Renata just ate one of those energy cells!! What the heck?!

I ran over to her and she seemed to be looking up into empty space before she let out a burp and a puff of smoke blew out from her mouth.

Did that thing explode inside her?

She patted her belly, "Mmmm~ It seems like the bombs are the energy cells themselves, Daddy! They are rigged to overload and explode when they are used~"

Ries scowled, "That was what I was wondering… The box doesn't seem like it's big enough to contain a bomb big enough to do much damage to begin with. Even if it was a bomb, I would think that it may just damage a small section of the ship at best… But if we were to make use of it to power our systems, it might potentially cause an overload of our ship's systems and create a chain reaction which could blow up the entire ship…"

I raised an eyebrow, "So he was planning to kill us, then? Probably thinking that we might try to use it in place of our usual energy cells and then blow ourselves up before tomorrow."

Amber frowned, "He's really trying to base it on chance, huh?"

Ries's tail flicked uneasily, "Not exactly… If I didn't know… I might have insisted on testing the energy cells out first and probably connected it to a machine to check if it's genuine… It might then set itself off which would at least take out a significant portion of the ship's systems… If we're unlucky, it might even blow open a hole in the ship's hull and probably launch me into space…"

Ok, that decides it.

"We're killing them," I announced simply.

Amber also nodded, "I'm of the same idea as well. These people tried to kill us, they should not have any complaints if we do the same to them."

Lea tilted her head at me, "Is it really necessary though, Mistress? We could just sell the weapons to that other gang and then they can go ahead and kill each other. We don't even need to be involved."

"That is true, but the fact that they tried this on us means it's now personal… And honestly, I was really annoyed by that fake smile he was showing us the entire time."

"In that case… Shouldn't we make a move first? This guy should already know we're going to sell his target more weapons tomorrow so he might make plans to either disrupt the sale with his new weapons or maybe even strike them before the sale happens."

I crossed my arms, "In that case… Should we go back to ask if Feng is interested in purchasing the weapons earlier?"

Yumiko pursed her lips at me, "He might ask why, Mistress… And if he knew that you also sold weapons to the other side…"

"We could say that we were forced to do that since he came to our ship with armed escorts and threatened us."

"Ooohhh~ Lying are we? Tera? That's so hot~" Amber giggled.

I rolled my eyes at her but chose not to say anything.

Instead, I decided to bring the discussion back on track, "So are we going through with that? Do we look for Feng again?"

Yumiko tapped on the side of her cheek, "Mmm… I think it might be a better idea if we just pretend we don't know anything and just do the deal with him tomorrow. That way, if nothing happens, we can still launch our own surprise attack on that group on our own and claim all the loot for ourselves. And if they spring the trap on us, we would have an excuse to fight back."

"Or if we have second thoughts about engaging in a gang war, we can also just leave and pretend we don't know about the energy cells rigged to blow," Mara added.

Yeah… I guess we could always just ignore this entire thing and just leave anyway… But I don't feel like having that suit guy think he managed to trick us and give him that satisfaction.

So unless something else comes up to dissuade us from doing so, I would really want to beat him up if I could.

I shrugged, "Alright then. We might as well just sleep on it for tonight and we'll see what happens tomorrow. But now what do we do with the box of energy cells that are actually bom-- Renata?"

I had wanted to turn around to gesture at the box of energy cells but I realised the eldritch being that had been quiet the entire time was patting her belly in satisfaction while an empty box laid beside her.

"Mmmm~ That was yummy, Daddy! I got a lot of liquid matter from that!"

You know what, sure. That solves the problem of dealing with the bomb so good job, Renata! Head pats for you!

"Ehehehe~ Daddy~" She giggled as I rubbed my hand on her head.

Speaking of which, I only just realised that she had changed her maid uniform again, her skirt now only reaching her knees instead of her ankles like before.

Guess she was changing how her clothes looked depending on the location? Maybe she makes it more casual when we're inside the ship.

Anyway… Without anything else planned, we pretty much just cleaned up and prepared the weapons we were planning to sell Feng tomorrow before we had the rest of the day to ourselves.

The next day rolled around and I woke up to a blue haired Renata tugging on my arm to wake me up.

"Daddy, Daddy~ Are you awake yet?"

I groaned a little before prying myself out of Lea's embrace, my lover muttering something about honey in her sleep.

It took me a moment to realise the hair colour change before I asked, "Is this a new body?"

Renata nodded, "I split another copy since I got a lot of liquid matter yesterday and having one more for security might be a good idea~"

Well… Guess there's more of them now… But I guess this was something I expected anyway so it's not a big deal.

Honestly, I'm more surprised she didn't just split into ten like she had mentioned before.

"Right… Ummm… So what do you need, Renata? And where's your original body?" I asked.

That's when I felt something move under the covers and I pulled back the covers to see the purple haired Renata sleeping near the bottom of the bed and hugging my leg and using it as a pillow.

"How is she asleep but you're awake? Aren't all of you a hive mind or something?"

The purple haired Renata then lifted up her head and giggled at me, showing that she was actually awake the entire time.

"Ehehehe~ As I said, Daddy, I don't need to sleep. I can still mimic sleep though. Anyway, I'm here to tell you that someone came to leave something at the door of our ship again."

The blue haired Renata stretched out her palm and a screen appeared in the air out of her palm which made me jump in surprise.

"Wait, you can do that?"

Renata nodded her head proudly, "Of course Daddy~ I have already interfaced with the ship so I can also project what the ship sees using my body~"

That doesn't really explain how but I'm going to assume she's making use of her liquid matter to create a projector or something which she would then project a screen into the air.

The screen showed a rather shady looking guy placing a personal terminal at the exact same spot as the other guy had before he went back to the lift and left the area.

"I'm guessing this guy must be Feng's guy who came to tell us whether they are interested in buying the stuff or not. Guess I should go and take a look."

Renata then stretched out her other arm to show me the personal terminal, "I already took it, Daddy~ Don't worry, I checked to see if it was a trap and it's not~ Do you want to play the message recorded on it?"

"Err… I guess? That's what they want us to do right?"

She tapped on the personal terminal and a hologram appeared in the air, this time showing Feng looking straight at whatever was recording him.

"Hello there. I'll keep this short. I want everything that you had offered us yesterday. Bring the stuff with you to the location at the time that is attached to this message. The exchange will happen there. A route is also marked out for you to take to make sure that no one makes a fuss about you carrying crates full of weapons. Make sure you are not late."

The message then shut itself off before the screen was replaced by a map that was leading me directly to the location that Feng had mentioned.

The time was also set to be two hours from now so… Wake up girls!! We've got Credits to be making!
