Why must the devil be Defeated?

Moon Demon Territory, deep within a forest.

This place was located right at the edge boundary of the Moon Demon Territory, only a few hundred kilometers away from the Enchanting Demon Territory.

Shane had just teleported here with Chafne in his arms, intending to continue traveling, but Chafne stopped him.

"We can stay here."

Chafne's face was still somewhat pale, yet her tone was no longer weak.

Shane halted, looking at Chafne in his arms.

"Are you sure we don't need to go further away?" Shane asked.

Although they had already moved several hundred kilometers away, such a distance was nothing for someone capable of wielding Transcend Level powers.

If the pursuer wanted to follow and knew their location, it would only take a few seconds to reach here.

Thus, Shane wanted to move even further.

However, Chafne felt it wasn't necessary.

"He won't expect us to stay so close. It's actually harder to find us here," Chafne calmly said. "Besides, he's not without concerns. Now that you've shown yourself to be at the Transcendence Level as well, unless he has already fixed his own flaws, as a half-demon he'd definitely worry about the possibility of being counter-killed if he recklessly pursues us."

Chafne's words revealed her understanding of the other party and her confidence in having a hold over his lifeline.

This made Shane simultaneously relieved and suspicious.

"Half-demon?" Shane muttered in puzzlement. "What kind of demon is that?"

"Kind?" Chafne frowned slightly, speaking irritably to Shane, "Don't talk about demons as if they're genetically modified pet dogs."

"But I have never heard of this 'half-demon' before," Shane shrugged, saying, "Things like demigods, half-demons, and half-elves are often seen in novels, hybrids of humans and other races, but I've really never heard of a half-demon. Could it be one of your sisters' child with a human?"

Hearing Shane's irreverent words, Chafne narrowed her eyes and smiled.

"If you joke about my sisters again, you believe I'll stab you?"

Chafne's threat was delivered in an extremely sweet tone.

"Spare me." Shane chuckled dryly, no longer joking.

Chafne then snorted lightly, pursed her lips, and slowly spoke.

"The world knows that we, the Demon Clan, were born under the influence of Demon King Cladis's magic power, similar in nature to demons that were born due to the influence of the Magic Power Source; we naturally came into existence due to the intervention of magic power."

This was the origin of the Demon Clan and the reason for the clan's existence in this world.

"And if generally the Demon Clan was born under the influence of the Demon King's magic power, then we demons were directly born from within the Demon King's magic power itself."

There lies a fundamental difference between the two.

Ai Yi had once told Shane that the original members of the Demon Clan were born under the influence of the Demon King's magic power, thus they could be considered the Demon King's subordinates, akin to branches and leaves sprouting from a tree, loyal to and dependent on the Demon King. Demons, in nature, are most akin to the Demon King, likening the Demon King to the mighty celestial tree and the Demon Clan as branches and leaves; demons are seedlings, theoretically capable of growing to the level of the Demon King.

Of course, this is only theoretical. The Demon King and the all-powerful Goddess were born from nothingness as the initial concepts and entities, existing above the world. Demons born in this world were always at a lower life level than the transcendent Demon King, fundamentally unable to grow into a Demon King in this world.

But they were also direct descendants born from the magic power of the Demon King, vastly different from the general Demon Clan.

So although all members of the entire Demon Clan could be considered the children of the Demon King, these children were merely "raised" by the magic power of the Demon King, appearing only because of the magic power, lacking a direct blood relation with the Demon King in simpler terms.

Demons, on the other hand, born directly from the Demon King's magic power, sharing similar properties, can indeed be regarded as the blood descendants of the Demon King.

"Like this, there are six known blood descendants called 'demons'."

Chafne gazed at Shane.

"However, this does not mean there isn't a seventh life nurtured from the magic power of the Demon King."

Hearing these words, Shane's eyes twitched slightly.

"Could it be..."

Shane recalled the conversation between Parren and Chafne in the crimson world, referring to what was mentioned about "the younger brother of the demons."

"Guessed it?" Chafne smiled slightly, affirming, "Originally, seven lives were nurtured in mother's magic power. Only six were fully nurtured, while the last one, being born a step late when nearly all of mother's power was occupied by my six sisters, didn't have any remaining power to nurture it completely, resulting in it being expelled to the outside world, similar to the rest of the Demon Clan, born due to the influence of mother's magic power outside."

The so-called half-demon refers to this incomplete demon.
