Another World Domination

Chapter 5: Chapter 4 : Trash

He and Konan were currently standing before the daimyo's lavish palace.

He didn't see a single guard. Had they all bolted when the earthquake hit? They'd even abandoned the daimyo inside.

Inside the opulent palace, he only detected the presence of three people.

He'd also checked within a 200-meter radius, and he hadn't sensed any other humans. That meant this palace really was empty except for those three.

Nagato Uzumaki, born into the Uzumaki clan, possessed the clan's unique abilities, including a powerful sensory-type ability.

So, it was no surprise that he could sense a person's presence from up to 1000 meters away.

But seriously, a palace with grounds stretching for 1000 meters, and it's only got three people inside? What a joke.

The Rain Country daimyo's palace featured typical Japanese architecture. Moreover, the daimyo's residence was built near a main road and alongside a river for easy transportation and to safeguard a location considered strategically important.

The palace also doubled as a wartime headquarters, storing funds for war expenses and being a central depot for supplies like food and ammunition.

Rain Country Daimyo's Palace

But honestly, the architect who designed this palace deserves some serious props. Aside from the beautiful design, the building is also earthquake-resistant.

The earthquake he'd caused was powerful enough to crush a steel building. Yet, this palace, made of wood and stone, hadn't collapsed. That was what made him marvel at the architect's work.

Konan turned her gaze to Nagato, seeing him about to use hand seals. Then she asked, "What are you summoning, Nagato?" The hand seals Nagato had just used were for the summoning jutsu, so she was curious about what he would call forth.

"I just want to bring the Pains here," he answered. Honestly, he wanted to explore the full extent of his Rinnegan's abilities, but there were still important tasks he had to take care of first.

After dealing with this dirty work, he wanted to chill out on a soft bed for a bit. He was honestly exhausted after all the activities he'd done today. In his previous life, he'd never been this busy. At most, he'd just study, play video games, and watch anime.

That had been his daily routine in his past life because he didn't have friends to do anything else with. Ever since first grade, his parents had always pushed him to study. Most of his childhood was spent studying, which is why he didn't have a single friend. He didn't resent his parents for their behavior, either. They had only done it for his future.

Honestly, he should be grateful to his parents. If he hadn't studied constantly, he wouldn't have had all this knowledge that now helped him in this world.

But, compared to people his age, he was vastly different. Besides the difference in IQ, his life principles were different too. He'd go to any lengths to achieve his dreams, even if it meant becoming a monster.

His dream was simple: to create a new world, a world where he was the leader.

A peaceful world, without conflict and war. He would achieve it all, no matter what it took, even if it meant sacrificing millions of lives.

He wasn't someone who was born into war or raised in a war environment. He was just a lucky kid who was born into a wealthy family. He had never felt the pain of war. But why did he have a dream like that?

His mother had always urged him to study and study, saying things like this:

'Louis, do you hate your mom for always forcing you to study? You must. Do you know why I always push you to study? It's because of knowledge. Knowledge changed my life. Knowledge is how I met your father. Knowledge is why I'm grateful for having you. Did you know, Louis, I was born into a poor family? My family couldn't even afford to send me to school because of our financial struggles. But I didn't want to end up like my parents. I knew what could change my destiny: knowledge. So every day I collected discarded books and newspapers, and I studied hard to change my fate. And look at the result now, I'm successful and have changed my destiny.

Now do you understand, Louis?! I don't want you to become complacent because of your father's and my wealth. And I don't want you to experience what I went through to achieve all this.

To maintain this wealth, all you need is knowledge. In addition to that, I also want you to become useful to many people. Use your knowledge and discoveries to create a peaceful world. That's all I want, Louis. And thank you for being born into this world. Your presence in this world is the greatest gift, and giving birth to you is a destiny I'm always grateful for.' At that moment he realized his mother cared for him deeply, and everything she did was for him. She didn't hate him, as he'd thought.

Those were the last words he'd ever heard her say. The next day, he received news of his parents' accident, which had killed them both. It was like God was testing him, to see whether he would become the person his parents had wanted him to be or not.

Her last words still resonated with him even now. And that was the reason he had such a dream.

After contemplating that, he formed hand seals, then touched his hands to the ground, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He declared.

Instantly, a large plume of white smoke appeared. When it finally dissipated, it revealed six Pains in Akatsuki uniforms gathered in front of him.

After that, he and Konan walked into the daimyo's palace, leaving the Pains to guard the outside.

Upon entering, he was a bit surprised by the palace's interior design. If he had a smartphone, he'd be snapping photos all over the place. It was like stepping into a real Japanese castle. Everything here had that East Asian Japanese vibe, like this Buddha statue, for example.

