Chapter 12: The Unexpected Show
Min-jae sat frozen in the driver's seat, already mentally preparing for what was about to happen. "Okay, stay calm. Just stay calm," he muttered under his breath, barely believing the whirlwind of thoughts rushing through his head. "Her dress is so short, I know exactly what's coming next. Do I look? Do I look away? Am I a gentleman or a perv? Oh God, I'm not ready for this."
As Claire opened the door, Min-jae tried to stay composed. "Don't look, Min-jae. Be a gentleman, turn your head," he told himself, but his mind... well, his mind wasn't on the same page.
And of course, when she stepped out of the car, her dress... well, it did exactly what he feared. It lifted, revealing more than he was prepared to see, but secretly hoped wouldn't happen. "Oh my God... I was right! This is exactly what I hoped wouldn't happen," he said to himself, practically screaming inside.
As Claire stood up, Min-jae was in complete chaos. "This is the worst possible scenario. This moment is testing all my principles. Stay calm, Min-jae. You can't look." But his eyes, well, they just couldn't obey.
"I can't believe this is happening. There should be a law against this level of temptation. Who wears a dress like that?" he muttered, his brain in overload. He was completely lost.
She closed the door and walked toward her apartment, while Min-jae remained frozen in place. "I can't let this slide. If I look away now, I'm done for. There's no way I'm letting this go," he thought, the memory of their last encounter—two years ago—rushing back. "Then I let her walk away. Not this time. I can't make the same mistake again. Not now."
Before he even knew it, Min-jae jumped out of the car and rushed after her. "Something has to happen here. We never finished what we started two years ago. I won't let this chance slip away." He called her for dinner at his place that very same night.
"Why didn't I just ask her out for dinner right away? But what if she thinks I'm doing it just because of her dress? Oh, she probably thinks I'm crazy... No, wait, that doesn't matter... Now's my chance!"
His mind was a whirlwind, but one thing was clear—he knew what he wanted, and he had to act on it.
