Another World Domination

Chapter 4: Chapter 3 : The Moving Land

"For now, forget about that weird wall. It's better to use the Moving Land Skill right away, before something screws up the plan."

He stepped onto the surface of the sea, the rolling waves making it hard to stand steady. But, it was amazing to feel himself standing on the water.

He turned his gaze to the sky, where the moon shone brightly in the night. The moon looked especially beautiful tonight. After enjoying the view, he looked at his surroundings. As far as he could see, there was nothing but the dark, endless ocean.

The cold air made him shiver.

He didn't want to waste any more time, so he immediately activated his Moving Land Skill. After doing so, he linked his vision with the Pains, to make sure they had driven the metal rods he'd given them into the ground.

After a quick check, he confirmed that the black rods were in place.

He pulled a black rod from his right hand. This one looked different from the rods the Pains usually used. This rod had a white Rinnegan pattern in the center. He threw the special black rod into the sea until it stuck in the ground.

He formed a hand seal with his right hand.

After that, he felt the rod extend deep into the earth's mantle, then suddenly stop. The rod wouldn't melt in the depths of the mantle because it was made to be extremely durable, as strong as graphene.

This special black rod would serve as the coordinates for the Land of Rain, which he planned to relocate. Without this rod, the skill wouldn't work.

Alright, time to summon the Gedo Mazo.

He formed another hand seal, then touched his right hand to the choppy surface of the water.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Gedo Mazo!" As he said these words, his Rinnegan eyes glowed briefly and then faded.

Instantly, a loud roar came from beneath the sea. He watched the water around him surge upwards. It was like a massive creature was emerging from the dark depths.

The creature finally revealed its head. It was the Gedo Mazo. Its frightening appearance and incredibly powerful chakra aura radiated from the statue.

The Gedo Mazo continued to rise to the surface and finally stopped, the water covering half of its body.

He was seeing the Gedo Mazo for the first time. "This incredibly strong chakra aura and terrifying appearance...just as expected from the Juubi's shell."

The Juubi, or Shinju, was the ancient tree that has existed since the very beginning of this world.

From this close, he could feel the limitless chakra energy inside the Gedo Mazo. The Gedo Mazo was only filled with seven of the Tailed Beasts at the moment and it was already this strong.

He felt like he was seeing the world itself, because of the limitless chakra energy he sensed.

After getting over his shock, he went on with his plan. The Gedo Mazo opened its mouth, and a black rod came out. He turned around so that it would connect to his back.

The five black rods connected to his body. Once connected, the Gedo Mazo channeled a massive amount of chakra through the rods, making him gasp for breath, suddenly overloaded with so much power.

"I don't wonder why Madara and Obito wanted to become the Sage of Six Paths. The Gedo Mazo really is this powerful." he said, still gasping.

"Alright then, let's finish this operation." He rapidly formed hand seals and touched the water with his right hand, then shouted,

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Land!"

The instant he spoke those words, the five black rods connecting him to the Gedo Mazo began to glow intensely.

A black rune circle spread out rapidly in all directions.

He smiled as he saw this. The black rune was meant to call the Land of Rain to the Kaiju Ocean. The rune would continue to expand until it covered the entire 88,499 square kilometers of the Land of Rain.

He could feel the vibrations all around him.

At the same time, in the Land of Rain, the black rods that the Pains had driven into the ground began to shine so brightly they lit up the night sky.

Throughout the Land of Rain and the surrounding countries, earthquakes began to occur.

Konan, seeing this, smiled. It had been 12 hours and 33 minutes since Nagato's departure. The operation was finally starting.

Fortunately, she had anticipated this situation long ago. She had gathered all the citizens of the Land of Rain into a single evacuation point, excluding the areas under the direct control of the daimyo.

95% of the Land of Rain's population had been evacuated to safety.

Although, she was confused about how Nagato reached his destination so much sooner than she expected.

At a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, Nagato was supposed to arrive at his destination by 7:57 AM.

And it was currently just 4:01 AM on Thursday. Using the current Amegakure time zone, How did he do it? Konan wondered.

Fire Country, Konoha Village. The Fifth Hokage's office.

Tsunade was currently reviewing documents when she suddenly felt a powerful tremor. Her glass of water fell off the desk and shattered on the floor.

"An earthquake?" Tsunade muttered softly.

"Anbu! Evacuate the civilians immediately, and order the Earthquake Response Team to locate the epicenter." Tsunade commanded firmly.

Suddenly, five Anbu guarding outside the Hokage's office appeared in the room, and said in unison "Understood, Hokage-sama."

After that, they vanished.

Tsunade looked out the window, buildings were collapsing from the earthquake.

"Shizune, where do you think the epicenter of this is?" Tsunade asked.

Shizune, caught off guard, looked confused.

Seeing Shizune's confused face, Tsunade answered, "It's probably in the Land of Rain."

"Why do you think that, Tsunade-sama?" Shizune asked, surprised.

"I don't know. I can't explain it, but my gut feeling says so." Tsunade replied.

"The earthquake is relatively small at this time. Probably around a 5.5 on the Richter scale. So, Tsunade-sama, Konoha won't suffer much damage." Shizune felt that the quake was about to stop.

"I hope so." Tsunade had a bad feeling about this earthquake. She felt that the future was starting to deviate from its original course.

