Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Chapter 442: Fiery Lotus of Demonic Fury

Right hand blazing with demonic flame, left hand wrapped in Vermilion Flame!

The two fierce flames danced and seethed, the air around them distorting and wavering from the intense heat. All eyes turned to Lin Langtian, astonished by the sight of such powerful flames manifesting simultaneously in his hands.

"What terrifying flames... Is he really using them both at once?"

"It's the Vermilion Heavenfire and the Chaotic Devil Flame, two ancient and famous flames!" someone exclaimed in shock.

"Is he planning to counter the Blood Puppet with fire? Can that even work?"

Whispers filled the square, some voices in doubt, others questioning if Lin Langtian could truly handle the power of the flames with his near-Perfect Life Xuan stage strength. After all, even a true Death Xuan master would take the Blood Puppet's attack very seriously.

Lanyan, observing Lin Langtian's hands, felt her heart race. "Two ancient flames? He must be from the Flame God Hall in the Sea of Demons, not the Yuan Sect of the Eastern Xuan Region!" she muttered, awe-struck. "But... can these flames really stand up to that Blood Puppet?"

Despite the uncertainty, Lin Langtian's expression remained calm, his gaze fixed intensely on the two flames. They flickered, drawing closer together in his hands.

"Now, let me show everyone what true destruction looks like," he whispered, watching as the black and red flames approached each other.

The disciples and elders of Firecloud Sect watched nervously, feeling an instinctive unease as they looked at Lin Langtian. Even Tang Lie, a powerful Death Xuan master, sensed the building danger, his eyes narrowing with dread.

"What is he trying to do?" Tang Lie shouted, but his words were cut short as Zhong Kui suddenly appeared behind him, a powerful punch landing before Tang Lie could react.

With a grunt, Tang Lie staggered back, blood splattering from his mouth as his face went pale.

Zhong Kui, too, felt the weight of Lin Langtian's energy, and he murmured, "Combining flames, huh? A bold one indeed... The master found Lady Qingtan a skilled Shadow Guard."

Oblivious to the chatter around him, Lin Langtian remained focused, his eyes dark as he watched the two flames. As they inched closer, the space between his hands twisted and shimmered, rumbling like muffled thunder.

Nearby, Qingtan had just dispatched the last two Firecloud Sect elders when she turned, surprised by the sight of Lin Langtian merging the two flames. The sheer power was unmistakable, and she felt both shock and admiration as she whispered, "Combining flames... Brother Langtian…"

The air trembled with tension, waves of energy rippling out from him, cracking the stone ground. Sensing the threat, the Blood Puppet roared, and with a violent swing, brought its massive blood-red spear crashing down, trying to end Lin Langtian before he could strike.

"Your last roar in this world," Lin Langtian muttered, a cold smile on his lips. His fingers moved deftly, infusing threads of golden energy from his Spirit Wheel Mirror into the flame. The merging flames suddenly stilled, shrinking and solidifying into a palm-sized lotus of black and red.

The dark, fiery lotus complete, Lin Langtian's face turned pale, but his eyes sharpened with a ruthless light. Almost instinctively, he launched the fiery lotus toward the Blood Puppet's spear with a powerful swing.

"Demonic Fiery Lotus!" he called, releasing the fireball. It drifted through the air almost silently, leaving only a faint trail of smoke, yet everyone watching felt a chill of dread.

The stillness shattered.

BOOM!

A colossal explosion tore through the sky, the black and red lotus detonating on impact with the blood spear. In that instant, the lotus rapidly expanded and contracted, before unleashing an all-consuming blaze.

BANG!

The destructive energy radiated outward, waves of force rippling through the air. Buildings in the distance shattered under the force, collapsing like they'd been struck by a natural disaster.

Black and red flames burst across the sky, unfurling like a fiery wave. In mere moments, the temperature in the entire realm spiked dramatically, the sheer force of the explosion rippling through every corner of Firecloud Sect.

Inside Firecloud Sect, countless people stared blankly at the terrifying wave of fire rippling through the sky. Despite being hundreds of meters away, the scorching heat still made them sweat profusely.

The entire sect fell silent. Every person swallowed hard, feeling a deep shiver spread from within. If that fire wave had been any closer, the entire sect would likely have been reduced to ashes by now.

"What incredible destructive power…" they thought, trembling in awe.

The blue sky above rippled as black and red flames spread out from the explosion's center, delivering devastation to anything in range. Finally, after reaching over a thousand feet, the flames gradually dissipated.

"Who won?"

