Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Power Claw Potion, the Beast God, and the Beast Knights

Five days later, late at night in the Peter Barony castle tower, Su Nan completed the development of the Power Claw Potion, an additional enhancement for the Super Werewolf Serum.

Unlike the Steel Claw Potion, which augmented first-phase werewolves, the Power Claw Potion was specifically designed to tap into the immense strength of super werewolves, unlocking new capabilities. The potion granted a 0.5 strength boost to claw-based attacks, with a cooldown of 5 seconds.

For example, a Super Werewolf Messenger could reach a strength level of 3.0, while a High Super Werewolf could achieve 3.4, and Su Nan himself, as a leader-class werewolf, could unleash 3.5 strength with the Power Claw enhancement.

This innovation significantly increased the potency of super werewolves, complementing their upgraded stats, venomous claws, and raw power.

Su Nan planned to enhance their Fury skill next to fully realize the potential of super werewolves, ensuring that no element of their transformation would go underutilized.

That same night, troubling news reached Su Nan about the Tri-Barony Alliance of Simon, Frank, and Doren. The combined forces of these three baronies had been soundly defeated in battle against the Bulgar tribes.

Baron Frank had been unhorsed by a Bulgar warrior and was now bedridden with partial paralysis, needing at least six months of recovery. Baron Simon had lost an arm in combat. Worst of all, half of Frank's barony had been ravaged, its villages burned, and its people slaughtered. Only the sturdy defenses of their castles prevented further disaster.

As expected, the castles proved to be the linchpins of feudal power, allowing a small force to effectively defend against a numerically superior foe.

Meanwhile, veteran warrior Blom ascended to the castle tower and, with Robert's permission, entered to find Su Nan gazing out over the moonlit landscape.

Blom saluted. "Lord Su Nan, you summoned me?"

Su Nan turned. "The Bulgars have attacked caravans displaying the Peter family crest. They have violated the laws I've established. What do you propose we do?"

Blom immediately drew his knight's sword, knelt, and planted the blade's tip into the ground. "My lord, your wrath is my shame. I will annihilate these cursed Bulgars and their despicable Beast Knights, ensuring they never dare challenge the authority of your crest again."

He hesitated, then added, "But I don't know where to find them."

Su Nan retrieved a glowing golden vial from his potion cabinet—the final Super Werewolf Serum. Tossing it to Blom, he said, "This will elevate you. Tonight is a full moon. The light will guide you."

"I'm granting you command of 20 Werewolf Messengers and Wolf Two, a Super Werewolf Messenger. Under the moonlight, you won't fail to find them."

Blom, ever the loyal soldier, obeyed without question, downing the vial in a single gulp. He immediately began his second transformation, his body contorting as his latent power surged to the surface. His low growls soon escalated into a mighty howl, triggering a magical resonance across the barony's entire wolf pack.

At the southernmost edge of Frank's barony, in a wealthy estate now reduced to smoldering ruins, the Bulgar raiders reveled in their plunder. Mounted on the imposing Horse-Bulls, creatures unique to the Bulgar lands, they exuded an aura of savage dominance.

The Horse-Bulls were massive, muscular beasts, blending the strength of oxen with the speed and agility of horses. These animals stood a third taller than the warhorses of the Storm Kingdom and were regarded by the Bulgars as sacred gifts from the Beast God, crafted through divine intervention.

One particularly brutish Bulgar warrior planted his boot on the chest of a bloodied Storm Kingdom soldier who lay dying on the ground.

"I've always despised you farmers," the Bulgar sneered, leaning down to yell into the soldier's face. "You weaklings hog the best lands, the best crops, and the best women. Everything you have belongs to us—the chosen warriors of the Beast God!"

The soldier coughed up blood. "Baron… Frank… won't… let you…"

The Bulgar laughed maniacally before driving his axe into the soldier's neck, severing his head. "Frank? That coward is holed up in his castle and won't dare show his face. Your hope in him is as pathetic as your god."

Turning to his comrades, he bellowed, "Burn it all! Kill them all! The Beast God has granted us the right to take everything!"

The Bulgars left no survivors, methodically slaughtering anyone who dared to hide. Massacres were an integral part of their culture, cementing their reputation as ruthless conquerors.

Their leader, Toldo, a towering figure and respected Beast Knight, basked in the chaos. Beside him, a squire approached. "Mighty Toldo, the strongest Beast Knight I know. Chief Novak has ordered us to join the clan's attack on Maple Leaf Town tomorrow."

Toldo grinned, his interest piqued.

The squire added, "They say its wealth dwarfs everything we've taken so far. But if we wait until tomorrow, we'll have to share the spoils with the other Beast Knights. Why not raid tonight?"

Toldo's greed outweighed his caution, and he was about to give the order when distant screams shattered the night.

"What's going on?" Toldo demanded, scanning the darkness. Bulgar warriors didn't scream in fear unless something truly terrifying was upon them.

Even the Horse-Bulls grew restless, their unease signaling danger.

---

Far away, Su Nan observed the battle through the Wolf Pack Connection, recording the events in File #14.

The Bulgars' Horse-Bulls were indeed remarkable. Earlier, Su Nan had used Control Wild Wolves on one, only to find it resistant, reacting with anger instead of fear.

"Blom," Su Nan commanded, "it's your turn. Begin the first test—crossbow strikes from the werewolf warriors."

Blom's confident reply echoed

back. "Understood, Lord Su Nan. I won't fail you. These beasts will pay."