What was going to happen next?...

Other shinobi villages who felt the earthquake started evacuating their people.

Meanwhile, the one who caused the earthquake was relaxing in the night sky, waiting for the land of the Land of Rain to be moved.

The Gedo Mazo had returned to its place, in one of Akatsuki's hideouts around the world.

Suddenly, he saw an incredibly bright, blinding light below him. He reflexively closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he saw a landmass had appeared beneath him. It was as if the land had always been there, when moments ago there was only the ocean.

The emergence of the Land of Rain hadn't created even a small tsunami, which defied common sense.

"Just as expected from a fantasy world," he said, upon seeing this. Normally, the arrival of an entire landmass would cause a tsunami and massive earthquakes, but nothing of that nature happened.

A man with a spiral mask, with only his right eye visible, was sitting in a stone chair. He was apparently waiting for someone to arrive.

The room around him was pitch black, lit only by two torches on the wall, creating a creepy atmosphere.

If a normal person was there, they would be scared. But this man was far from normal.

"The tremors have stopped?" the masked man said.

He watched an odd thing rise from the ground. It looked like an aloe plant, but it wasn't.

"Zetsu, do you know where the epicenter of the earthquake was?" The spiral masked man asked.

The aloe plant split open, revealing a strange-looking man. Half of his body was black and the other half was white.

"I've already investigated. The source of the earthquake was the Land of Rain. I don't know what caused it, but there's something important I have to tell you." Zetsu stared at Obito seriously.

The Land of Rain? Was Nagato up to something? He looked at Zetsu, "Tell me what it is?" he asked.

"The entire landmass of the Land of Rain has disappeared, leaving nothing but a bottomless chasm," Zetsu said.

Obito was shocked after hearing this information. His hands and legs began to tremble, then he regained his composure.

"Then, have you found Nagato?" Obito asked, panicking. Without Madara's Rinnegan, he wouldn't be able to execute the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

If Madara's Rinnegan was destroyed or lost, he wouldn't be able to summon or control the Gedo Mazo.

"No, I searched the entire continent using my clones, but I couldn't find him. The white Zetsu clone that was in the Land of Rain also lost contact with me. It's possible Nagato died when the Land of Rain disappeared," Zetsu said. Black Zetsu was very upset at this moment, the plan to revive his mother would have to be delayed once again. And to revive another rinnegan would take too long. Fuck the Sage of Six Paths.

Obito didn't know what to do now. Without the Rinnegan, the Infinite Tsukuyomi project would be halted. To be honest, he was a bit desperate at the moment.

"Zetsu, keep investigating what happened, why did the Land of Rain disappear?" Obito immediately ordered Zetsu.

"Understood, Madara-sama."

Zetsu immediately burrowed into the ground to gather information about the missing Land of Rain.

After watching Zetsu disappear, he finally spoke. "Nothing goes as planned, does it? You were right, Madara." After saying this, his entire body was sucked into a spiral vortex.

Konoha Village, Hokage's Office.

There wasn't much infrastructure damage, and the casualties were minimized. This was due to the Hokage's quick decision to evacuate the civilians.

"Reporting, Hokage-sama. The Earthquake Response Team has located the source of the earthquake. It was in the Land of Rain." An Anbu ninja suddenly appeared in front of her.

Hearing that report, Tsunade frowned. This matched her hunch from earlier. "Was this earthquake caused by the Akatsuki leader?"

The thought briefly crossed her mind, but it seemed unlikely. Tsunade immediately dismissed that idea.

Kaiju Ocean location.

Wednesday, November 30th, Year 80 of the Shinobi World Calendar. 10:33 PM, Earth's Northern Hemisphere time.

This day would be remembered by future historians as a turning point in human history.

This calendar was first used after the end of the Warring States Period.

He flew towards the landmass below, to meet Konan.

He saw many collapsed buildings, but also some that were still standing. He had already anticipated this; the people who had died as a result would become the spirit of the nation's resurgence.

He headed for the Akatsuki building, the one with the statue of the person sticking out their tongue.

When he arrived, he saw Konan standing on the tongue of the Akatsuki building. She was apparently waiting for him.

He landed on the tongue of the building and looked at Konan.

"Nagato, will Amegakure change because of this?" Konan asked softly.

"Yes. By the way, what about the civilians?" He asked this to confirm that Konan had evacuated the civilians, as he had planned.

"Of course, I evacuated all the civilians in the Land of Rain, except for areas under the daimyo's direct control, to a single location." Konan saw the happy look on Nagato's face, and her heart felt inexplicably happy seeing that.

"Good, as for the daimyo, I'll take care of him later."

"What are you going to do to the daimyo's family, Nagato?" Konan asked. In her mind, it would be better to just kill them, so that all power in the Land of Rain would be in Nagato's hands.

"I want to get rid of the trash known as the daimyo, and now is the best opportunity to do it." He said with a cold expression.

Konan understood what he meant by the best opportunity. They could use the earthquake as the reason for the daimyo's death, so no one would suspect they were the ones who killed him.

The moon was shining brightly tonight.

The night of slaughter was about to begin.

"Let's go clean up the remaining trash in this country, Konan." After saying that, he flew off in the direction of the daimyo's residence.
