Chapter 25: The Chunin Exams! Part 2
Hey guys, sorry about the wait. Quick recap before you get back into the story. Yuno was reborn into the Naruto World after dying of old age in his old world. His mom is really strong and one of the last members of a wind based clan that used to be on par with the Senju and Uchiha. Yuno became known as Seishin Hoshizora and befriended Itachi when he was the only person to show up at his birthday. Seishin's mom adopted Naruto after deceiving Danzo into believing she's going to raise him to be a loyal soldier. They went to the academy together and graduated at the same time.
They came across "Madara Uchiha" when escorting the Daimyo and they all nearly died. Seishin awakened his elf form which is a known Kekkei Genkai of the Hoshizora clan in this world. Seishin trained really hard and did a bunch of missions with his team. Seishin's mom, Haruki, is the assistant to the Hokage and basically does all his paperwork. They did good and were recruited into the Anbu, they trained to become the Hokage's personal guards and carry out his personal orders. Seishin and his team finished their Anbu training and became Anbu. Seishin was involved in cracking down on Orochimaru's experiments, he managed to slip passed them and make it out of the land of fire after a long chase. The Uchiha massacre happened, Seishin captured Danzo after following Shisui to protect him. Shisui fought with Fugaku instead and lost because he lost the element of surprise. The scene with him committing suicide in front of Itachi still happened the same way. Itachi still massacred the clan with "Madara's" help. Danzo was imprisoned and interrogated. Jiraya was called back to the village and removed the seals on all the Root ninja.
Seishin went on a mission to deal with the loose end that is Orochimaru. He transformed into a homeless man and used his Star Kekkei Genkai as bait and was kidnapped by Orochimaru's people. He kept up the act for a while to find out where sensitive information was being held. He staged a riot and used the chaos to slip out. Orochimaru though, managed to surprise him at the gate. Seishin ran away, prioritizing the mission over a drawn out fight with Orochimaru. Naruto and Sasuke trained under Seishin for a while and he told them about their origins and the secrets that have been kept from them. Seishin sent Sasuke to a hidden library that gave him access to knowledge not publicly available to outsiders. The graduation exam from the academy happens as well as the survival training that Kakashi puts team 7 through.
Seishin's mom told him that their clan has a contract with winds spirits. He goes to his basement and see's the scroll. It looks that same as the one he found in the dungeon in his past life. He writes his name in blood on the scroll and is transported to a meadow. I copied the birth of the spirits in this story from the birth of tinker bell, except all fairies are elemental spirits. The land of waves arc happens and now were in the chunin exams arc.
Enjoy!

Naruto POV
We all walked inside the room and were immediately assaulted with the stares of everyone in the room. Sasuke and I smiled confidently and shrugged it off while Sakura looked a little worried. All of a sudden Ino jumped onto Sasuke and gave him a hug, Sakura and Ino continued to do their little routine of fighting over Sasuke. Choji and Shikamaru soon followed after Ino. Following Team Ten was Team Eight with Hinata, Kiba, and Shino. As all the rookie nine were chatting, a voice suddenly interrupted them.
"This isn't a field trip, you know." An older kid with white hair and a purple outfit said.
"Who the hell are you?" Ino asked.
"Name's Kabuto, and you kids need to open your eyes." Kabuto said as he gestured behind them with his head.
"Why?" Sakura asked as she and the rest of the group turned around.
As they turned around they finally noticed the angry glares of some of the teams.
"Watch out for the group behind you. They're from the village Hidden in the Rain, and they've got very short fuses. Everyone's on edge waiting to take the exam. I wanted to give you guys a heads-up before someone snaps and beats the crap out of you." Kabuto said.
Sasuke scoffed and said, "Please, these losers can't do anything to me."
"Sigh, I remember when I was like that. Like all rookies, you think you already know everything." Kabuto responded.
"Kabuto? Are you saying this is the second time you applied?" Sakura asked.
"No. Seventh. Twice a year for… hm, going on four years now." Kabuto said.
