Becoming an Accidental God in a New World

Chapter 104: Ch 104- Guests- Part 5

Despite my warning to rest and recover, Leo kept pushing himself to his feet. He looked determined to get up and no amount of physical force would stop him from moving.

In the end, I had decided to ask him just what was so important that he had to run around while injured like this.

"Just sit down for now and tell me what I can do to help you out. If it is something important, then I will help you out."

I told Leo and he let out a frustrated sigh before he sat back down. But his eyes refused to settle in one place. Finally, he spoke up.

"Luna is all alone. She must be worried for me. I need to head back and assure her that I am fine. And I do feel well enough to move around…"

I pushed Leo back when he tried to stand up. He might be able to move, but I did not want to risk it.

"Just sit back down for now. I will go and tell Luna that you are with me. I might as well invite her for lunch and dinner as well. By then, you will be well enough to move around."

I informed the injured man and he grunted. But miraculously enough, he agreed with me without much fuss.

"Nyx, Erebus, take care of Leo and make sure he does not get up. Fenrir, I am leaving you in charge of the kids. Make sure they don't get hurt."

All three who were being left in charge looked surprised at my words… before determination appeared in their eyes and they gave me a clear and sincere look.

"Understood. We will make sure to follow your words. We will make sure Leo does not get up."

Nyx assured me with determined eyes and I finally left them all alone.

My destination was not that far. I just needed to go across the street and there it was—the house Luna lived in.

But somehow, that two-minute journey felt tense and too much. I pushed myself to get to her house before I knocked at the door.

Luna opened the door before she blinked as she looked at me.

"Oh my! Shopkeeper, what are you doing here? I would invite you inside, but since Leo is not here, he would get angry if I do that. Hmmm, what to do now?"

Luna muttered those last words to herself and I had a feeling I was not supposed to hear them. I ignored them for now and decided to tell her what I was here for.

"Your brother has been with me since the morning. He was helping me when his clothes had an accident. I am here to pick him another pair of clothes. Also, why don't you come over for lunch? You can meet your brother as well."

I told Luna and she looked relieved to hear me say that. Her eyes softened and tension bled out of her frame.

"You are right. I should come over… especially since Leo is there already. Silly guy. He should have told me if he was with you."

Luna had not shown her worry clearly, but it was evident that she had been worried about Leo as well.

She quickly went inside and came back outside, all in the span of a few minutes. She gave me a smile before we headed off toward my shop.

"You should lock your house. The neighborhood might look safe, but you never know."

I told Luna and she nodded before she locked her house. Just as we entered my shop, I looked behind to see someone knocking at Luna's door.

The man looked shady, with a coat covering him from head to toe. He was someone who seemed to want to cause trouble.

Unluckily for him, Luna was already out of the house and in my shop.

It almost felt like a risk to have Leo and Luna in my shop like this. But it was a calculated risk for me.

But still, I felt bothered by the man who was trying to get into Leo and Luna's house. I felt like this was a matter I needed to report to the police.

"Master, you are back? As per your instructions, we made sure the sick man did not get up, but he kept resisting. So Nyx and Erebus decided to take a more… direct approach to this situation."

Fenrir reported to me as soon as I entered and I looked at the 'solution' these kids had come up with… only to see the kids having bound Leo to the bed with tape and ribbons.

Somehow, the kids had succeeded and now Leo could not break apart his binds… not that he was trying that hard anyway.

"Please stop moving around. Shopkeeper told you to rest."

Nyx spoke in a determined voice as she held more tape. Her brother held more ribbons in his hand to tie up Leo even more.

Leo sighed as he played along with the kids (or so I thought).

"Fine! I get it. Just… stop duct-taping me like this. I don't think I can take it anyway."

The man told the kids as he tried to break free from the bonds that held him back once more. The kids noticed that I was back and they quickly came over to me.

"Shopkeeper, Leo kept trying to break free of his bonds, so we ended up trapping him like this. I hope you do not mind."

They told me while looking guilty because of what they did. But I just ruffled their hair before I helped Leo out of his binds.

"Thank you, kids. But I do think this was going a little too far."

I told them as I tried to undo the binds they had tied Leo up with, but it was difficult somehow. These binds were too strong and intricate. In the end, the ribbon could not be saved as I had to cut it all to get rid of it.
