Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 381: Eliminating the Zombie Leader

Seeing this, he decided to take care of it first so that he could break the organization of the zombies.

Moreover, he understood that if such a zombie is left to grow stronger, then it would become a serious problem for humans in the future.

Its intelligence was still so low, yet it already knew how to rally other zombies to attack humans. If this was left to continue, things would become difficult.

"There is a zombie acting as a leader near the back of the crowd. I will go and take care of it so that killing the rest will be easier.

You guys take care of each other. Since we are going to be people of the same sect, we have to watch out for each other." Li Kun instructed as he observed the few people in the warehouse.

He wanted to see if any of them would be discontent about working together, but upon seeing that no one objected, he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Okay then. Team leader, you guys give me your bags of supplies so that I can put them in my space. We will kill our way out, which means that we won't be able to come back for anything once we leave, and you can't fight with such heavy weight.

Once we are out of this encirclement, then I will give you back your bags." It was just a suggestion. Li Kun would not force these people to give him their supplies if they doubted him.

To his surprise, the five people didn't even blink as they handed over all their supplies. He was shocked for a moment before waving his hand and keeping everything away.

"Captain, are you going alone?" One of the soldiers asked.

"Yes, I will go alone. You guys can fight your way towards our vehicles. I will follow behind you once I take care of it." When he said 'it' everyone knew what he was referring to. It was the zombie acting like a leader.

"Alright then. Be careful." The leader of the other team said and Li Kun took out a submachine gun and headed outside.

Everyone else took their weapons and followed after him. However, they were going to fight the underlings while Li Kun went after the leader.

The moment Li Kun stepped outside, the foul stench of rot and decay hit him like a heavy wall.

The guttural roars of the undead echoed through the air, each one more shrill and bloodcurdling than the last.

His eyes narrowed, and his grip on the submachine gun tightened as he scanned the sea of bodies pushing against each other in their hunger for flesh.

This wasn't the first time he was facing such a situation, but every time he is reminded that these used to be people just like him. But without a choice, he had to end them once and for all.

The other soldiers surged out behind him, guns blazing, immediately attracting the attention of the front lines of zombies.

This gave Li Kun the opportunity to start making his way in the direction of the leader. The submachine gun in his hands never stopped spraying bullets.

The sharp cracks of gunfire rang through the air, and bursts of light flared as bullets tore into decaying bodies.

On the other hand, You Yue, Wei Zi Qi and the other superpower users darted between the gaps, flames and water exploding from their palms, like sharpened blades cutting down any zombie that dared come close.

The other ordinary members had their weapons of choice following behind them and ending any zombie that managed the pass through or the ones that weren't completely dead.

Li Kun didn't join them. His target was already set. His divine sense lingered on the strange zombie at the back, the one that had been giving orders.

As he got closer and the path to that zombie became clearer, he noticed the difference between that zombie and the others. Its eyes glowed faintly red, unlike the dull haze of the others, and its guttural growls carried strange fluctuations that made the surrounding horde move in frightening unison.

That was his prey today.

Without hesitation, he dashed forward, weaving between zombies with practiced ease.

The movement techniques he had cultivated recently came into play now.

He made sure to pass between the zombies without them succeeding in their numerous attempts to scratch him.

His boots connected with the ground and he could almost feel as if he had become one with the earth.

This should have something to do with his element of cultivation.

Whenever one of the undead lunged at him, his gun barked in response, giving them headshots, clean and merciless.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of gunfire reverberated throughout that area. Even those who had already gone far away could hear the aftermath of the fight.

Rotting skulls burst apart like melons, spraying putrid black blood across the ground.

But he didn't waste unnecessary bullets. Some he simply kicked aside when he was too close.

Behind him, he could hear the shouts of his comrades ringing out.

"Don't let them surround us!"

"Cover the left flank!"

A fireball exploded one second, burning three zombies to ash, while a water blade razor-sharp shredded another's chest open.

But even as they fought desperately, more zombies poured in from the alleys and broken buildings nearby.

If they didn't know any better, they would have thought that the city was vomiting out its dead to stop them.

Li Kun continued to move forward. He had not lifted his divine sense yet as he trailed that one zombie.

Suddenly, he felt a sudden chill that only came with a trained sense of danger. Before he could turn around to check the direction that feeling came from, a zombie lunged at him from the side with sharp claws that didn't resemble a human's, aimed at his throat.

Suddenly, something fell from above the zombie and smashed it to the ground before it could touch him.
