What's wrong with me?

Chapter 30: CHAPTER 29

Tyrone stopped the car outside an old looking building and got out. "Are you sure this is the place?" Trinity asked him, as she got out of the passenger seat.

"Well, yeah... I saw this image when I touched Eric's head," Tyrone replied, in a tone that sounded like he was trying to convince himself.

"Let's find an entrance than," Trinity suggested, as they both looked around at their surroundings. Broken timber, shattered glass, torn tarpaulins swinging in the wind and the dug up cement with long iron bars poking from the blocks; this place looked like it was either under construction, or the people left it incomplete.

"Can you see anyone?" Tyrone asked, looking straight ahead.

"Nope. Not a soul in sight," came the reply.

"HELLO? ANYONE HERE?" Tyrone shouted, shielding his eyes from the dust the wind carried. "Mr KING?"

"And you are...?" came a voice from somewhere.

"I... I'm Ty, and she's Trin, and we're here to speak with Mr King; please," Tyrone replied, looking around.

"And What is your business with Mr King."

"Our business is with Mr King, not you sir, so is he here?".

"Go away!"

"Wait... We're friends of Eric, Susan and Abigail. We need to speak with him sir, so please can he see us?" Trinity said quickly.

After a long silence, a tall figure appeared at what looked like a wall that turned into an open door. "You may follow me," the man said and without waiting, turned and walked away. Tyrone and Trinity rushed in after him and were surprised by what they saw... huge walls made of the most expensive black tiles, the floor of the corridor made of marble tiles and the room they entered was filled with expensive furniture and status of dragons and other mythical creatures.

One that caught the eyes of Trinity was that of a wonderful white dragon sitting on a rock and a blue dragon sitting by her, both starring at a baby dragon. She began to imagine a life with Tyrone and how, one day this could be them...and a smile involuntarily spread across her face.

"Do not touch that Miss. It's more expensive than it looks," the voice of the butler broke her trance, as she realized that her hand was reaching out to the baby dragon.

"I...I.. I'm sorry," she said, quickly moving her hand back.

"Wait here!" saying that, he disappeared into another room.

"What happened?" Tyrone asked his mate when the other man was gone.

"When?" She asked him.

"Just now... you were attracted to that statue."

"Oh... no...no it's nothing," Trinity waved it off.

"You know, I can feel what you feel." Trinity looked towards him with eyes wide. "So I know what you felt..." Tyrone continued, smiling at Trinity, as she blushed.

"Really?" Trinity asked, looking down.

Tyrone walked slowly towards her, his eyes looking at her hungrily. With each step he took, Trinity felt like her cheeks became redder and heart raced faster. He was now standing right in front of her. He gently lifted her chin up, and saw her face, red as an apple,

Trinity looked up at him. Her eyes gave him the answer he sought. She was just as much in love with him as he was with her. Their hearts beat at the same rhythm as they felt each other's breath. Trinity's eyes automatically closed as she leaned in for a kiss. At that moment, sparks flew and they almost forgot where they were.

"Ahem." the clearing of someone's throat brought them back to reality as they quickly moved away from each other and apologized. "Mr King will see you now," the butler said, holding the door open for the duo.

The room they now entered was small, with a bookshelf in one corner, exquisite paintings on the wall and a table sat on the center, with a young looking man sitting on the chair. Trinity looked at him, surprised by the fact that he wasn't as old as she had thought him to be.

"Take a seat." This man's voice was deep, and his eyes sharp. He had a perfect jaw line, and his hair was neatly groomed. His expensive suit and watch told of his wealth. Any woman would drool over him.

A little nudge from her mate reminded her that he could feel everything she felt. They both sat down and without wasting time, Mr King asked, "Who are you and how do you know Eric and the girls?"

"My name's Tyrone Oceans and she's Trinity Grove, my partner. We're both here to ask for your help," Tyrone replied.

Trinity realized just than that she'd never asked her mate his full name. Oceans! She'd become Mrs Trinity Oceans.

"Help? What kind of help?"

"We need you to do what you do best, slay a dragon!"

Trinity looked towards her mate in shock. Did he just say 'slay a dragon'?

"I don't know what you mean," the dark haired man said, leaning back on his chair.

"Than perhaps we were mistaken... I thought you were a knight, just like your father... Mr Nigel King," Tyrone said indifferently.

The other man leaned forward at once, his face pale. "How do you know him?"

"I know much more than that; I know where he's hiding!" Tyrone whispered, emphasizing on 'he's'.

The green eyed man jolted up, his chair rolling back. He made his way closer to Tyrone, their face almost touching. "Who. Are. You?"

"A dragon."

Mr King moved back laughing. "And you think I'll believe that?"

He turned pale when he looked at Tyrone. Trinity also looked in his direction and saw that her mate's eyed had changed its colour, and the air began to get cool.

"What the.... I... I...- " "Please calm down, Mr King. We're not here to hurt you. We really need your help," Tyrone said, his eyes normal now. "He's killing all the dragons off one by one, under your name. All the other dragons hate you, and follow him blindly."

"I don't see how any of that is my problem," Mr King replied, in a much calmer voice.

"Your three humans are in danger as well."

That caught the attention of the man in the suit. His face turning pale. "Where are they? And how do I know they're OK?"

"They're OK. We've become rogues because of them, just so that we could save their lives. Ryphonsus won't let them walk away easily." At the mention of that name, Trinity looked at her mate. She felt like an outsider, not knowing what was happening and what they were talking about. Ryphonsus? Who was he? The knights? They're real? What else was she to find out?

"Seeing is believing, Mr Oceans. I need to see them to believe that they're all right. And God forbid, if they are not..."

"I assure you-" "Oh please! I need to see them with my own two eyes," Taylor King cut off Tyrone in mid sentence.

Both men were looking at each other, straight in the eyes. "Very well. You can come and see them anytime you want."
