Chapter 34: CH: 34 Shane's Resentment
[Chapter: 34 Shane's Resentment]
"Shane, are you okay?" Tessa stood up slowly, holding Shane up.
"I'm fine." Shane looked into William's eyes with a hint of fear. He had been defeated with just a slap from that guy. Was that guy even human?
William walked in front of the two. "You lost."
"I'm willing to accept your condition. I will accompany you for a day, but you won't force me to do anything I don't want to do, and you can't force me into anything like sex," Tessa said, staring at William as she emphasized the last part.
"Rest assured, I am not the type of individual who engages in such activities with someone I have just met and do not know well."
"I don't agree with this, Tessa. You can't go with him," Shane said suddenly.
Tessa looked at Shane. "Do you have any other way? Leave your car here, break your hand, never step foot in a race again, or give him $50,000 and your car."
Shane said helplessly, "Tessa, sorry, it's all because I got too greedy."
"It's okay. I don't blame you. It's just a day with this guy. Rest assured, I won't let him touch me." Tessa stared at William.
"Well, if you do something to Tessa, I will not let you go even if I die," Shane said to William.
William's eyes showed slight disdain. "Are you making threats to me? You can't even protect your own woman. You also need your woman to help you and protect you. Are you even a man, hehe?"
"You!" Shane's eyes flashed with pain and helplessness, but he couldn't refute it.
Tessa didn't speak, just glanced at Shane. A little disappointment flashed in the depths of her eyes. At her age, a girl always desired her boyfriend to be exceptional, to take the lead within the group, and to provide her with protection.
"What? Can't speak? Do you think I'm wrong?" William continued to attack Shane's weakness.
"You." Shane clenched his fists.
William smiled lightly. "If I were you, I would throw everything away without letting my woman suffer even a little grievance, let alone bear humiliation by herself. Because if I did, I would not be a man at all. I feel really sorry for her to be with a guy like you."
"Stop talking," Shane said slowly.
"Does it sting? If you really can't stand it, then..." William shook his head. "If you feel unhappy, I'm right here."
"Go on, hit him!" The people around were agitating him to make a move. They wanted to see more.
"Hit him! How can you tolerate this? Are you really a man? You really disgust us," several women shouted.
"Hey, you girl! Look at this man. What do you see in such a pathetic man? Are you blind, or were you just that desperate to find a man, so you took someone like him as your boyfriend?" Several people mocked Tessa.
Tessa felt her face grow hot from shame. Was her choice really wrong?
"Ah, shut up!" Shane yelled. He couldn't bear it anymore and rushed toward William. "I will defeat you, right here!"
William said with a smile, "Having courage is not enough. You must also have the strength to back it up. Without strength, it is nothing but useless pride."
Shane didn't understand what was happening. He just felt a pain in his neck, and his feet were suddenly off the ground. "What?"
"Don't be surprised. This is the gap between you and me." William's hand wrapped around Shane's neck, lifting him up.
Shane struggled constantly.
"You, let him go!" Tessa cried. "You have already won. There is no need to do this."
William nodded. "Forget it. I should not sully my win because of you." William released Shane's neck.
Shane landed on the ground, covering his neck with both hands, coughing a few times. Breathing hard, he felt a deep fear in his heart for William. He was terrified of him.
"I'm still very kind, so I will let it go this time, but in exchange, you will have to kiss me," William said, pointing at Tessa.
"What?" Tessa froze.
"Damn it! Absolutely not!" Shane yelled.
William pulled Tessa by one hand, blocking her mouth with his own. In front of the public, he kissed Tessa without showing any fear or shame. Tessa was frozen, and she let William kiss her while she also got into it.
Shane looked at the two, so close to each other, and clenched his fists. "Fucker." He had never kissed Tessa, not even held her hand.
"I can't stand this anymore!" Shane shouted, rushing toward William.
William hugged Tessa's body and easily avoided him, continuing to kiss her. Shane went mad and kept rushing toward William, trying to hit him.
"Ooooh, go on!" Everyone around was yelling. It was getting more and more exciting. They wanted to see more.
William let go of Tessa, holding Shane's fist in one hand and pulling it aside. "Go and build your sandcastle, little boy!" William mocked as he punched Shane, who flew out and rolled on the ground.
"Oh, and if you're eager to continue this... you know where to find me," William said, his voice laced with confidence and intrigue. He turned on his heel, his steps deliberate as he began to walk away, glancing over his shoulder with a smirk. "Remember my name—William. Trust me, you won't forget it."
Pausing briefly, he added with a teasing tone, "As for our little date, I'll decide when the time is right. So, stay ready—just in case." His laughter echoed softly as he walked away.
"Handsome guy, don't go! You can look at me. I'm mature!"
"We can play with you, don't you think, girls?"
"Yes!"
"This is the real man. Look at you! What are the balls?" a woman complained to the man next to her.
Tessa finally came to her senses and touched her lips with her hands. Her first kiss was gone, and she didn't know what to do because she might have liked it.
Shane hit the ground with a punch, his hands bleeding. "I won't let you go. I will get back at you for this."
Tessa walked over to Shane. "Shane, this—"
"You don't have to say anything. I'm useless. I can't protect you, and you even got insulted because of me." Shane's expression was full of resentment.
"You can't blame yourself," Tessa said hurriedly, though a hint of blame lingered in her eyes. That bastard just made her feel a kind of excitement. No, how could she feel something like that?
---
After three days.
On a country road in Texas, a small SUV truck dragged an unusually worn truck and stopped in front of a house. The scenery here was still very good.
A man in a hat stood in front and raised his hand. "Go forward."
Tessa stepped out of the house, looked at the truck a little stunned, and said, "Dad, you shouldn't throw money on this broken truck."
"Don't worry. He has only spent my money, which was a total of $150, on this," a man standing nearby said, looking aside a little depressed.
The man in the hat was Cade Yeager, Tessa's dad, the hero of Transformers 4, and a poor scrap inventor.
As for the depressed man, he was Lucas Flannery, a partner and friend of Cade.
At this time, none of them knew that the broken truck in the back would change their fate. The broken truck was the injured Autobot leader, Optimus Prime.
