Chapter 31: CHAPTER 30
"Ryphonsus? The knights? Rogues? What the hell is going on?" Trinity asked as they drove off towards town. "Answer me!" She sounded desperate.
"You ask a lot of questions," Tyrone said.
"And you don't answer any." saying this, Trinity sat silently, remembering the first time they had met. She was desperately asking questions after question, only to be met by more questions from Tyrone. Looking at his face, she could tell he was thinking the same thing.
After some time, he stopped the car near a park and got out. Trinity followed, looking at the scenery. The sidewalk was lined with beautiful baby pink roses, and there were benches painted in crimson and gold. They both sat on a bench that was near a pond.
"Trinity, I know you have a lot of questions, and I will answer all of them little by little. You can ask me anything now," Tyrone said, looking at his mate.
"Well... you mentioned Ryphonsus, and the knights and you said we are rogues. What does all that mean?"
"Ryphonsus, the very first dragon, is better known as the dragon lord..." Trinity looked at him with her eyes wide, and mouth open, while Tyrone continued, "The king family come from a long line of hunters that later hunted dragons and became known as the knights in children's books. Dragons who have no home and those who are unwelcome in the castle are rogues," Tyrone explained.
"Who is Marcus?... Or rather, what is Marcus?" The brown eyed girl asked.
"He's a magician; He can perform real magic."
"So... that's why he could produce a rat out of thin air... and yesterday, he raised all the walls of the room, and two of them disappeared before my mom came in," she said thoughtfully.
"Can I ask you something?" Tyrone said.
"Anything."
"When exactly is your eighteenth birthday?"
"In two days."
"Trinity," Tyrone suddenly sounded serious, "I know how we only know each other for a little while, but I feel like we've known each other for a long time." He looked her in the eyes and held her hands as he continued, "I don't know how to express my love for you in words..." Trinity held her breath, "... but it's true... Miss Trinity Grove, I love you more than anything in this world."
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt something in her palm. She looked down and saw a beautiful ring. "Is.. is this ..." she looked at her mate, and he nodded, "Yes, it's my mom's ring; I couldn't think of a more beautiful and sentimental ring for this day. Will you be mine forever? Will you become Mrs Oceans?"
"Yes. Yes, I will," Trinity replied as even more tears rolled down her face.
They both stared into each other's eyes, reading them. Trinity could see a flash of emerald green, and she knew that Drake was just as happy as Tyrone. They drew near each other, and as their lips touched, sparks flew. "I want more," Trinity whispered.
"In two days," her mate whispered back.
She pulled back to study his face. He was serious. "Why not today?".
"Because you'll be legally an adult at eighteen, and besides, this isn't the place or time to..." his voice trailed off.
Trinity smiled but soon realized that Tyrone was watching something or someone behind her very intently. She turned around and saw two men in suits sitting on a bench not far away from them, and they appeared to be talking.
"What's wrong?" She asked Tyrone.
"We're being followed," came the reply.
"Dragons?"
"Worst... knights."

"They should've been here by now," Dorin said, staring at the clock.
"Mom, are you really a witch?" Derek asked.
"Hon, you've asked me that a million times. Please just leave me alone. I'm already worried about your sister."
"Where is Ty." Everyone looked towards the living room entrance. Standing there was a red eyed Esmarald.
They were all sitting on the porch, drinking tea. Dorin got up, excused herself, and went to get more tea and some biscuits.
"And where's Trinity?".
"They've gone to meet Mr King and talk with him," Martha replied, gesturing to a chair.
"How's your sister?" Dr Elise asked, taking a sip of her herbal tea.
Esmarald nodded as he looked at the doorway, taking an empty seat beside Stacey. The swelling and redness in and around his eyes were enough to tell anyone that he had been crying.
"Where are they?" Now, Emeralda was standing at the door, hair messed up and eyes red and swollen.
Before anyone could answer, they all saw Dorins car come into the driveway.
"What the hell were you thinking; almost making your mate roast us alive?" The twins said as soon as Tyrone and his mate got out.
"When did you wake up?" Tyrone asked.
"Why did you stop us?"
"Yes! We could have killed Marcus right there and then."
"And how could you tell your mate to spray us with fire?"
"We were almost barbecued."
The twins started scolding their cousin simultaneously.
Trinity didn't know what to say, so she decided to stay out of this. Before their argument could escalate, Martha intervened, "Jack, Em, please listen to us!"
The twins turned toward the older lady. "Martha, we do respect you, but this is between us cousins... so please..."
"Tyrone did what -" " And who gave you the right to say anything in between us, Stacey? Have you forgotten your place?"
Stacey felt embarrassed at the reminder that she was; is; and probably will always be a servant dragon who was never meant to even exist. She had not yet found her mate, the only person who would have taken her side.
"This is all my fault. I apologize to both of you," Trinity said, trying to ease the tension that was building up between everyone.
"It's not your fault. It is mine. You did what I ordered you to do," Tyrone immediately took Trinity's side.
"We don't care who's fault it is... I just wanna know why you didn't let us merge?" The pale girl asked.
"Yes! We could have killed Marcus right there!" her twin brother added.
"And then what? Would you have stopped there?" Tyrone asked, his voice calm, with a hint of anger. "Remember the last time you merged together? It took four elder dragons to stop you from harming not only yourself but the entire world."
"And who put you in charge of making that decision?" Emeralda spat.
"Enough!" Everyone's head turned towards Dr Elise. "We all came here with Tyrone and his mate ourselves. We all knew the consequences of this decision, but still we came. No benefit will come out of us fighting amongst ourselves. My deep condolences are with you, but your parents would have died either way because they had a fight with the dragon lord the night before all this," Dr Elise said, staring at the twins.
"What do you mean?" Esmarald asked.
"Seavillton and Marina were both against the idea of our young dragons going into such vigorous training that was meant only for the strongest of dragons. Even I, being one of the elders, couldn't pass that training program. They exchanged some abusive words when I suddenly popped by. Their fight did stop, but the look on Ryphonsus face told me of your parents' future," Dr Elise said.
