When Dragon Balls Descend Upon Marvel

Chapter 301: Distribution Complete

From the rubble of their collapsed home, Gilgamesh unearthed a jar of wine.

"This was a gift from Asgard, a vintage over a thousand years old. I've kept it safe all this time," he said proudly.

"Fortunately, it was on the far wall and survived."

He poured three cups in the courtyard, handing them to Smith Dole and Fox.

"Asgardian vintage?" Smith raised a brow, intrigued. "That must be something special."

Gilgamesh nodded. "Indeed. It's from when I fought beside them against the Frost Giants."

Smith took a sip and found it extraordinary. He made a mental note—he'd have to ask Thor for a shipment one day, or even go to Asgard himself to taste more of their food and drink.

Fox eyed the shimmering liquid nervously. "Over a thousand years old… hope it doesn't kill me."

She took a cautious sip. Immediately, fruity aromas filled her senses, and energy coursed through her body.

Gilgamesh frowned. "That reaction… she's like a normal human."

He quickly pulled the cup away.

"Forgive me. I assumed her body could handle it, like yours. Any more and she'd have passed out drunk."

Fox leaned against Smith, cheeks flushed.

"It's fine. I'm just too weak, that's all."

Smith studied her. Lately, her gun kata alone hadn't been enough against stronger foes. The symbiote hadn't chosen her either. If she was to grow, she'd need training in ki. He resolved to ask Master Korin.

"How long until Thena wakes?" Smith asked.

"A little while yet," Gilgamesh replied. "We can talk until then."

So they did—about Asgard, about the Eternals, about the world. Gilgamesh, starved for company, was more talkative than usual, and Smith matched him easily.

"…Thor Odinson is on Earth too?" Gilgamesh laughed. "I wonder if that little brat remembers me."

Smith grinned. "We'll ask him."

Just then, Thena stirred, yawning as she sat up from the table where she'd been laid. Blinking, she looked around, confused.

"What happened? Did I lose myself again?" She glanced at the collapsed house.

"You're awake," Gilgamesh said warmly.

Thena climbed down and immediately fixed her gaze on Fox.

"It's like looking into a mirror." She smiled faintly. "I'm Thena. And you are?"

Fox shook her hand. "Fox. Honestly, if not for your… impressive age, I'd think you were my twin."

Thena chuckled. "Then call me your elder sister."

Fox paused, then smiled. "Onee-chan!"

Smith sighed and shook his head. Women formed bonds in the strangest ways. Gilgamesh only laughed.

Raising his cup, he toasted, "To Thena gaining a sister—cheers!"

They clinked their drinks, though Fox's was swapped for beer this time.

After chatting, Fox explained their mission.

"Thena, we're here to confirm: will you participate in the Dragon Ball Tournament? And what is your wish?"

Thena nodded. "I've been waiting. Of course I'll enter. My wish… is for the Dragon God to cure my Mahd Wy'ry."

Smith and Fox exchanged a glance and nodded.

"Then it's recorded," Fox said. "You also have up to ten spectator passes. Before the tournament, we'll return to escort you."

"Ten?" Gilgamesh mused. "Perhaps we should call the others to cheer you on."

Thena thought it over. "It'd be nice… but time is short. If they can come, good. If not, so be it."

With their task done, Smith and Fox bid farewell.

Elsewhere, Bulma and Melina's mission was much simpler. Tony already knew the process and greeted them as old acquaintances. Bulma handed over two gold passes, stayed for a short chat on research, then left without complication.

Three days later, all operatives regrouped at Assassin Alliance HQ. Each brought back the contestants' wishes, handing the compiled list to Smith Dole.
