Chapter 39: Never Offend Your Translator

Roberson then moved his gaze to the main seat, and upon seeing Ireya, his eyes lit up even more.

Rabbit girl! Roberson was not unfamiliar with this concept, but it was his first time seeing a real rabbit girl.

Roberson could barely control his hands, wanting to reach out and tug those long ears, and unlike Tamara, Ireya's youthful aura was even more irresistible to him.

Roberson struggled to suppress the impulse in his heart, and first slightly bowed toward Tamara, "I presume you're the mistress of this castle."

Tamara didn't understand what Roberson was saying and could only respond with a smile.

Miss Rabbit frowned slightly after seeing Roberson's gentlemanly gesture, but he didn't notice; he looked towards Kaden, "What are you standing there for? Translate for me."

So Kaden said to Tamara, "He's greeting you. I think he mistook you for Lady Ireya."

Tamara's expression was a bit odd, "Alright... but I don't have the same majestic presence as Lady Ireya."

"What's she saying?" Roberson asked Kaden.

"She asked who you are."

"Tell her the name is not important; what I'm about to say is because it will bring her immeasurable wealth, and soon she won't be able to live without me. Oh, and ask if her daughter or sister is married."

Kaden cursed inwardly for Roberson not being able to recognize that the people in front of him had different ears and couldn't possibly be related.

However, Kaden's face remained expressionless as she spoke, "Roberson, he wants to discuss with you..."

But her words were interrupted by Miss Rabbit, "Is this Roberson a servant? Why is his greeting different from other servants?"

"He's not a servant," Kaden said, "explaining this might be a bit complicated..."

Kaden was about to continue when footsteps were heard from outside.

Roberson saw an elderly man with silver hair, looking like a noble, come in from outside, respectfully salute the rabbit girl, and then whispered something in her ear.

Roberson felt something strange at this point and asked Kaden, "Who's actually in charge here?"

"Lady Ireya is in charge."

Kaden had just finished speaking when Miss Rabbit also looked her way, simultaneously asking Ying Song, "Are you sure it's him?"

"No mistake, those antlers on his head are very distinctive, but..." Ying Song paused.

"But what?"

"He's from the Double Rest Sect, and seems to have some connection with Prophet Merlin. Wouldn't arresting him upset the Prophet?"

"Of course not," Miss Rabbit said without hesitation, "he's not a servant, and Merlin has said that even if a servant commits a crime, we can arrest them. The Double Rest Sect has its regulations, as does the Empire's law; the two do not conflict."

Ying Song nodded, "I understand."

Then he walked up to Roberson, with a serious expression, "We've received a report that you assaulted the granddaughter of the owner of the Golden Acacia Inn, Frances, who is also a maid at the inn, in accordance with the Empire's law, I am now arresting you."

Roberson didn't understand what Ying Song was saying, but from the latter's expression, it was clear he wasn't friendly, so Roberson panicked a bit and asked Kaden, "What is this old man saying?"

"He says he's going to arrest you."

"Why?" Roberson said in confusion, "I've only been in this world for less than two days, and I've been in the inn for these two days. Why would he arrest me?"

"I don't know, maybe he just doesn't like the look of you," Kaden shrugged, "They are nobles, and you're a noble too; you should know nobles are just a bunch of unreasonable people."

"What the hell are you talking about?!"

Ying Song had already placed his hand on Roberson's shoulder. Roberson wanted to resist, feeling that his new body was quite strong, while the opposite was just an old man.

However, Roberson's punch, landing on Ying Song's armor, felt like scratching an itch; it didn't cause any harm to the opponent, and instead, his knuckles started to hurt.

Then the silver-haired old man reached out, grabbed his arm, twisted it back, and Roberson let out a scream like a slaughtered pig.

He kept cursing under his breath, "You're done for, you're all done for, daring to treat me like this, once my parents come over, none of you will escape."

"What's he saying?" Ireya asked curiously.

"He says when he gets out, he'll kill us all," Kaden said.

Miss Rabbit was amused, "His ambition doesn't look small; fine then, lock him in the dungeon for life."

Ying Song was also a bit angry after hearing Kaden's words; this criminal wasn't just generally arrogant, so he applied more force with his hands.

Roberson felt like his arm was going to be twisted off, tears began to flow from the pain, and he finally stopped being stubborn and began to plead for mercy.

"Quick, let them release me, I won't tell my parents, Merlin, let Merlin come and save me!"

Kaden raised her eyebrows, "I'll do my best to get you out, you must hold on."

Then she spoke in the Continent's Universal Language to Ireya, "He's still not willing to admit to the innkeeper's accusation against him, but don't worry, I can help you interrogate him; I'm sure I can get him to reveal the truth."

"Thank you," the lady said.

"It's my duty."

Roberson was dragged away in his howls of despair and thrown into the dungeon of the guard's unit.

Kaden felt he was more suitable to stay there compared to the inn, and she knew Li Yu thought the same.

The main reason was that this guy was too troublesome, otherwise, considering Roberson's background, Kaden wouldn't mind acting as his babysitter for a while.

Additionally, this story illustrated a truth: a person can offend everyone, but you must never offend your translator.

As for Roberson's parents, they truly were a hassle, but that was a matter for the future, and Kaden had already thought of a follow-up solution.

She planned to use a truth serum and torture to extract all of Roberson's secrets, including how many times he wet his pants as a child, all the women he'd been with, and his preferred positions.

Then Kaden would use this information to recreate Roberson.

After all, Roberson's original body was gone, his powerful parents could only identify their son through these memories.

If Kaden didn't have the mission entrusted by the board, she would have thought of replacing Roberson because his background was so much better than hers.