"Wow, then you've got a lot of experience with what we can expect!" Sakura said.
"I guess so." He responded.
"All right! Do you mind sharing what you've learned over the years to your juniors?" I asked.
"Cute, okay… the least I can do is give you sweet little babies some vital intelligence on what you're in for, with these shinobi skill cards." He said as he pulled out a deck of cards from his pouch.
"I've got to inject my chakra into the cards for them to show any information, otherwise they'll just be blank. For example, this card shows how many applicants each shinobi nation is sending to this Chunin exams." Kabuto said, the more he spoke the more suspicious of him I became. I glanced at Sasuke and Shikamaru then looked back at Kabuto and asked a question to confirm my suspicions.
"Do you have cards for each individual applicant?" I asked.
"Why, someone here you have a particular interest in?" Kabuto asked.
"Hmm… Yeah, Gaara of the Sand." I said.
"And Rock Lee. from Konoha." Sasuke added.
"Oh, you know their names? You're making it too easy for me." Kabuto said.
"Let's see then." I said.
"First up is Rock Lee. He's a year older than you guys. He's done 20 D-Rank, and 11 C-Rank missions. His team's mentor is Might Gai. His Taijutsu skills have grown exponentially this past year. Other than that, he has no talents worth mentioning. He was considered a standout among last year's Genin but he didn't apply for the Chunin exams. He's a first timer like you guys. His teammates are Neji Hyuga and Tenten."
This guy is sketchy as hell, if he has half as detailed information about Gaara then I'll have to report him as a spy. There's no way a genin who's on his seventh go at the Chunin exams can have access to information like this.
"Next is Gaara of the Sand. Eight C-Ranked missions and one B, wow! Not many rookie shinobi get B-Rank missions. Since he's way out in the desert, I have less on him… but it's interesting. He's come back from every mission completely unscathed. This year, every hidden village has sent outstanding Genin here to compete. I don't know much about the village Hidden in Sound, it's part of a new, small nation, so intelligence on it is lacking. But every other competing village is well-respected, home to some formidably powerful shinobi." Kabuto said.
"Anybody besides me suddenly feeling kind of outclassed?" Hinata asked.
"So what you're saying is that everyone here…" I said with my head down, shaking.
"Oh, yeah. They're all like Lee and Gaara. Elite, hand-picked shinobi, the best young ninja in the world. They have to be, the test is brutal."
Kakashi POV
Outside the room, Kakashi was standing, thinking back to what happened after Iruka spoke.
"It's a harsh and unforgiving test, Kakashi! You're rushing them into it!" Gai said.
"Iruka is right! My kids are the best, but I still gave them a year to mature before letting them apply. Give your team some time to build some strength."
"Heh, I think I know my team better than all of you. What they lack in experience, they more than make up for in surprises Gai, Your team will eat their dust." Kakashi said.
"Bah!" Gai exclaimed, slightly taken aback by the harshness of Kakashi.
"Enough of this. Now, I'll consider the recommendations for Genin Candidates who have passed a year on the job." The Hokage said.
Even if those three are fearless, they must still be uneasy wondering what comes next.
Sakura POV
I looked over at Naruto and saw him shaking, 'looks like even Naruto is a little scared, Maybe I should give him a little pep talk.' I thought.
"It's all right, Naruto. Nothing to worry about-"
Naruto POV
"My Name Is Naruto Uzumaki!! And None Of You Are Gonna Beat Me!!!! You Got That?!" I said as I pointed towards everyone in the room.
"What's his problem?!" I heard Ino ask Sakura.
"Hahaha, yeah! That Felt Great!" I said.
"Oh, please." Sasuke scoffed.
Third Person POV
Naruto got dirty glares from most people in the room.
'Didn't we meet him earlier?' Kankuro thought.
He stood behind Gaara, who was just staring at Naruto with no emotion visible at all.
"Kid's got some life in him. It looks like you went a little too easy on his buddy, Lee." Tenten said.
