WITH TRUST AND REGRET

Carlisle DelaVega was a handsome young and luminary figure. He was extremely wealthy despite his age and was really prominently in the business world. He was the man in every ladies dream

But unfortunately for these ladies he was already engaged before he was even born. Grandma Snow and Grandpa DelaVega were once lovers when they were young. But luck was not on their side and they both married different people. Nevertheless, they still became friends but they decided to arrange a marriage between thier next generation. Years later, Grandma Snow gave birth to a boy (Mr. Edward Snow ), and a girl (Lilian Snow ). Grandpa Snow also had a girl ( Carlisle's mother ). So they decided to make Grandma Snow's son marry Grampa DelaVega's daughter. But Mr. Edward had surprisingly wanted to be a military man which was against the wishes of Carlisle's mother. She didn't didn't want to marry a military man and they couldn't blame her. It turned out to be a slight misunderstanding between the two parties. After sometime thier parents destroyed that arrangement and mad a new one for thier next generation which was between Carlisle DelaVega and Isabel Snow.

The bells were ringing, birds were flying and the streets were busy. It was cloudy but that didn't seem to terrify the people, they went on with thier duties as usual. Every where was filled with tranquility.

Isabel walked down the aisle with teary eyes. The tears treathened to fall but she maintained a straight face. She really couldn't believe it. She cast her eyes on the alter and saw a breathtakingly handsome figure standing there gracefully with a serious expression plastered on his face.

Although this guy was strikingly handsome, to her, he was not different when compared to an Orangutan. In fact, in her case Orangutan was much more handsome than him. After all her efforts, she was still back at square one marring him. They have all succeed and she has lost. As continued her steps to the alter, her sorrows slowly turned into hatred for the man standing in front of her.

" Oh my, I'm very excited for you guys. Son please take good care of my daughter for me. Most importantly, have patient for her.."

Mr Snow said happily. He then lowered his voice so that only Carlisle would hear

" She is little stubborn "

Not knowing Isabel had heard it. She scoofed in her heart " Hypocrite ". Carlisle on the other hand chuckle lightly and said

" Don't worry father-in-law, she is in safe hands."

Isabel almost laughed at Carlisle's next words

" I also have great patient. I can handle her "

" Have patient for me, huh. Keep on. Let's see how that patient of yours would last "

Isabel scoffed inwardly. Then she heard Grandpa DelaVega's reassuring voice.

" Edward son, do not worry at all. I trust my Grandson very much. He is very responsible. I'm just sad that Vivian is no more. She would have been thrilled to be able to see this for herself. In all I'm happy. Our family is now officially United "

Mr. Edward Snow smiled sadly and said

" Yes uncle, mom should have been here. This was all she had wished for "

Carlisle mother ( Mrs. Harriet DelaVega ), suddenly said in a faked annoyed tone.

" Gosh, is okay. Today is supposed to be a happy day. Why spoil the mood. Aunt definitely wouldn't want you guys destroying the nice atmosphere."

They all laughed and Carlisle father ( Mr..Benard Walker ) said

" Okay guys. If that's all we need to go "

Hearing that, Lucia went and tightly hugged Isabel before saying

" Good bye sis, I would miss you. Remember to visit us regularly."

Isabel chuckled softly and said

" I will. Take care of yourself and make sure study hard and pass your exams. Be a good girl and don't make things hard for Aunt."

Lucia nodded obediently. Lilian also came and bid her farewell and hugged her

" Isa, I'm gonna miss you so much "

Isabel said in the embrace with her head buried in her aunt's shoulders

" I would miss you too Aunt "

Lilian pulled her from the hug and begun to lecture her sternly

" Isa be good, leave your stubborn nature. I don't want to hear any complain "

Even though she was trying to be stern, her eyes still teared up. Isabel also felt tears forming on her eyes. She was really going to miss her aunt

" I will aunt. I would surely behave "

Her aunt hugged her again before reluctantly releasing her from the hug. Cedrick slowly walked to her. He opened his mouth to talk but Isabel suddenly pulled himfor a hug. She buried her head onher masculine chest and said sotto voce

" I'm sorry Cedrick. Sorry for the trouble I've caused earlier. I promise to make it..... "

" Shhhhhhhhh... "

Cedrick immediately stopped her before she could finish her sentence. He stroked her back lovingly and said

" Don't be a kill joy. Relax, just promise to take care of yourself and call me..... "

His voice turned chilly all of a sudden and he said

" Call me if he dares try to bully you. I will deal with him"

Isabel chuckled and said

" I will "

Cedrick smiled in satisfaction and said 'Goodye', before he also pulled her out of the hug. Soon Isabel felt her father walking to her and she felt tensed. Her father was the very last person she would want to ever seen. She seriously detested her father to the core that she wished he was still in the military providing services to the country and not harrasing her. Mr Edward Snow on the other hand clearly observed Isabel actions and felt hurt. Nevertheless he went ahead to hug her lightly. This time he could feel her body stiffened as it a bucket of ice water. His heart ached seeing his own daughter given him this reaction. He quickly lowered his voice and said sotto voce before releasing her.

" You would soon understand me child ".

" I just hope you would not hate me "
