Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 36: Second Rules Integration

With the transaction concluded, the atmosphere in the reception hall instantly relaxed considerably.

The Sand Spirit Emperors were set to seek enlightenment in the Prophet Desert, so there would be no immediate response. Before they provided a reply, Richard had quite a bit of free time.

During this time, Richard just happened to be able to exchange insights about Giant Dragon Alchemy with the Dragon Emperor.

"Alchemy, magic, wizardry, spellcasting—all are products based on rules."

The Dragon Emperor sat on the throne, his tone tinged with a bit of sigh.

"For you, my insights into alchemy already hold no significance. Your understanding of the rules has surpassed mine. From here on out, it's merely a matter of practice."

Everything in this world cannot escape rules; creatures of the Material World have rules of the Material World, and creatures of the Endless Dimension have rules of the Illusionary Dimension.

The rules are akin to source code, no creature can exceed this limitation.

At least, until becoming a Level 9 Life, no creature can exceed this limitation.

"Not entirely," Richard shook his head, "We need tools to use rules, and different tools have their own strengths and weaknesses in different places.

Learning more techniques provides us with more tools, so that when we encounter situations, we have more choices.

Giant Dragon Alchemy comes from the Supreme, a technique with great potential. Learning it is by no means a losing transaction."

"Haha, indeed."

The Dragon Emperor chuckled softly, suddenly changing the subject.

"However, I see, Miracle Wizard, you don't seem to be following the path of the Spirit Evolution Dominator. Are you perhaps walking the path of dual cultivation?"

Richard's powerful bloodline had already exceeded what a Spirit Evolution Dominator should have. The depth of knowledge he exhibited also surpassed that of a typical Physical Evolution Dominator.

This kind of situation was unprecedented among the Dominators the Dragon Emperor had encountered.

"Dual cultivation? Dragon Emperor, you overestimate me." Richard shook his head. "Even one Evolution Road is so profound and extensive that countless Dominators cannot exhaust it.

Let alone two?

The knowledge I possess is merely due to some opportunities.

However... my Evolution Road does indeed require a vast amount of knowledge."

The Titan Body Cultivation Method of the King of Titans, though profound, had not been practically applied, and surely contained numerous issues.

Furthermore, Richard's proposal of fusing the Illusionary Dimension was akin to opening a new branch on this already problematic offshoot.

The enormity of knowledge required for this, even with Richard's knowledge base, was insufficient.

To open this branch, he must seize this opportunity to learn from the precious knowledge of various civilizations.

If he missed this chance, he would no longer be able to easily access these closely guarded secrets of civilizations.

Researching this knowledge on his own would require a massive amount of time.

War is a catalyst for the progress of civilization; this applies to the lower and middle, as well as to the higher, like the Dominators.

"Oh? It seems you are on the path of Intelligent Evolution," the Dragon Emperor said, surprised.

"Intelligent Evolution?" A hint of doubt flashed across Richard's face.

"It's a term I heard from a Dominator of another civilization," the Dragon Emperor explained. "Their categorization of Evolution Road is not by spirit and physique but by intelligent and non-intelligent.

Intelligent Evolution refers to building one's knowledge system primarily through reason, thereby purposefully and directionally promoting one's evolution."

"Oh? And non-intelligent?" Richard asked curiously.

"Non-intelligent is progressing along a fixed path without changing according to circumstances, evolving step by step."

Saying this, the Dragon Emperor pointed to himself.

"I am a non-intelligent evolution Dominator. My evolution follows the old road of Giant Dragon evolution. After becoming a Dominator, I haven't opened new roads.

All my research is about perfecting the existing Giant Dragon Evolution Road.

In other words, non-intelligent evolution is like a patch-up tailor mending tattered clothes, whereas intelligent evolution is like a tailor making new clothes."

Richard waved his hand: "I don't consider myself a tailor; I'm merely standing on the shoulders of predecessors, trying to advance further."

But the Dragon Emperor spoke earnestly: "Advancing further makes all the difference. Pioneering means facing countless difficulties, unknowns ahead.

No one knows whether this road leads to a deep abyss or a smooth path.

I am a mere simple dragon, so I only dare to do patchwork on an already opened road. But for civilization to progress, it cannot rely solely on creatures like me.

It must have a brave explorer to venture into the road ahead, even if the outcome is uncertain."

The Dragon Emperor's words were exceptionally solemn; a warrior daring enough to blaze a trail is deserving of respect in any civilization.

Richard didn't continue to deflect; the Dragon Emperor had put it this way, any further deflection would be impolite.

Blazing a trail... I indeed am blazing a trail, Richard thought to himself.