Everyone's gaze remained fixed on the chaos, hearts racing—especially the members of Firecloud Sect and the Judge Army, their eyes wide with suspense. Even Tang Lie and Zhong Kui, locked in combat overhead, paused to look at the battlefield, their fists clenched tightly.

The silence that gripped the sect was soon broken by a faint cracking sound.

Everyone's eyes sharpened, and there, slowly appearing from the smoky haze, was the enormous blood-red spear.

Seeing the spear still intact, the Firecloud Sect members began to feel a spark of hope, only to be horrified as cracks began to appear along its length.

"The Blood Puppet's 'Blood Demon Spear' is breaking!" someone cried out in shock.

"The Blood Puppet is defeated!" another voice shouted.

Turning back to the battlefield, everyone could see that the brutal Blood Puppet, having borne the brunt of the explosion, was in tatters. Its entire body was half-destroyed, its once bright crimson eyes now dim and lifeless, like a machine without power, devoid of the raging blood aura it had once emitted.

A gentle breeze swept through the mountains, carrying away the oppressive atmosphere. Yet as everyone's gaze fell on the lone, slender figure in black standing amidst the rubble, their hearts clenched tightly.

A Life Profound Cultivator defeating a half-step Death Profound opponent—it was a feat so shocking it left everyone speechless.

Many exchanged glances, deeply shaken. Lin Langtian's name was already known, but no one had expected him to be this formidable. Such a victory would make him even more renowned. To defeat a half-step Death Profound foe proved he was ready to join the highest ranks on the continent.

"This can't be… There's no way! How could someone in the late Life Profound stage defeat the Blood Puppet?" Tang Lie stammered in disbelief. Without the Blood Puppet, his plan to capture Qingtan had failed, and so had his last hope of saving Firecloud Sect.

"Hmph! This is what happens to those who betray the Dark Hall!" Zhong Kui sneered, his figure flashing like a ghost as he appeared before Tang Lie, wielding a deadly black mace cloaked in dark energy.

Caught off guard, Tang Lie's focus wavered just as Zhong Kui unleashed his pent-up power, swinging the mace down with all his might and slamming it into Tang Lie's chest.

Thud!

Tang Lie's face went ghostly pale as his body arched, spewing blood. His spirit quickly dimmed, his strength depleted.

Zhong Kui's gaze hardened as he struck again, Death Profound power on full display. With a final swing, the mace smashed down on Tang Lie's back.

"Aghhh!"

Tang Lie cried out in agony as his body rocketed downward, crashing into the stone plaza below and leaving a massive crater. At the center, Tang Lie lay unconscious and barely alive.

"Looks like he'll be taken back to the Dark Tribunal for judgment!" Zhong Kui's voice rang out coldly as he gestured for his men to retrieve Tang Lie from the crater. Only by returning the leader of the rebellion to headquarters could they set an example and deter any other would-be traitors.

"Yes, sir!"

A few Judge Guards jumped down, producing a pair of black handcuffs imbued with a special binding seal. They secured Tang Lie and led him out of the crater under close guard.

Seeing their leader captured, the remaining Firecloud Sect elders and disciples were filled with despair. They knew it was over. With both Tang Lie and the Blood Puppet defeated, Firecloud Sect was truly doomed.

Sure enough, spurred by Tang Lie's and Lin Langtian's displays of power, the Judge Army rallied with renewed strength, led by the four flag leaders. In moments, they eliminated the last remnants of Firecloud Sect, leaving none alive.

In particular, Qingtan's performance drew many eyes. Though only a standard Judge Guard, she had managed to take down two Firecloud Sect elders at the early Life Profound level and even slayed an ally of Firecloud Sect, a regional leader from Southriver at the late Life Profound level. Such a feat would make her one of the most remarkable talents within the entire Judge Army.

Meanwhile, as Tang Lie regained some clarity and opened his eyes, he saw the bodies of Firecloud Sect's elders and disciples scattered across the ground. His face turned deathly pale, and regret overwhelmed him. Hearing that he would be taken to the Dark Tribunal next, his pupils widened in terror.

He knew that once he entered the Dark Tribunal, death would become a luxury. Even peak experts of the Wheel Realm feared the tribunal's power.

Watching the scene unfold, the surrounding leaders from other factions felt shaken. This battle had shown them firsthand the terrifying power of the Judge Army.

One battalion alone had utterly destroyed a secondary power like Firecloud Sect. The strength of the entire Judge Army was unimaginable. They had also witnessed the rise of two outstanding talents within the Judge Army…
