NOVEL NEXT Chapter 4: Trouble at Town
Shiebe was both shocked and somewhat excited. He never had a younger sibling so it was a new experience for him.
A knock from the main door was heard. The maid opened and a familiar voice was heard.
???: Is It True that your pregnant Mrs Zackaria
Liliana: Yes Luni
Luni, now looking a lot older, had arrived. He was 19 now and wouldn't come to visit as often as he used to.
Luni: Looks like your going to be an older brother Shiebe
Shiebe: Yeah, it's certainly going to get interesting around here.
After the celebration Shiebe's mother rested as she needed to be in good care for the baby.
Luni: Hey Shiebe. Wanna go outside to town and see what i've been up to these past years.
Shiebe: Huh? You would really let me go with you.
Luni: Of course
Shiebe never really went out to town. In fact he never had left the house these past 6 years it wasn't exactly easy for him as he never has been to a town in his past life. But he felt that this was his chance to finally explore the outdoor world.
Xeno: Stay Safe out there
Luni & Shiebe: Okay
The two of them headed out to town.
The town was filled with lots of people and stands with merchants selling all types of items.
The building layout was what you would have expect from these types of world
- Damn. There's a lot of people here. I feel like I'm going to faint.-
Luni: Hey you don't seem to be doing so well. Want to hold my hand?
Shiebe: Oh no it's okay
-I may appear to be a 6 year old but i'm still a 15 year old at heart and I don't want to be holding a the hands of someone my age-
They finally stopped in front of a huge build with a sign that said 'Adventurers Guild'
They entered in the building and the first thing they saw was a fight
???: You bastard get your dirty hands off me.
???: Dirty?! What your tone pig
An elf and Orc seemed to be having a conflict between themselves. Others in the guild stared at their direction holding drinks and cheering them on.
"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!"
-If I stop them and beat them both in a fight the others will respect and start chanting my name. That would feel really good. Alright I'm going to do it-
Shiebe: Both of you sto-
The Orc and Elf both dropped to their knees holding their stomach.
Luni: That's enough out of you two
In an instant Luni had defeated the two of them.
-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT. IS THIS GUY SOME SORT OF PRODIGY OR SOMETHING. HE STOLE MY SPOTLIGHT!-
"BOO"
"COME ON LUNI YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST LET THEM FIGHT BEFORE STOPPING It."
Luni: Drunk bastards. This place is a guild's hub not an arena.
Shiebe: Wow Luni. You defeated them like it was nothing.
Luni: Heh. I guess I did.. well I am often told that i'm gifted at the academy.
The focus of attention had changed from the fight to Shiebe now.
"Huh, what's with the kid"
"Luni is he yours. Who's the mother."
Luni: He's Mr.Zackaria's kid. If you don't want any trouble I suggest you treat him with the respect he deserves.
In a moment the atmosphere of the room had changed.
"T-That's Mr. Zackaria's kid."
"O-Oh I'm sorry for my disrespectful tone"
Shiebe: No it's alright
Luni walked to main receptionist. A elf lady wearing a white shirt and tie was arranging piles of paper
???: Seems like you've made quite the introduction haven't you Luni.
Luni: Yeah I guess... So how is the progress going you think I will have my own guild soon.
???: Hmm Your in your final year of the academy right. Come back after you graduate and you will have your own guild ready for you.
Luni: Thanks Lia... Oh and make sure you at least try to keep order in here starting fights will only lead to unwanted trouble.
Lia: That's what makes this place feel lively though.
Luni: Just saying... Let's go Shiebe
Just before they left the building a blood curdling scream could be heard from outside.
The two of them and others in the guild headed outside to see what was going on.
-What the hell!-
A man stood there carrying what seemed to be the head of an orc.
The cold body of the orc laid next to the man with blood pouring out from his decapitated head.
Luni: W-What the hell.
The man smiled as he lifted up the orcs head towards the sky.
???: TODAY IS A NEW DAY TO BE REBORN. TODAY A GOD HAS BEEN REBORN. REJOICE AS WE ENTER A NEW ERA OF REBIRTH. NO MORE RACISM. NO MORE WARS. WE SHALL LIVE IN PEACE UNDER THIS GOD.
No one dared to move. Not even Luni. Something about this man's aura instantly told them that no matter what they did or wanted to do they would die.
His very existence was enough to make someone fall into despair
"HEY YOU STAY RIGHT THERE AND PUT YOUR HANDS RIGHT WHERE I CAN SEE THEM"
The guards had arrived. There were about 20 of them with the main leader commanding the man so stay still. She was young and had an eye patch over one eye.
???: Huh... Who the hell are you guys supposed to be?
Perl: Commander Perl of the 2nd Reina Patrol Guards!
The man let out a laugh before dropping the orcs head on the ground. Then he sighed
???: If we are introducing ourselves then fine. I am one of the leading officers in the council of despair. Felix De Gushed
"Council of despair!"
"Shit!"
The people in the surrounding area started to get more and more agitated until...
"Screw this shit man! I aint fucking dying now."
Felix: Huh.. You want to fight. When we have a new god upon us. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU EVER WANT THAT YOU FOOLISH BEING!
Felix rushed towards the young boy holding by the neck and lifting him up towards the air. The guards followed after him with all of them unleashing their syreums.
A thick black smoke followed after covering the entire area. In the midst of the chaos Luni knew it was time to flee. He grabbed Shiebe's hand and tried to find a way to escape. Everyone else had the same idea.
Shiebe's house wasn't far from here. They could make it. They just had to...
*BOOM*
Shiebe&Luni: --ARGH
An ear shattering explosion was heard from behind.
Luni: Shiebe lets g-
In front of them masked figures appeared. They all had the same logo imprinted on their mask.
???: We are the council of despair. Everyone in this village will be our test subjects. Come quietly and we won't have to f-
His head flew right off his body,.
Luni: Who the hell do you think I am. You bastard can go rot in hell!
Shiebe had never seen Luni this angry before. The rage and malice in his eyes showed that he really does have a past with the council of despair.
-That move. It's the one from the guild. He's syreum allows him to move at an incredible speed... Seems like the others are busy dealing with Luni. I could probably take one out.-
He slowly stretched out his hand but was stopped halfway by someone else.
???: You're coming with my little boy.
The girl flicked his head knocking him unconscious.
Luni: Shiebe?!
Luni was thrown off guard and was kicked in the stomach as a result. The same girl flicked his head causing him to fall unconscious as well.
???: Looks like were done here. Most of the people here have already been captured.
???: The lord of destruction. The user of syreum x have they really been reborn.
???: Yeah and it's not just them.. Y and Z are also alive. We don't have long until the Time of the end. So we got to inflict this world with despair and create an army strong enough to defeat them.
???: Yeah, Yeah I know lets them get these two in the carriage.