Richard and the Dragon Emperor conversed in the Dragon Nest for a long time.

Both of them possessed extraordinary physiques and profound accumulations of knowledge, making their conversation increasingly congenial.

Richard shared his understanding and views on the rules, and the Dragon Emperor shared his dissection of the essence of Giant Dragon Alchemy.

Both sides exchanged genuine knowledge with each other, and what they gained were sparks of inspiration.

Cole and Keto witnessed the entire exchange, and although most of the content between the two Dominators was beyond their comprehension, it did not stop them from having sudden realizations later on.

Years later, Cole and Keto often reminisced about the long conversation between their teacher and the Miracle Wizard.

Whenever they recalled it, they would always tell their students:

"I once witnessed the exchange of true Masters, humble yet arrogant, mad yet rational.

If you are fortunate enough to witness such conversations, it will become the most precious treasure of your life."

...

In the Star Realm, the colossal form of Richard slowly opened his eyes.

He sighed, "Truly, a Master who has studied Giant Dragon Alchemy for years, with such understanding of the rules and dissection of the essence of Giant Dragon Alchemy, it is truly awe-inspiring.

Indeed, every creature that can become a Dominator has its own formidable qualities."

The exchange with the Dragon Emperor was quite fruitful for Richard.

This exchange not only gave him a more essential understanding of Giant Dragon Alchemy, but also resolved a particular issue—

which was how to perform the second rule inscription.

Although the planning for the first rule inscription in the Titan Body Cultivation Method had no issues, out of caution, Richard had refrained from proceeding with the second rule inscription.

Who knows if the second time would go as smoothly as the first?

However, this conversation dispelled Richard's worries.

The method for the second rule inscription indeed had problems; if he followed the Titan Body Cultivation Method records, the second rule inscription would not only fail to incorporate the rule into the Life Core, but would cause a breakdown of all his cells, severely damaging his soul.

However, this doesn't mean that the cultivation method for the second inscription was completely wrong; it just contained a few small errors.

By correcting these small errors, the second rule inscription could proceed smoothly, and the subsequent third, fourth, and later rule inscriptions could also be completed successfully.

Inside the world, Richard's avatar slowly flew out of the world.

In his hand, he held a small gift from the Dragon Emperor—a piece of magic equipment fused with the complete Gravity Rule.

And that was Richard's target for this rule inscription.

[Raw Material: Black Hole Ball]

[Extractable Rule: Gravity Rule (First Level)]

[Refining Consumption: 0.1 Soul Power]

"Refine."

In the next moment, the Black Hole Ball disappeared, then reappeared. Alongside it appeared an intangible, invisible black sphere.

This was the complete Gravity Rule.

Because of the gravitational ability to distort space, the Master of a world who masters this rule can be both offensive and defensive.

And the reason Richard chose it for the second inscription.

was because of its essential ability—the ability to interfere with all things.

Black holes also exist in the Star Realm, but these black holes cannot interfere with time, only space.

Anything within the range of the black hole, whether ether or light, will be absorbed into it.

Using this trait, Richard could control Element Annihilation within each of his cells, allowing every cell in his body to undergo Element Annihilation.

This would greatly enhance Richard's combat power.

Moreover, the Gravity Rule itself can also assist in pushing Shan Hai, thus faster exerting the extremes of his body.

Without delay, Richard immediately entered his Miracle Dimension to begin the second rule inscription.

Fusing the Gravity Rule into the body, in the next moment, the Power of Dimension within him began to circulate.

Countless energy nodes began to resonate, and soon, the core of the rule inscription—the Rule Decay Force Field appeared.

Under the influence of the Rule Decay Force Field, the Gravity Rule quickly disintegrated into a cluster of fine rule fragments.

Then, as the field shifted, these rule fragments began to merge into each of Richard's cells.

However, the moment these rule fragments entered the cells, the already inscribed Four Elements Rules immediately showed agitation.

If Richard were to follow the Titan Body Cultivation Method's record at this point, he would need only to stabilize the Energy Cycle, using the energy field to stabilize the cells, and then perform Rule Fusion.

But after discussing with the Dragon Dominator, Richard was sure that if he dared to do so, his cells would definitely break down before Rule Fusion took place.

The King of Titans has been a Civilization Leader for so long that his assessments of ordinary Dominators have become skewed.

Fortunately, this small error was not difficult to correct.

The original energy field remained unchanged, but the original dimensional power field that facilitated fusion underwent a slight change.

This change would not affect the functionality of the field, only making the fusion process more gradual.

Gradual enough that the cells would have ample time to recover.
