Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space

Chapter 442: Sanchou City's Survivor

Noticing the survivors' hesitation, Fu Shenghan said, "I won't force you to follow us if you want to stay. But I hope everyone can stay strong and not give up on life easily. I believe that as long as we stand and work together, we will be able to survive this calamity."

Although the survivors were pessimistic that the Lin'an City Base would share their supplies, they still believed in Fu Shenghan and his team. After hearing his words, no one raised an objection and they followed the team's arrangements.

The stronger ones went to help pack supplies while the weaker ones packed belongings and tents. Under the red moonlight, everyone worked like tireless bees throughout the night.

Early the next morning, thirty heavy-lift military helicopters left the Lin'an City Base and flew toward Sanchou City. Each helicopter was able to carry up to 200 fully equipped troops.

Due to the unknown situation they were facing, Xun Che planned to finish the relocation of the survivors in a single trip.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, the sound of propellers echoed across Sanchou City's sky.

When the survivors hiding in buildings and scattered camps heard this, they ran out of their hiding places and raised their heads. Seeing the fleet, their dull eyes finally regained light.

"That's the military! The government didn't give up on us!" one of the survivors hiding in an office building exclaimed as he waved his hands from the open window.

"We are here! Over here!"

"Save us! We are here!"

The survivors shouted at the top of their lungs, hoping to catch the soldiers' attention so they would come and save them. Unfortunately, no matter how loud their voices were, they were drowned out by the sound of the propellers.

As they watched the military helicopters fly farther and farther away, the light in their eyes dimmed and their shoulders slumped.

Meanwhile, one of the pilots contacted the Lin'an City Base using their satellite communication device. Not long after, Wang He's voice came from the device: "How's the situation in Sanchou City?"

"Sergeant Wang, there are a lot of survivors trapped in the city center and hiding in buildings. The situations in the camps are not optimistic. With their current defenses, they would be annihilated the moment the zombie horde arrives."

Hearing the report, Wang He said, "I will report this to the Vice Commander. For now, make sure to complete the evacuation mission of Fu Shenghan's camp first."

"Understood," the pilot replied before switching the channel to inform the rest of the team members.

Under Wang He's orders, they didn't make any stops and flew directly toward Fu Shenghan's survivor camp. When they arrived, the sun had already risen higher.

The survivors hadn't slept the whole night and had managed to pack up everything. Now, they waited for the people from the Lin'an City Base with hopes and worries mixed in their hearts.

Soon after, they saw the military helicopters land one after another in the open field near their camp.

After shutting off the engines, the soldiers sent by Xun Che came out of the helicopters one after another. Carrying rifles, they stood in a neat formation before a man finally walked to the front.

They didn't go to the camp but waited outside. Ten minutes later, Fu Shenghan and his team walked out of the camp to meet them.

Standing a meter away from the soldiers, Fu Shenghan reached out and said, "Comrade, my name is Fu Shenghan. I'm the leader of this survivor camp. These are my team members."

"Hello, I'm the leader responsible for this mission, Xie Zhou," the man said as he shook Fu Shenghan's hand and introduced himself.

After the brief introduction, he asked, "Are you and your people ready to leave now?"

Fu Shenghan nodded and said, "We can leave anytime."

Nodding, Xie Zhou said, "Each chopper can carry 200 people including their luggage. Your men can follow my soldiers' arrangements and proceed with the evacuation now."

Fu Shenghan nodded again and said, "Okay."

With the cooperation between Fu Shenghan's team and Xie Zhou's soldiers, they finished boarding in two hours. After making sure that nothing and no one was left behind, the military helicopters finally took off and flew back to Lin'an City.

Two hours later, they arrived at the Lin'an City Base. After the engines were turned off and the doors were opened, the guards led the survivors out of the helicopters.

As soon as the survivors stepped onto the ground, their eyes widened in surprise as they looked around the landing area. At this moment, they were standing on the open field of the military barracks of the base.

Standing several meters in front of them, Wang He walked over and asked, "Captain Xie, are these all the survivors from Sanchou City?"

"There are still lots of survivors scattered in Sanchou City. We might need to go back and pick them up," Xie Zhou replied.

Then, he turned to Fu Shenghan and added, "This is Fu Shenghan, the leader of the survivor camp."

Wang He looked at the young man standing beside Xie Zhou, and surprise flashed in his eyes.

He thought that the one who was able to lead more than 5,000 people should be someone with lots of life experience. Unexpectedly, the one leading these people was someone so young.

Reaching out, he said, "Welcome to the Lin'an City Base, Comrade Fu."

Fu Shenghan accepted the handshake and replied, "Thank you for letting us stay here."

After they exchanged greetings and introduced themselves to each other, Wang He said, "We have prepared a residential area for you and your people."

"In the coming days, you can read this booklet to learn about our base's rules and regulations. If you need anything, you can find me at the central ring or ask a soldier to send the message."

Fu Shenghan accepted the booklet with a nod and said, "Thank you, Brother Wang."