In this world, Buddhism was the dominant religion, with many followers, so it was no wonder that he'd see a Buddha statue in the palace.

"Konan, where do you think the samurai who guarded this daimyo's palace are?" he asked her. He felt something was off. Why would the brainwashed samurai leave their master like that?

"When I wanted to evacuate this area, I went to the daimyo's palace to request permission to evacuate the civilians. At that time, the palace was still bustling and there were many samurai moving about. I met a samurai leader; Toyotomi Hirashi, if I'm not mistaken. I had a brief conversation with him to meet the daimyo," Konan said, looking annoyed.

Seeing Konan's annoyed face, he chuckled a little.

"What's so funny, Nagato?" Konan asked, sounding irritated.

"Nothing, nothing." He stopped laughing and then said, "So you weren't allowed to meet the daimyo, right?" he asked. Although he had never met the daimyo, as the leader of a feudal nation, he knew what kind of person he'd be.

History books described it. Konan must have been furious when she wasn't allowed to see the daimyo, especially when it concerned the lives of so many people.

Even though Konan and he were the legitimate leaders of Amegakure, their power was still limited to Amegakure. Outside of that, they couldn't do anything.

Fortunately, during the 10 years that Nagato and Konan had governed Amegakure, they had become very popular with the people of the Rain Country. Without the people's trust, Konan wouldn't have been able to gather 95% of the Rain Country's population at the evacuation site.

"Yeah, that damn daimyo wouldn't even see me. So, I just left," Konan stated.

After hearing that, he paused to think, then said, "Do you know where the nearest evacuation site is around here?"

"The evacuation site around here?" Konan considered. It was possible that all the daimyo's subordinates had fled to an evacuation site nearby. Since they arrived in the Kyoto prefecture, they hadn't seen a single person.

Konan pondered for a moment, then replied, "If I remember correctly, there's an underground chamber nearby. It just so happens that it's earthquake-resistant. Could they all have gone there?"

An underground chamber? Was that another of Orochimaru's crazy labs?

Seeing his confused look, Konan explained, "Yeah, it's understandable that you don't know about it. This underground chamber has been around since the first generation of the Miraishi dynasty. The underground chamber was used to evacuate the Miraisih family and their followers if the palace ever fell into enemy hands. But because there was never a civil war in the Rain Country, that chamber was left abandoned for centuries."

Oh, right, that makes sense. It was never mentioned in the anime. By the way, who was this Miraishi family? Were they the ones who held the daimyo's throne?

"Nagato, what's your plan after this?" Konan asked.

Seeing Konan's serious gaze, he didn't know what to answer. He was just too exhausted to do more work after this.

"After this, I want to rest for a day. You know, since getting back from Konoha, I haven't even had a chance to relax," he replied, walking towards the stairs.

He had just realized something so important. Indeed, since they'd returned from Konoha, they had been busy with all sorts of plans. Okay, once they got back from here, she wanted to make Nagato a meal.

Konan stared at Nagato's back. For some reason, she sensed Yahiko's aura in Nagato.

"Konan, what are you doing?" he asked, seeing Konan had stopped moving in the middle of the stairs.

"Uh… it's nothing," Konan replied, flustered. She had just realized she had been thinking too much and had forgotten she was on a mission.

Nagato looked at her with a strange look, then said, "If that's the case, let's hurry to the daimyo's room. We're talking too much."

He hurried toward the room where he sensed three people.

He stopped in front of the doorway to the daimyo's chamber. He felt strange. He couldn't hear any noise inside, but he could sense the three people in the room.

This was odd.

"What happened, Nagato? Why did you suddenly run?" Hold on, something was off with this room. He could clearly sense the presence of someone in the room, but why was it so silent?

She had a sensory-type ability too, but it wasn't as powerful as Nagato's. Her sensory range only extended 20 meters.

"Something's strange about this room, Nagato," Konan said.

Even without being told, he already knew. This was too strange, even for him. At such a short distance, he should have been able to hear the three of them, but there was no sound at all.

Standing here in silence wouldn't accomplish anything.

He grabbed the doorknob and tried to open the door. It was locked from the outside, it seemed.

Then he'd have to smash the door down. He didn't really want to do that, since they'd use this property as a center of government later.

He clenched his fist and slammed it into the door. It instantly produced a powerful shockwave.

The door shattered and even punched a hole in the wall opposite it.

Looking at the chaos before him, "I really need to better control my strength," he muttered.

Konan, who was beside him, didn't seem surprised by the punch. Did the Pains usually punch with that kind of strength? she wondered.

