Assassin God: Rise of the Strongest Player

Chapter 35 : LadyFlame’s Proposal

Later that evening, Nash got hold of his head gear after he had eaten a sumptuous meal for dinner.

It was time for him to play the game again.

*Ding*

[Welcome back, Neon]

Nash breezed through his friend list, only to find out that Eileen was offline and for some reason, he felt a little bit disappointed that he wouldn't play with her.

'Looks like she's on shift today,' Nash thought.

*Ding*

Before he could even confirm LadyFlame's online status, he received a message from her.

'Tch! Is she stalking me?!' his mind reeled dramatically as he saw the message.

[LADYFLAME: Are you ready to do some business?]

Nash looked at the message with surprise.

It felt as though LadyFlame was poking into his mind and scavenging his current thoughts.

[NEON: What sort of business are you talking about?]

He was interested in what LadyFlame had to say but he also did not want to come off as desperate.

Putting a foot forward in desperation is not a good way to start when it comes to making money.

[LADYFLAME: I was just thinking about it. Since you can easily clear that fire dungeon, how about you help others who can't do it to clear it as well, at some cost of course.]

[NEON: That dungeon is just level 2 though. Why would anyone pay for help to clear it, when they can just stack as much fire resistance. Easy peasy.]

LadyFlame bit her lips in frustration because Nash was not seeing the same thing she was.

Maybe the dungeon had been easy for him but for some other players like her, it was not and she knew that there were others in similar situations.

[LADYFLAME: The dungeon was easy for you but it was not as easy for many people. Take me for example, I couldn't find a team to take me in until you came along. There are definitely others like that out there.]

Nash gave it a brief thought and surely, LadyFlame made some sense.

If he could find some others like her, for example, fire type mages, then it was possible to make some money.

[LADYFLAME: You should consider it. I've been looking for people like me that can't seem to find a team to accept them for most of today and luckily I was able to gather a good number.]

'Damn! She sure has been busy,' Nash thought after reading the message.

[NEON: How many people?]

[LADYFLAME: About 10 of them and I told them how you helped me. Guess what? They are willing to pay for you to help them too. That's why I'm sure it will work.]

Nash was happy reading this and instantly, he made his decision right there and then.

"100 to 200 coins per person is not a lot but with 10 people, I can easily get 1000 to 2000 copper coins."

[NEON: Okay then. Tell them to meet me at the Fiery Marsh]

[LADYFLAME: See you there]

******

Not long after their in-game chatting, LadyFlame arrived with the group of 10 players just as she had said she would.

Nash was already at Fiery Marsh waiting for them to arrive.

"You guys, wait here," LadyFlame said to them as she approached Nash.

They looked at each other and shared their thoughts on the situation, especially after meeting Nash.

A few of them were worried that it was a scam, finding it hard to believe that one person would lead through a dungeon like Fiery Marsh.

"We have nothing to lose," one of them said, trying to encourage the other. "If he's a scam, we can always gang up on him after we leave the dungeon and take his drops as payback."

Meanwhile, LadyFlame was explaining a few things to Nash.

"They are all fire type mages?" Nash asked, shocked at how LadyFlame was able to achieve this, but for her it was quite easy since she shared similar attributes and had also been through their current predicament.

They talked for a few more minutes before Nash walked up to the group to address them.

"I don't want a lot for you. However, I can do this for free," Nash began speaking. "I will be charging 100 copper coins per person. However, drops from the dungeon raid would be shared in random mode, strictly based on your luck. I hope we all have an agreement.

After muttering for a few seconds, they all chorused, "Yes!"

"100 copper coins is not bad though," one of Nash's clients whispered to another. "Technically, it's not up to a dollar."

The one being spoken to shrugged. "I guess. I just want to scale through and move ahead like others. Tch! It's frustrating right now."

Nash heard some of the words they muttered among themselves and he couldn't help but chuckle.

He had just made the copper coin equivalent of one dollar and he did not even move a finger to do so.

He was already used to [Fiery Marsh] and his clearing time reduced with each attempt.

As a result, it became easier for him to finish the quest.

Nash helped the first set of players, and another set after that.

Another… and another.

He was good with it now and helped other players through the dungeon in a matter of minutes.

After some hours had passed, Nash had made about 75,000 copper coins excluding the coin drops he got from the several dungeon raids.

An equivalent of about $75 in real life just from helping players alone was something he did not ever imagine would happen to him.

$75 in a couple of hours paid better than many jobs out there and if he would have the same luck to consistently make it everyday, it would make a crazy buck!

Nash was excited as he saw himself draw closer to his goals.

'At this rate, I will be able to settle my debt with William soon. Then I can leave school and a house and become a full time player.'

Everything looked perfect, fitting seamlessly as he planned.

Nash only hoped it would stay that way.