"So according to four eyes, our town is an unknown little village in a backwater country. Mortifying, isn't it? Want to have some fun with them?" One of the ninja from the village Hidden in Sound said.
"Sounds good! That twit, treat the Sound like some kind of afterthought. Let's give him a little data for those cards of his, we'll see where his intelligence is lacking."
They suddenly started to weave through the crowd, staying hidden until the last second when a boy with spiky hair jumped above the crowd and threw kunai at Kabuto.
Kabuto, having noticed them the second they started moving, easily dodged the kunai. But the other member from the sound was already in front of Kabuto -with bandages covering his entire head and face except for his eyes- and swung at him.
Kabuto jerked his head back to narrowly avoid the punch, but all of a sudden his glasses broke. Then, just as he took them off, he fell to the floor and started to puke. Everyone in the room was surprised and interested in what happened.
Naruto already had theories on what happened based on the name of the village the shinobi came from.
Just as the room was starting to get rowdy a loud voice was heard at the front of the classroom. A cloud of smoke erupted at the front and once it cleared, multiple shinobi were standing there. They all wore matching gray uniforms and one person in the front of all the Shinobi stood out with his black trench coat and scarred face.
"Everyone, Shut Up!" He said.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting. My name is Ibiki Morino. I'm the proctor and chief examiner for the first part of the exam." Ibiki said with an extremely intimidating aura surround him that scared all those sitting in the front row.
"You three kids in the back from the Sound, no fighting is allowed at any time during the exam. Sit down or get disqualified." Ibiki warned.
"Sorry sir, it's our first exam, and we got a little carried away." The kid with the bandaged face said.
"Is that so? Very well, let me set some ground rules. From this point forward, there will be no more fighting without the express permission of the examining officer. And even if that permission is granted, anything that endangers another applicant's life is strictly forbidden. Any of you little piglets who break that rule are out. Disqualified. No second chances. Got that?" Ibiki said.
"The first part of the exam is about to begin, turn in your written applications and take one of these seating assignment cards and sit down on your assigned seat. When everyone is seated, we'll pass out the written part of the test." Ibiki said.
"Papers down until I give the signal. Now listen up. There are a few big rules that pertain to this first test. I'm only going to say this once so listen up.
Rule number one! Each one of you starts out with ten points. For each question you get wrong, you lose a point.
Rule number two: This written test is still a team event, passing or failing will be determined by the sum points of all three members in each team.
Rule number three: If, during the course of the exam, a proctor determines that a candidate has cheated, we subtract two points from each member of the cheaters team." Ibiki said.
One of the proctors sitting to the side said, "I'll be looking over your shoulders when you least expect it." With a smile on his face, almost mocking the candidates.
"If you let the proctors catch you cheating, you'll bring yourself and your friends down!" Ibiki said.
'Get a hold of yourself Sakura, Naruto should be able to do pretty well, he got fourth in the written part of the graduation exam. So long as the questions are not too hard, we should all be able to do pretty well.' Sakura thought, extremely nervous about the whole exam.
"One more thing, if any individual loses all ten of their points, that person's entire team, regardless of how the other two members do, will be disqualified!" Ibiki said.
'Oh~ no~, that does not bode well for me… It's fine, it's fine, there's nothing to worry about. We got this.' Sakura thought, reassuring herself to keep from turning into a nervous mess.
'Easy,' Naruto thought.
"You have one hour, starting… now!" Ibiki said.
The sound of paper flipping was heard throughout the room and muttering was heard all throughout once people read the questions.
'Hehe… I don't know how to answer a single one of these questions.' Naruto and Sasuke thought.
Sakura on the other hand looked concerned about her other teammates as she didn't have much trouble with answering the questions on her own.
'Wait a minute,' Sasuke remembered what the proctor said. 'This is an intelligence test, just not in an academic sense. They're testing our information gathering skills, they want us to cheat like shinobi.'