He and Konan stepped into the room. Inside, they saw three people lying on the floor, wrapped in black plastic. Their entire bodies were wrapped up like Egyptian mummies.

"Are they dead?" he asked Konan.

Konan tore open the plastic covering the victim's face. She checked to see if they were still breathing.

"They're breathing, but weakly." Konan continued to tear open all the plastic covering the victim's body.

"Looks like this is torture." But who was doing this? And why?

"Nani!!" Konan shouted in shock.

Hearing Konan's cry made him alert. He turned his gaze towards the victim Konan had uncovered.

"What happened? Why did that person age so quickly? And now they're just bones," he said. It didn't make any sense. Why had that person aged? He had been fine before, with just some pretty serious wounds. But now, look, he was just a human skeleton.

What was going on? Was this some enemy jutsu? He had never seen a jutsu like this in the anime.

"Konan, be careful." He looked around the room to make sure there weren't any enemies around.

He activated his full sensory abilities, but he didn't detect a single person. This was weird. Was there someone capable of avoiding his sensory abilities?

It appeared that the person who turned to bones was a man. Before he died, he had clearly seen his features. There was no mistaking it, the person who was now just bones was the daimyo.

"Konan, the one who turned to bones, that was the daimyo, right?" he asked, hesitantly.

If the daimyo was dead, then the objective of their coming here was finished. But who had attacked the daimyo? Furthermore, this jutsu was terrifying; it could make someone age at an unnatural speed.

Although, if an enemy used a jutsu like this on him, it wouldn't have any effect. The reason was that he was, in a sense, eternally young. He had incredible super regeneration. Even if the universe ended, he would never age.

But what worried him was not himself but Konan. If an enemy were to attack Konan with a jutsu like this, it would be dangerous.

He didn't know what the conditions were to activate this jutsu. Activate…?

"Konan, try opening the plastic wrapping on the other one." Something was wrong with this plastic. Also, why were all three people's bodies covered in plastic like mummies?

"Uh... okay." Konan used her paper ability to create a new arm out of paper. The arm floated over to the person whose plastic had not yet been opened.

Konan controlled the hand to open the plastic covering the person's face.

After Konan tore it open, she saw the face of a pretty young woman. Her face was covered in bruises.

Nagato observed this; this was also a victim of torture, it seemed. Wait, what was happening? He saw the woman's face begin to age very rapidly. "Oh, shit, this woman is aging, too. There's no doubt about it, Konan. If we open the plastic covering their bodies, they'll experience aging at an incredibly fast rate," he said. But seriously, what was the trigger? The jutsu seemed to activate when the plastic wrapping was removed.

"This jutsu is terrifying," Konan said when she saw the effect of the jutsu. A jutsu that could make someone age so rapidly? That was a Class S jutsu.

However, it seemed that the conditions for activating the jutsu were a bit complicated. The victim's whole body had to be covered in this black plastic. Wait, plastic? Was it just ordinary plastic, or was it specially made for this jutsu?

"Konan, leave the body alone. Also, was that man earlier the daimyo?" Nagato asked. Honestly, he didn't want to linger in a room with dead bodies.

"Yes, that man was the daimyo. Didn't you see him?" Konan answered Nagato's question while examining the room.

"I didn't see him earlier. Since the daimyo's already dead, let's go to the underground chamber you mentioned. Before that, I want to do this." He walked towards the person whose plastic wrap hadn't been removed.

"What do you want to do?" she watched Nagato, who was about to do something to the surviving victim.

He ignored Konan's question and focused on looking at the still-living victim. He wanted to experiment on this living victim.

If left alone, they'd die anyway. And there was no way to save them. It would be better to use their body for experimentation, right?

He pulled out a kunai from his pocket and lightly cut his finger to draw some blood.

After doing that, he plunged the kunai into the victim's body, making a hole. He heard a whimper from the victim.

Konan was confused about what Nagato intended to do to the living victim.

He pulled out the kunai and then stuck his injured finger into the hole he had just made.

He channeled his blood into the victim's body so that it would spread to all parts.

Why was he doing this? He wanted to try one of the Founding Titan's abilities: creating mindless Titans. By donating his blood to someone, he could turn them into a Subject of Ymir. Then he would be able to transform them into a mindless Titan.

He pulled his finger out of the victim's body. Looking at his blood-covered finger and the victim's blood-covered body made him feel sick.

He suddenly felt like throwing up but couldn't.

Seeing Nagato's pale face made Konan worried. "Nagato, are you okay?" Konan took Nagato's blood-covered hand.

He released Konan's hand from his grasp, then put some distance between them.

