Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 454: Yusefka Clinic

Dungeon, Fanen had only read about it in books.

Red was too small, so small that it didn't even have a Dungeon.

Before today, he could never have imagined that there was actually a Teleportation Gate hidden in the Dungeon beneath the Sea God's church, connecting to another Dungeon.

Speaking of which, are there any precautions to take when entering a Dungeon? I seem to remember needing to carry something called a Teleportation Crystal, so even if you die inside, you can be teleported out for resurrection.

No, you can't find a Teleportation Crystal anywhere in Red!

If I die inside the Dungeon, wouldn't I really die!

Panic arose in Fanen's heart as his body was pushed completely through the Teleportation Gate, and his vision immediately turned hazy.

Beside him, there seemed to be the sounds of screaming from the parasitic ones, yet he felt a long-lost feeling, as if he were in a warm bed, with a mother whose face he couldn't remember singing a lullaby, and no danger from the outside could cross the covers to harm him.

In short, Fanen seemed to have fallen asleep.

"..."

Sinking, entering a dream felt like falling into an endless ocean abyss.

His eyes couldn't open, and even if they did, all he could see was darkness.

"Thump... thump..."

In the haze of consciousness, a shaking sound came to Fanen's ears, like a bottle filled with liquid being gently shaken, with the liquid and the bottle colliding.

He opened his eyes slightly, and in his view was only an IV drip that looked quite dirty, with crimson liquid flowing down.

Where is it flowing?

He had seen records of such a drip in books, a medical tool used by physicians, but with the emergence of Magic Potions that take effect upon drinking or sprinkling, these tools were used less and less.

As he watched the slowly flowing liquid, he suddenly had a feeling, as if something was entering his body that was definitely not human, something he shouldn't be able to touch, yet...

Why does it feel like his body is gradually gaining strength?

Consciousness gradually blurred, the IV drip seemed to grow wings and flew away, his vision soared higher and higher, passing through unknown buildings, slowly ascending into the sky.

And here, he saw a city like never before.

He couldn't describe what kind of city it was.

Closely packed spire buildings, with each brick and tile exuding a stern feeling, just looking at them felt cold. He instinctively felt that this place wasn't right, yet felt this never before seen architectural style was filled with an alternative beauty.

Fanen felt like he had entered another world, even if he were told he was dead and this city was his unrealistic fantasy, he would dare to believe it.

His vision suddenly shifted rapidly, moving from the entire city to a dark, damp alleyway, and from the street beside the alley came continuous bursts of firelight, as if a group of people were holding torches and marching. Chaotic footsteps, disordered murmurs, and flickering firelight like a bonfire party.

However, when Fanen truly saw the full view of this procession, he didn't think it resembled a bonfire party at all.

Everyone, every person in the parade carried various weapons, their eyes cloudy, no longer human-like, appearing as if they had lost their minds, even their body features were full of beastly traits!

A blood-soaked hound, as if skinned alive, walked alongside the street, and the next second, a bizarre saw blade knife from the alley next to the street suddenly slashed into the hound's body. This abnormal-looking monster didn't even have time to scream before being dragged into the death-representing darkness.

The person attacking the hound had the dressing appearance once seen by Ainz III as a Yarn Hunter.

Yet to Fanen, this was merely a person with seemingly impeccable dress sense and impressive courage.

For some reason, a name suddenly surfaced in his mind for this person dissecting the hound's body: Hunter.

The scene flashed, and the vast procession was wiped out in an instant, the entire body of the blood-drenched Hunter withdrew the Saw Meat Blade from the beastification citizen, pulling out blood and flesh with it.

"Ugh..."

A beastification citizen was not fully dead and let out an inhuman sound, and upon discovery, the Hunter stuffed a Magic Gun into the mouth without hesitation and pulled the trigger.

"Bang—"

The gunfire resounded like thunder, startling Fanen to his core, what kind of Magic Tool was that!?

The scene continued flickering, as if it was uncontrollably flashing at high frequency.

He saw a hideous Wolfman, saw a pale-faced giant, and saw isolated figures like crows.

He saw a priest in the graveyard swinging a giant axe, above the bridge a beast descended from the sky, letting out an earth-shaking roar—

And finally, the vision returned to that slowly flowing crimson liquid of the IV drip.

Fanen felt himself gasping for breath, what exactly had he just seen? Who were those people and monsters?

What story did this Dungeon ultimately tell?

His body still couldn't move, and it was at this moment that a vague figure appeared before him, an elderly figure seemed to sit in front of him, uttering words in an accent that was somewhat strange.