'Welp, I'm screwed. My sensing skills aren't precise enough to cheat off of the other students, I might as well just take it easy.' Naruto thought. He then leaned back and dozed off as all the other students started to cheat. Tenten adjusted mirrors hidden next to the light fixtures, lee put his headband on his forehead, Neji used his Byakugan. Kankuru went to the bathroom and Gaara used his third eye. Sasuke used his Sharingan, Ino used her mind possession Jutsu and multiple students and their teams got kicked out.
Somewhere else, in a lounge area, Kakashi, Asuma and Kurenai were talking.
"With our teams tied up in the exams, we've got time on our hands. We can't even go on training missions without them." Kakashi said.
"Don't worry. We'll be busy again before you know it." Asuma said.
"Why?" Kakashi asked.
"Word is, this year's first chief examination officer is Morino Ibiki." Asuma said.
"That sadist? Why did it have to be him?" Kakashi said, 'Will they make it past the first exam?' He thought.
"What, why are you so concerned? Who is he?" Kurenai said.
"Kurenai, you're still new so you don't know but he's a pro. A pro's pro." Asuma said.
"A pro? At what?" Kurenai asked.
"Torture and interrogation." Asuma replied.
"While there may be no physical torture in the exam that underway. But there's no doubt that the applicants are being subjected to the psychological pressures that make him infamous as an interrogator." Asuma said.
Back in the exam, the time for the tenth question arrived.
"All right, time for the tenth question. But before we get to the question, I'm adding one more new rule. Let me explain, this rule is absolute. First, you must choose whether to accept or reject this tenth question. If you reject the question and don't even try to answer it, you'll lose all your points immediately and fail! And both of your teammates will fail right along with you." Ibiki said.
"Say what!" Someone yelled.
"Then why would anyone choose to reject it?" Someone else exclaimed.
"Because of the other rule. If you try to answer the question and get it wrong. You will never be permitted to apply for the Chunin exams ever again!" Ibiki said.
"You can't be serious. That's ridiculous! There are ninja here who've done the Chunin exams more than once!" Kiba screamed out in nervous anger.
"Heh heh. Just your rotten lick. I wasn't making the rules in the past. I am now. You can take a failing grade now and try again later. Anyone who has doubts would be smart to reject the tenth question right now and reapply next year. Those who choose not to accept should raise their hand." Ibiki said.
'This is a way for them to test how well we do under pressure.' Naruto thought.
Back in the lounge.
"That Ibiki understands the human heart completely. It's what makes him so terrible. He uses his insights to manipulate his foes. Bringing their human weaknesses to the surface and using those weaknesses to make them crack. Trickery is no defense against his skills as an interrogator." Asuma said.
'This guy… how dumb does he think I am?' Naruto thought, clenching his fists and shaking in anger.
Sakura saw Naruto shaking and misinterpreted his anger for fear. She remembered that Naruto wanted to be the Hokage and thought that it would be best to wait for another opportunity to take the Chunin exams so that Naruto doesn't lose his chance at accomplishing his dream. She was about to raise her hand when Naruto beat her to it. He then slammed his hand onto the table and exclaimed. "Enough with your games! Don't underestimate me!!! I don't quit, and I won't run! I'll accept your stupid question!! Even if I end up a genin for the rest of my life, I'll become the Hokage one way or another. I'm not afraid of you!!"
"I'll ask you one last time. This is a decision that could affect the rest of your life. Quit now, while you still have the chance." Ibiki said.
"Don't question my intelligence, I never go back on my word anyway. That's my ninja way!" Naruto said with a smile.
'Seventy-eight of them are still here. Interesting kid, he dispelled everyone else's doubts. There's more than I expected, but there's no point in dragging it out. Thanks to him, no one else will quit.' Ibiki thought.
"Alright, everyone who's still here… you've just passed the first exam!"
"What!!!" Everyone exclaimed.
"What about the tenth question?" Sakura asked.
"There is no tenth question, beyond the whole accept or reject thing." Ibiki said with a smile.
"Hey! Then why did we have to suffer through the other nine questions. That was a total waste of time!" Temari said in anger.
