieutenants. I want each of you to take one of them on. Look, do you see the ones giving orders to the troops? That's them. Go."

"You got it, babe!"

"Oh, little brother! Don't leave us out of the fun!" Hanna jumped on Zion's back.

"Don't worry. I didn't forget about you two. You see those dragons over there?" He pointed in the distance.

Hanna put her hand over her eyes and squinted. "Yeah! I do."

"Those two are the Generals. Have fun."

"Yay! Let's go, Reina!"

"Sure. Bye, baby brother."

"Yeah." He smiled. "Aunty, Ignis, you two command the army. I'll handle Circe."

"Understood. We'll make sure things are going properly in your absence." Raven smiled

"Show them hell, Zion!" Ignis slapped him on the back.

"I will."

"ZION!" Circe's voice boomed. "Face me now!"

Zion turned and just stared at her.

At first, she thought he was going to attack, but then he just stood there and didn't do anything.

"What are you doing?"

"You said to face you, so I am. I'm staring into your eyes, facing you." He laughed.

"You think this is funny?!"

"Yes."

"Bastard!"

"Actually, my name is Zion. You might have confused me with the other guy. Don't worry, it happens."

"Is your divine blessing the ability to piss everyone off?" Circe rose into the air.

"Donno? I think I was always this way. But I wouldn't know because anyone who had an opinion like that is dead."

Circe's anger spiraled out of control, and she released the full might of her divine power.

"You and your pesky crusade! Luminera is a stain to the gods, a failure! Do you think enacting her will makes you special, a hero?" She asked

"A hero? Who said anything about that? Ain't no hero that I see bitch, I'm the villain!"

Zion activated the full might of his divine power, but not only that, he activated his Infernal power as well. Horns grew from his head, his hands became slightly scaly, and his eyes turned to slits.

Circe stood frozen in shock upon gazing at Zion's appearance. "Y-You! Demonic power?"

"Nah, infernal energy. You see, I'm not only the apostle of Luminera, but also her twin sister, who is a Devil, Erebosa."

Circe knew who Erebosa was as she was present during the Great War and even before that period of time.

"W-Wait! Then that means-"

"Yup. I'm not just a Demigod, but a Daemon. I'm double the divine bitch!"

Zion vanished from his spot and punched Circe square in the face.