"I'm fine." He stood back up and turned his gaze towards the victim next to him. Then he saw something bizarre again. What was happening? Why was the blood that was covering the victim's body beginning to dry? What did this mean? Blood usually took a long time to reach this effect.

The only answer he could come up with was time acceleration! Time was moving very quickly around this body.

Damn it, a jutsu related to time. There was no doubt about it. It was because time was moving thousands of times faster around their bodies that those people had aged so quickly to become bones. That's what had killed them. Everything has an end, humans included. A human lifespan is only 100 years. If their time were accelerated, their bodies would age at an accelerated rate too.

This was terrifying. He had never seen a jutsu like this in the anime.

Before this person died, he had to use that ability.

He took a deep breath and then yelled, "Uuahhh!!!"

Nagato's sudden scream startled Konan. "What's happening, Nagato? Why did you yell?"

Seeing Konan coming closer to him, he reflexively ran towards Konan and then carried her out of the daimyo's room.

Konan was suddenly shocked at being carried by Nagato. Wait, what was that yellow light? She saw a bright yellow light coming out of the daimyo's room.

Suddenly there was a tremor, and then it stopped.

He lowered Konan, then waited for her to talk to him.

"What exactly happened, Nagato?" She stared at Nagato to get an explanation about all of this.

"I'll explain." He walked back into the daimyo's room.

Seeing this, Konan followed him.

After Konan entered, she was shocked by a strange creature in front of her. This creature was like a human, but a human that had been enlarged tens of times. It was probably about 10 meters tall.

Aside from being big, this creature had an odd, idiotic look.

Nagato, seeing a Titan for the first time, felt a thrill of excitement in his heart. Before, he had just casually wished for this ability, but now he was grateful that he had. Titans were perfect beings for the battlefield. In order to create a new world, warfare was unavoidable, and this Titan itself was a very powerful biological weapon.

The Titan in front of him seemed eager to devour the two of them. Just look at that drool coming from its mouth. But luckily, as the Founding Titan, he could control this creature.

"Let me introduce you. This creature is a Mindless Titan. The person I just stabbed," He looked over at Konan, who was standing next to him, waiting for her reaction.

"I get it. So what's so great about this big creature you call a Mindless Titan, Nagato?" She understood what had happened. She had been puzzled by Nagato's actions earlier, but now it all made sense. Nagato had just injected his own blood into that person's body. And the reason Nagato had yelled earlier must've been the trigger for this strange ability.

She didn't know why Nagato's blood could turn a human into a huge, weird creature like this. But one thing she understood: Nagato was becoming more and more powerful.

"Mindless Titans have an extremely powerful super regeneration, and they're almost impossible to kill through normal means. Mindless Titans won't die if you just cut off their arms or stab them with a sword or anything like that. The wounds will heal instantly. Mindless Titans don't need food or water, they only need sunlight. As long as there's sunlight, they'll stay alive. Mindless Titans also have a very strong hunting instinct. They can sense the presence of humans hundreds of kilometers away. And, most importantly, I can turn anyone who drinks my blood into one of these creatures. Of course, in the future, I'll develop other ways to transform humans into these creatures besides having them drink my blood," he said with pride.

"Nagato, it seems you've gained another new ability. I don't care where you got it, but with this creature, we can use them as biological weapons." This creature called a Mindless Titan was a Super Weapon.

"Can this creature not be used at night?" Because she had heard that this creature only needed sunlight, she wondered if it couldn't be used at night.

Hearing Konan ask that question made him smile a little. "Titans will fall asleep at night, like most diurnal creatures. But if I command them not to, they won't."

Seeing that Konan was about to ask another question, he jumped in with an answer. "Titans don't have a concept of age. They are, in a way, immortal. So, the jutsu that was used on this person's body won't do any good."

Konan seemed to understand what kind of enemy ability they were up against. If that was the case, she didn't have to worry about it.

"I'm going to Amegakure with this Titan. And you, Konan, go to that underground chamber you mentioned earlier. I'm betting that whoever killed the daimyo's family couldn't take the daimyo's arbitrary and oppressive behavior anymore. So, this person killed them in a gruesome way. You can see the torture they went through. The person who did this must have a grudge. I think the samurai leader you met is the one who did it. Only the palace's samurai leader would have the power to evacuate the civilians, so go meet him and bring him before me," he said firmly. After saying that, he and his Titan leaped out through the hole made by the Mindless Titan's transformation.

Konan watched this and let out a long sigh.

"If that samurai leader won't surrender, just kill him. See you at the Akatsuki headquarters, Konan!" Nagato yelled from below the palace.

That guy is so bossy…

To be continued...