"There was no waste. Those questions had a purpose, which they've already served." Ibiki said.
"Such as?" Temari asked.
"Our goal was to test your skills at spying." Ibiki said.
'He seems like a completely different person.' Temari thought.
"Remember the rules at the beginning? You pass or fail as part of a three-man cell. With that rule, I pressured you with the fear that anything you did wrong, would bring your teammates down with you." Ibiki said.
"Oh. I get it." Naruto said, he turned and looked towards Hinata and said. "You know, I kinda figured that was it."
Hinata just blushed and said in a low voice, "I always believed in you, Naruto-kun."
"That's really sweet, thanks Hinata." Naruto said in a low voice.
Sakura looked over at Naruto and saw him talking with a blushing and giggling Hinata. 'When did Naruto and Hinata get so close?' She thought.
"However, some of the questions are beyond the level that Genin are expected to handle. And most of you, having reached the same conclusion, had only one way to retain your points. To cheat. And to ensure there would be suitable targets for you to cheat from, we snuck in a pair of Chunin ninja who already knew all the answers."
"It was pretty obvious, they were the only two to start writing right away." Naruto whispered to Hinata with a smile on his face. Hinata giggled in response.
"Of course, anyone who cheated in a clumsy or obvious way, failed. Because there may be circumstances where being caught in an act of espionage can cost you more than just your life. You pay in ways that can be taken from you little by little, time and time again, when many lives hang in the balance." Ibiki said as he took off his headband and revealed the scars and puncture marks left from torture that he was subjected to.
Multiple emotions were displayed among the Genin ninja, some of which were nervousness, fear, and pity.
'Cool, I bet his hands are even worse! But that's what he gets for being dumb enough to get captured. It'll never happen to me!' Dosu Kinuta from the sound village thought.
Ibiki then went on to explain that the first nine questions were a test of the Genin's espionage skills and the tenth question was to see how well the Genin could take chances and risks instead of just going with the easy way out.
The people left in the room started to celebrate when, all of a sudden, someone jumped through the window, breaking it. Flipped in the air and threw two kunai tied to a cloth to opposite sides of the room. The cloth opened up to reveal a sign that wrote, "Newly arrived second chief command officer" with a woman with purple hair standing in front of it.
"None of you are in any position to celebrate. I am the second chief examination officer, Anko Mitarashi!! Time's a-wastin', people. Let's go!! Follow me!!!" Anko yelled out with an arm in the air. No one moved a muscle and just started as Anko blushed in slight embarrassment.
"Seventy-eight of you are still here?! Ibiki! You passed twenty-six teams?! Obviously you went way too easy on them. This year, we have applicants of exceptional caliber." Ibiki said.
"Yeah, right. I'll cut down the number by half before the next test is done." Anko said.
All the Genin got alarmed when she said that. "Ooh, I get charged up just thinking about it! I'll explain things in detail as soon as we move to our next location, so follow me!"
Some time later, Ibiki was collecting the papers, but once he got to Naruto's he paused as the paper was blank. Then he noticed some writing on the bottom right of the page telling him to flip the paper over.
"Kabuto is a spy, he has access to information impossible for a normal Genin to have." Is what was written on the top of the paper and written underneath was a detailed account of Naruto's interaction with Kabuto. Ibiki gained a serious look and immediately disappeared with the paper to the Hokage's office.
Appearing in front of the Hokage, Ibiki immediately knelt down and said, "Hokage-sama, I have very important news."
"Go on," The Hokage said.
Ibiki then stood up and handed the paper to the Hokage, who upon reading it widened his eyes slightly before taking a puff of his pipe.
"Hmm, I'll handle this. You're dismissed." The Hokage said.
"Very well," Ibiki said and flickered out of the room.
The Hokage took another puff from his pipe and said, "Ken, Nun, Sen."
Once he said that, three Anbu appeared in front of him in a blink. As if they just came into existence in front of the Hokage when he uttered their names.
"I want you three to keep an eye on the examinees in the forest of death. I don't want any unnecessary deaths on our hands because of a spy." The Hokage said.
