When Scum girl transmigrated into Naruto World

Chapter 13: A Whisper in the Shadows

The warmth of Shisui's words lingered in Aiha's mind as she made her way back to her quarters. She had taken another step forward, strengthening the invisible tether that bound Shisui to her. Yet she couldn't allow herself to revel in this small victory for long. The Uchiha clan was too vast, its players too diverse, for her to focus on one person at a time.

Her next move had to be precise, and her target carefully chosen. She had already begun to influence Shisui, but she knew his bond with Itachi would complicate things. To secure her position, she needed to drive a wedge between them—not through overt hostility, but by subtly redirecting their trust and loyalty.

Itachi.

The prodigy of the Uchiha clan was as enigmatic as he was brilliant. Aiha had touched upon his vulnerability in their earlier interactions, planting seeds of doubt and mistrust. Now, it was time to nurture them.

---

The following evening, Aiha found herself wandering near the Uchiha meeting hall. Itachi was inside, speaking in hushed tones with his father, Fugaku. She didn't need to strain to imagine what they were discussing. The elders were always plotting, their ambitions entangled with the clan's growing discontent.

She leaned against a pillar, her ears catching fragments of their conversation. Words like Konoha, loyalty, and revolt floated through the air, their weight heavy. Aiha smirked to herself. The perfect opportunity was unfolding.

When the door creaked open, Itachi stepped out, his expression grim. Aiha straightened, letting her features soften into concern as he approached.

"Itachi," she called softly, drawing his attention.

He stopped, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Aiha. What are you doing here?"

"I was just... thinking," she replied, lowering her gaze as if embarrassed. "It's hard not to, with everything happening in the clan."

Itachi's expression shifted, a flicker of curiosity crossing his face. "What do you mean?"

Aiha hesitated, biting her lip as if debating whether to speak. "I... I overheard some of the elders talking the other day. About the tension between the clan and the village. It's frightening, Itachi. I don't understand why there has to be so much conflict."

His eyes darkened, and he crossed his arms. "It's more complicated than it seems."

"I know," Aiha said quickly, her voice tinged with desperation. "But it just feels so... wrong. Aren't we supposed to protect the village? To ensure peace?"

Itachi studied her for a long moment, his gaze unreadable. "You're not wrong," he said finally. "But not everyone in the clan sees it that way. There are divisions that run deep, and resolving them isn't simple."

Aiha stepped closer, her tone softening. "It must be so hard for you, carrying that burden. I can't even imagine what it's like to bear so much responsibility."

Itachi's posture stiffened, but there was a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. "It's my duty."

"But you're only one person," Aiha pressed, her voice filled with quiet insistence. "Even someone as strong as you can't carry everything alone. Isn't there anyone you can trust? Anyone who understands what you're going through?"

Itachi hesitated, his gaze flickering away. "There are people I trust. But trust doesn't solve everything."

Aiha's expression softened further, and she placed a hand on his arm. "Maybe not. But having someone to share the burden with can make it easier."

He looked at her, his eyes searching hers. For a moment, Aiha thought he might pull away, retreat into his usual stoic shell. But instead, he sighed, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.

"Thank you, Aiha," he said quietly. "You're... kind."

Aiha's lips curved into a gentle smile. "I just want to help. If there's ever anything I can do, please tell me."

Itachi nodded, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer before he turned and walked away. Aiha watched him go, satisfaction blooming in her chest. She had begun to chip away at his armor, planting doubts not only about the clan but about his own ability to navigate the storm ahead.

---

Later that night, Aiha sat alone in her quarters, her mind racing. Manipulating Shisui had been easy—his kindness and optimism made him vulnerable. But Itachi was a different challenge altogether. His intellect and discipline required a more subtle approach, one that played on his isolation and internal conflict.

She smirked to herself, already planning her next move. If she could sway both Itachi and Shisui, the two brightest stars of the Uchiha clan, the rest would follow. And when the time came, the clan would no longer be a threat to her ambitions.

Instead, they would be her greatest weapon.
