Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 44, Battle on the Ice (Part 2)

A man and a beast clashed once again, and the Doomsday Bull quickly showcased its advantage. The war axe in its hand was like a guillotine on the execution stage, making even the bravest warriors tremble in fear with each encounter. Its barbaric roar was like the horn of hell, eroding the sanity of normal humans and causing them to lose their fighting spirit.

Fortunately, Laine was not a normal human.

The White Wolf Knight's throat emitted a deep roar of anger, his bright eyes filled with astonishing fighting spirit like a white wolf on the snowy plains. Laine's warhammer sparked with electricity, showing no sign of weakness against the Doomsday Bull in battle. Every strike carried incredible power, pushing away the war axe in the Doomsday Bull's hand with the force from his arms. A massive amount of spiritual energy surged through Laine's body, and the warhammer unleashed golden lightning onto Tauros's body: "Thunder Power!"

"Ahhhhh!!!" The golden lightning scorched Tauros's body, burning many parts of its skin into charred blackness. The Beastman Beast King let out a cry of pain, but its body showed no sign of halting. The Doomsday Bull used its left arm holding the war axe to forcibly withstand the scorching of the golden lightning, charging at Laine with overwhelming force.

Laine had to immediately retract his spiritual power and roll to the side to avoid the attack. He rolled several times on the ground before trying to get up when a shadow appeared to his left front, making him instinctively raise his hammer to block.

It was his years of rich combat experience that saved him. As he rolled, the Doomsday Bull propped itself up with both arms and pounced fiercely toward the rolling figure of the White Wolf Knight. Its enormous horns directly hit the raised hammer handle, sending Laine flying several meters. He rolled several times on the mountain's meadow before barely getting up. Laine felt his internal organs disarrayed by the impact, and strands of bright red blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

"Ugh~ this is~ Dragon Vehicle." Laine clutched his chest, and not only his mouth but also his nostrils were bleeding. With each breath, he could feel the pain in his lungs and the sweet taste of blood and iron stinging his taste buds.

Dragon Vehicle is a combat skill involving a powerful creature slamming its front limbs into the ground and charging rapidly, which the Beastmen call "Barbaric Charge," while humans refer to it as "Dragon Vehicle."

Now is not the time to feel pain! Laine slammed the ground hard and got up with difficulty, kneeling, as blood dripped drop by drop from his nose and mouth to the ground. Taking several deep breaths, he declared, "For Yurik, the White Wolf Knight will not fail!"

On the other side, Tauros wasn't in good shape either. Its body bore multiple burn marks, and after executing the Barbaric Charge, it collided directly with Laine's hammer handle. The intense dizziness in its head took the Doomsday Bull quite some time to shake off, and as soon as it regained its senses, it shouted filled with rage and resentment, "Very well... human, you are the first one... to remain alive after this... That knight from the lake... lost his limbs, eyes... were gouged out, tongue... chopped up, and I threw his body to feed... my servants! He was just as annoying... cursing me till the end, and you... are next!"

"The Lady brought light and discipline to the knights during those dark times. I will not allow you to insult her knights like this; you shall die by my hand!" Laine could feel pain coursing through his entire body, his eyes flashing with intense anger, and he murmured, "May the Father be with me."

With cracking sounds from his knees and pelvis, Laine stood up again and walked towards Tauros: "Our fight is not over yet!"

With that said, while Tauros had not fully recovered, Laine struck at the Doomsday Bull's head with his hammer: "This strike is for the Lady!"

Tauros certainly wouldn't sit and wait to be killed, but as it tried to dodge, a strong golden lightning suddenly erupted from within its body, scorching its nerves. It immediately realized this was a plot by the human in front of it; some of the earlier golden lightning had infiltrated its body, waiting for the perfect moment to explode.

"Damn... Knight!!" The Doomsday Bull immediately raised its right arm to block. Laine's warhammer hit directly at the elbow, and even a limb as strong as a tree trunk couldn't withstand such a massive impact. The sound of shattering bones confirmed the success of Laine's attack, and the Doomsday Bull's large machete dropped to the ground, its right hand hanging limp, with little spurts of black-red blood spraying from the wound, exposing the ghastly white bone.

"Ughhhhhh! Human! I will kill you!!!" The Doomsday Bull suddenly raised its iron hoof, and knowing the opportunity was gone, Laine immediately dodged. Tauros stood up again, suddenly extending its bloody maw and biting off the muscle from its right forearm, discarding the torn flesh to the side. In Laine's shocked gaze, the bones of the Doomsday Bull's severed right arm frantically elongated, ultimately transforming into a sharp bone blade flashing with a terrifying cold light: "In the name of my lord... Khorne!"

"For Yurik!!!" Laine swallowed the blood in his throat and engaged in battle with Tauros once more.

On the high mountains of Scavell Mountain, an unknown bloody battle continued.

No, it was not unknown; in the dark void, a pair of eyes watched over the entire scene. His appearance resembled a tall human warrior, draped in gray wolfskins, with multiple wolf skulls adorning his full plate armor.
