Chapter 206: The Deep Pockets of Capsule Corporation
A soldier approached with a report.
"Sir, Blonsky has arrived below, and our people have located Capsule Corporation's chief scientist, Bulma. They're inviting her over now."
Ross nodded. "Land and bring them both up."
The helicopter descended, and soon Blonsky arrived with the escorting soldiers, followed by Bulma, flanked by several guards.
Ross checked them over with a scouter and found each of Bulma's guards had a power level around 20. He couldn't help but note Capsule Corporation's deep pockets. As for Blonsky, without transforming, his combat strength hadn't noticeably improved.
"Miss Bulma, my helicopter might be a bit cramped if we take your whole team," Ross remarked.
Glancing inside and seeing it already packed with soldiers, Bulma replied, "You two come up with me. The rest stay here."
"Yes, ma'am."
The other werewolves obeyed her orders, staying behind while Bulma boarded the helicopter with two guards and Blonsky.
Once airborne, Ross had Blonsky rest and turned his attention to Bulma.
"Thank you for your and Smith Dole's help. Without you two, I don't know how I'd have ended this today."
Bulma smiled. "Smith Dole is a superhero who acts on his own whims. If he sees something like this, he's not the type to stand by."
Ross chuckled, nodding. "When will your second-generation scouters be available? We're eager to upgrade — the current 150-point cap isn't cutting it with threats getting this severe."
Blonsky, sitting nearby, looked over in surprise. So the scouters were Capsule Corporation products? He was curious to see his Abomination form's power level.
Bulma thought for a moment. "We already have a sales plan. The product launch won't be long. Tony seems interested in co-hosting an expo with us, so it might take a bit of time."
Ross nodded. The idea of a Stark–Capsule collaboration intrigued him, though he wondered if they'd have other products to show.
"I'm looking forward to it. The military will definitely send representatives."
Then his tone shifted.
"Miss Bulma, do you know what's going on between Smith Dole and Bruce Banner? I've noticed Smith is controlling the pace of the fight. He doesn't seem to want to end it. In a place like Broadway, if he uses his most destructive attack, the damage would be enormous."
Ross recalled the technique Smith used to drive off the Hulk before. If unleashed here, it could level three whole blocks — not just smash streets and walls, but flatten everything. Evacuating the residents in time would be nearly impossible, and the damages might bankrupt even Capsule Corporation.
Betty, worried for Bruce, also turned to Bulma.
Bulma shook her head slightly. "I'm not sure on the details. But if the fight's gone on this long, Smith must have a plan. In a place like Broadway, he wouldn't use the Kamehameha. Otherwise… we'd really have to release a new product fast."
Ross caught the casualness in her tone — so much wealth that even catastrophic damage was just another line item. For a moment, he almost wished to pin all the losses on Smith, but he knew today's mess started with Blonsky. That wouldn't stick. And Smith was not the type to quietly take the blame.
Ross instead said, "Let's hope he ends it soon."
"Father, let me go down there," Betty interjected. "I can calm Bruce—"
Ross ignored her. He wouldn't risk his daughter, and this fight was a perfect chance to gather data on Hulk and Smith Dole.
He turned. "Blonsky, let's talk."
Blonsky hesitated, glancing at Bulma. She offered, "Want me to get off first?"
Ross waved it off. "No need. I trust Miss Bulma. She's Capsule Corporation's chief scientist — she won't leak what we discuss."
Bulma turned to her guards. "Keep everything from today confidential."
"Yes, ma'am."
Their discipline made Ross nod approvingly.
Blonsky began, "Sir, I was injected by Dr. Ernst. He had a large supply of Hulk's blood. His research can make more green giants. I was curious and wanted to test his claims, so I let him inject me. You've seen the result — I became the Abomination, but retained control, unlike Banner. The appearance might differ due to my earlier super soldier serum, or because it was taken from Hulk form material, not Banner's base DNA."
Betty covered her mouth in shock — so the Abomination came from Ernst's work. Bruce had been right to want that destroyed.
Ross, however, was intrigued. If they could make soldiers as controllable as Blonsky claimed, they could become an unstoppable global force.
"Tell me about the destruction when you first transformed."