"Yes sir." They all said in unison and disappeared once again.
'That movement technique of theirs is something else, reminds me a little of you. Minato…' The Hokage said as he looked at the picture of Minato on the wall.
Meanwhile, back at the Chunin exams.
"This is the arena for the second exam: Training ground 44. Also known as The Forest of Death!!" Anko said to the Genin who all had varying expressions on their face, mainly fear.
"Sign these consent forms and hand them over to the people in the booth over there. They'll take the forms and give you one of these, half the teams here will receive a Heaven scroll and the other half will receive an Earth scroll. The objective is to get to the center tower in the middle of the forest within five days with both the Heaven and Earth scroll. Whatever you have to do to make that happen is fair game. No rules, have fun~." Anko said with a smile on her face, enjoying the scared looks of the Genin.
All the Genin went to their designated gates around the forest of death and entered. It didn't take long for some teams to fail. Whether it be due to the environment or because of fights.
"Damn, I gotta go take a leak." Naruto said.
"Go out into the bushes, nobody wants to see that." Sakura said.
"Fine," Naruto responded and walked out of sight to take a leak. Just as he was about to go, a rain shinobi appeared with a kunai to his neck.
"You know, you shouldn't really bother with sneaking up on people," Naruto said.
"Why's that?" The rain shinobi asked.
"Cause you're not very good at it." A Naruto clone said from behind the rain shinobi.
The rain shinobi got alarmed, but before he could do anything he was knocked out.
A few minutes later Naruto walked back to his team whilst dragging the ninja behind him. Once he arrived, he said. "Caught this guy peeping on me while I was trying to take a piss, he's not very good at hiding haha."
"What are we supposed to do now?" Sakura asked, a little scared.
"Sasuke, put a Genjutsu on him and a tracker and set him free. He doesn't have the scroll on him anyway. I checked." Naruto said.
"Fine," Sasuke said, but he didn't object because it was a solid plan.
Once the ninja was gone Sasuke gathered the team around and said, "I think we should have a password so that no one can pretend to be us." Sasuke said while communicating in sign language. He said, 'the password is pineapple milkshake' in sign language but verbally he said. "The password is, we thrive in the chaos of the enemy tide. Quiet shinobi don't need dens to hide. Our only concern is to watch and wait, until the enemy lowers the gate." Sasuke said.
"Got it," Sakura said.
"That's ridiculous, did you just come up with that right now? You're so pretentious." Naruto said.
"Shut up, loser." Sasuke said.
"Yeah, shut up Naruto." Sakura said.
A strong blast of wind blew past the team and caught Naruto off guard. Naruto got blown back by the wind and crashed into a tree a fair distance away. He quickly got up and tried to get back to the team but stopped due to a giant snake standing in his way.
Back with Sasuke and Sakura.
"Sasuke!" Sakura exclaimed.
"Stop! What's the password?" Sasuke asked.
"Oh right! We thrive in the chaos of the enemy tide. Quiet shinobi don't need dens to hide. Our only concern is to watch and wait, until the enemy lowers the gate." Sakura said while quickly signing, "Pineapple milkshake."
"Good," Sasuke said.
Then Naruto appeared and said the password as well but did not sign anything, Sasuke smirked and threw a kunai at him which he dodged.
"Hey!" Naruto exclaimed. "What's the matter with you?"
"Secret password within a secret password, you didn't notice the second password we put in."
"Well done!" Naruto said and with a puff of smoke, he revealed himself as a ninja from the hidden grass.
"I suppose you'd like to steal our Earth scroll, since you've already got a Heaven scroll." The grass ninja said. He then took the scroll, wrapped his tongue around it and swallowed it hole.
"Now, time to see who'll come out the other side. With a fight to the death!"
A Genjutsu was cast on both Sasuke and Sakura but only Sasuke came out relatively unscathed with some shaking. Sakura on the other hand was a shaking and crying mess after being subjected to the grass ninja's Genjutsu. The grass ninja threw two kunai at Sakura, Sasuke turned on his Sharingan and grabbed Sakura and ran away to hide.
