WITH TRUST AND REGRET

The windows were soundproof so Mr. Edward Snow and Cedrick couldn't clearly hear her words. Fortunately, Mr. Snow could easily read lips and his heart ached when he read Isabel's words. But he still remained composed and said to his men.

" Take him to the hospital and pay for all his expenses. Make sure you strictly warm his family to advice him if they truly want him alive and they can think of reporting me to the police. I'm ever ready."

He said with a bit of arrogance. Three military men nodded and took Adrian's body away.

After they were gone, Mr. Edward Snow frowned slightly and said to one of his men emotionalessly.

" She is making noise .

The military man understood immediately and walked towards the car. Cedrick felt nervous all of a sudden and starmered in anxiousness

" Uncle,....w... what are they going to... do...wi.... with her "

Mr. Edward Snow on the other hand smiled and said assuringlly

" Relax, she is my daughter afterall, I'm not going to harm her."

Cedrick saw the military man opening the door and removing a syringe while moving closer to Isabel. Isabel saw his intension and begun screaming but the money military man effortlessly injectee him. Few minutes later, Isabel felt dizzy and passed out. Mr Snow turned to the military men and said with much gratitude

" Thank you all very much "

One of the soldier's said

" No need to thank us captain. We would always be at your call captain Snow "

Mr. Edward smiled sadly and said

" I am no longer your captain "

The soldier again said

" You would forever be our captain "

With that being said, he saluted Mr. Snow and Mr. Snow saluted him back. After that, they asked for permission and went. Mr. Snow turned to Cedrick and smiled warmly.

" Thank you very much Cedrick. I owe you this."

Cedrick quickly regained his composure and said

" It's really nothing uncle. She is also my sister "

Mr. Snow nodded and asked

" Hmmm..... Are you going home? "

" Yes uncle "

" Oh..... I hope everything went smoothly "

" Yes uncle tthe accepted it "

" Since you are going then let's go together"

" Okay, let me tell my driver to send the car "

Mr Snow nodded and went to sit in the passenger seat in the car. Very soon, Cedrick also came and sat on the driver's seat and begun to drive the car. Cedrick looked through the rearview mirror and saw Isabel lying peacefully at the backseat. Even though he was driving, he would sometimes steal a glance at his uncle who had closed his eyes and was taking a nap as if nothing had happened earlier. Frankly speaking, he truly admired his uncle, he was also his role model but this was the first time he had seen him in this heartless way. Feeling the continuous stare, his uncle blurted out with his eyes still closed

" Tell me what you want to say, or better stop staring at me. "

Cedrick was stunned by his uncle's words but he still managed to talk.

" Uncle..... weren't you too....harsh. Don't you think Isabel... might...ha..hate you "

His uncle answered sadly

" It would be best to hate me and leave that guy than be with him and love me. She is being naive and blind. She has to wake up but she don't want to. She pushed me and this is the only way..... She would thank me one day. That I know."

The car became silent as they went. Soon they took a private jet and went back home.

When they reached home, they saw Lilian in the living room. Lilian was seriously puzzled. First, her son was suddenly here out of the blue. Secondly, she saw Isabel being taken to the room unconciousness. After Isabel was taken to her room, Lilian begun asking anxiously

" What is wrong with her. What happened to her. Why is she unconcious. "

To her dismay, her brother replied with tiredness evident in his face

" I'm exhausted now, let Cedrick explain things to you "

After saying that, he quickly left leaving no room for discussion. Lilian also ignored him and to Cedrick as if he was her only last hope

" Cedrick, what happened. Is she fine "

" Mom, .......... "

Cedrick told her everything and now her face was filled with visible anger .

" Why did he have to do that to her "

Before Cedrick could utter a word in an attempt to explain, his mother stormed out of the living room to Mr. Snow's room. Seeing her actions, he sighed and shook his head slightly knowing there was something bad going to happen "

Meanwhile, Lilian barged into Mr. Snow's room. He was standing by the window side as if he was already knew Lilian would come. Lilian yelled furiously

" Edward, why the hell did you do that. She is not some foeon the battlefield, she is your daughter for God sake. Do you have to resort to such measures? "

Mr. Snow calmly said

" She wanted to run away with that bastard "

Lilian quickly snapped back at him

" So what ? Does that mean you have to do that to her. Edward you are worsening the situation, she's going to hate you forever"

Mr. Snow was now enraged

" She better hate me.... look here Lilian,... there's no way I'm going to make her repeat your same mistakes. I failed as your brother and I am not going to fail again as her father. Even if the price is for her to hate me, at least she would find happiness with Carlisle DelaVega ".

Lilian said nothing more and turned to leave. At the door, she heard her brother's voice

" The marriage would take place very soon. From today till she gets married, she is not allowed to leave the house. All her bank account would be freezed. Her properties would be now under my care. Until she gets married, she is grounded ".

From that day, Isabel was not allowed to leave the house and she no more cared. She was like a lifeless being been controlled

She never smiled as her marriage preparations were going on.
