Since returning to Ethia, I've realized there are quite a few people who would have preferred if I had never come back to my birthplace... I've been here just over a month, and in that time, and all I’ve managed to do is establish an uneasy relationship with my birth father, anger several powerful people and a major organization, and almost die––twice. Well, I suppose it hasn’t been all bad. I’ve learned quite a lot of about Ethia, including understanding my responsibilities in my new position and developing a renewed resolve to finally embrace it. I’ve also made a few new friends, and become reacquainted with a some old ones too. My trip to the Protectorate College didn’t go as expected, but at least I’m leaving with some people who want to support and help me. That’s more than what I had when I got here. But I can’t help but be concerned about those that are still out there who wish to see me dead. Where did they disappear to? When will my brother strike next? And why did my call to Admiral Vang for help go unanswered?