'Amazing! The boy already has a three tomoe Sharingan and can walk off that level of Genjutsu with relative ease. Just as I thought, he's special.'
Meanwhile, Naruto simply cut off the head of the snake and ran to look for his team.
Sasuke covered Sakura's mouth and kept a lookout for the enemy with his Sharingan open. A snake approached them from the side and was about to attack but they jumped away before the attack could land. The snake dashed at Sasuke but he threw a few kunai at it to stop its charge. The snake died and from the inside, the grass ninja rose up. Like a snake, he coiled around a tree branch as he approached Sasuke. But a bunch of Shuriken flew and landed in his way.
"Sorry, I forgot the password." Naruto said with a grin.
"Naruto!" Sakura exclaimed, happy to see her other teammate all right.
"Heh heh, well done on your stunning defeat of the giant snake, Naruto." The grass ninja said.
"Eh, it was just a snake. One bonk on the head was all it took." Naruto said nonchalantly.
"Heh heh heh, interesting." The Grass Ninja said.
Naruto body flickered behind the Grass Ninja and kicked him in the back of the head. The grass Ninja flew towards Sasuke. With his Sharingan on, he performed hand signs quickly and lighting crackled around his hand. He moved at lightning speed towards the Grass Ninja and thrust his hand into his chest. The ninja had a shocked expression on his face.
Sasuke had a smirk on his face, "I gotcha, it's over."
The ninja suddenly started to laugh, turned to mud and melted into a puddle. Naruto appeared next to Sasuke and looked around. They both spotted the ninja come out of a tree branch across from them.
"You know, I was going to try and make you realize resistance against me is futile. But why bargain, when I can just kill you and take the scroll." An intense killing intent much heavier than before was released from the ninja. The air became heavy and felt like honey.
Naruto and Sasuke were frozen in fear. This killing intent was ten times stronger than anything Seishin ever subjected them to. Sakura was instantly knocked out the second the killing intent was released.
Naruto, thinking on his feet, quickly pulled out an explosive kunai and threw it into the air, it exploded when it flew above the tree line.
'Now we just have to stall for reinforcements.' Naruto thought and nodded at Sasuke.
He looked within and found the feeling he was looking for. A massive surge of chakra was released from Naruto and Sasuke activated his Sharingan. They both attacked at the same time, they were in sync. They did not give any room for the ninja to breath and kept up the pace for ten minutes until reinforcements arrived.
Seishin appeared out of thin air. He was acting as an Anbu and noticed the irregularity in the forest. He approached and noticed the massive battle happening. He instantly recognized the ninja as Orochimaru from his snake-like movements and stepped in to give his brothers some rest.
"You two take your teammate and get out of here. Given your ability to hold off the assault of one of the Sannin for so long I have no doubt that the Hokage will allow your team to pass." Seishin said.
Seishin then turned back around to face Orochimaru. "Well, well, well. Fancy seeing you here." he said. "Long time no see."
"Hehe, indeed it has." Orochimaru replied.
"I hope you don't run away. Seishin said.
Orochimaru just smiled and said, "Like you did last time?"
"Let's see if you'll still be feeling smug after you lose." After saying his piece, Seishin attacked.
Within minutes the part of the forest they were in was completely leveled.
Seishin was standing in the middle of the battleground and Orochimaru was nowhere to be found.
"Damn it!!!" Seishin yelled and punched a tree. The tree cracked and broke from the force of the punch.
"Hah hah, hoo…" Panting for a bit, Seishin took a breather and calmed down.
"That slippery son of bitch." Seishin cursed. A ninja then appeared behind him. The person in charge of the exam, Anko.
"Speed up the exam, Make sure everyone is at the center building by the end of the day. We need to deal with this mess and I don't want our ninja distracted by this exam." Seishin said.
"Yes sir." Anko said and sped off to accomplish this order.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Seishin whispered.
