Chapter 108- Ten Most Useless Items(2)
After seeing that no one stood up to talk again, the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator allowed for the various cultivators to bring out ten items from their storage bags. Grey slowly counted six breaths of time, then the ten items that was sprawled in front of him flew up to meet the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator.
It was not only his ten items that flew up, but every single item that had been displayed in front of everyone was spread out and taken upwards by a strange force.
Those who could not produce ten items in time had their flesh and blood dissolve into paste, which then turned into a strange and eerie pill which followed the rise of items. Their storage bags also followed as well.
All in all, this scene was both frightful and sinister as it looked magical... In a twisted sense.
Shortly after, all the items that were summoned upwards disappeared into a ring on the finger of the Nascent Soul cultivator. Soon after all the items were delivered, the Nascent Soul expert let out a cold snort and disappeared.
His body turned illusory as if he was becoming transparent and then disappeared. The dark blue light that placed a mighty pressure over everything also left with the departure of the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator.
'Hmph!' Bao let out a sigh of relief as he finally stood on his feet without the assault of the mighty pressure. He instinctively turned his head to Grey and smiled. Then muttered some words that Grey found incomprehensible, but he read his lips and got the meaning.
'See you next time...'
Grey's eyes were dilated as a feeling of foreboding and danger suddenly arose in his heart.
He pulled back his fist, ready to throw a 'Air cannon' punch, but the chubby cultivator suddenly swayed. Grey's fist still managed to reach the chubby cultivator and punched him right in the stomach, but instead of meeting flesh with his fist, he felt as if he had just punched paper and beyond that, air...
'Boom'
A loud air cannon in the shape of a fist suddenly exploded and turned the swaying chubby cultivator into nothing more than shreds of paper which was dispersed by the fist shaped air cannon.
Because of the commotion, everyone's sights were suddenly drawn to Grey's magic ship. Feeling the multiple gazes all landing on his person, Grey felt a strange chill run down his back. He almost even instinctively shuddered.
"This fucker... He's here making a commotion after all our items have been taken! You deserve to die!" A cultivator several dozens of feet said as he unleashed a energy attack from his magic ship.
Grey felt as if he had become the center of anger to everyone present here. Not long after that, the deck of Grey's magic ship exploded into pieces of wood and splinters which flew in every direction.
Thankfully, Grey was standing some distance away from the main deck, so the flying pieces of wood did not impact him too much. But he was still surprised by the sudden attack and could only point it out to one person... The chubby cultivator.
The energy attack that was unleashed from the magic ship did not hit Grey's magic ship, and instead impacted someone else who was close to Grey.
It was an old man. The old man's eyes turned red with rage and fury as his magic ship was blasted apart right in front of his eyes and he fell straight into the water.
"You insolent children! I'm old enough to be your grandpa!" The old man said and spat out white cloud-like smoke from his mouth.
As soon as this white cloud-like smoke appeared, everyone within a distance of ten meters- including Grey, was affected and became inflicted with a strange ailment.
'A disease!' Grey exclaimed Inwardly as he felt his body become weird. His eyes became drowsy and he found opening his eyes to be a hassle. His feet almost collapsed due to his own weight.
A distance away, the chubby cultivator suddenly appeared behind a cultivator. He rubbed his nose, nearly sneezing in the process but managed to hold it in.
He then stretched his hand and did a short hand seal before tapping the deck underneath him three times.
He then smiled wickedly and turned into a large piece of paper behind the unsuspecting cultivator.
The moment the piece of paper landed on the place on the deck where the chubby cultivator's hand once touched, a loud boom erupted.
Grey and everyone else suddenly looked at the place where the sound had come from and saw a magic ship exploding into smithereens.
The cultivator on board was reduced to flailing pieces of flesh and blood. In the explosion, everyone saw the chubby cultivator carrying the storage bag.
When he felt their gazes, he turned to face them and flashed a warm smile at Grey, as if telling him that his mission was accomplished. He then swayed and turned into a piece of paper that was vaporized by the explosion.
Now everyone's eyes were on Grey once again, not even minding the chubby cultivator who had disappeared after taking the storage bag from the cultivator.
"He's working with that fat guy to steal our treasures. Let's fucking kill him!" Somebody said and everyone suddenly launched an all out attack on Grey.
'Fuck! This is exactly what I've been trying to avoid!' Grey said inwardly before retailiating with a Divine attack of his own.
'BOOOOM!!!'
A loud boom erupted and all the magic ships surrounding Grey were blasted backwards. Their various attacks were nothing in the face of Divinity. As Grey seriously pondered whether he could come out alive, he sprinkled the very last of his poison in the air.
He then punched out repeatedly with fist shaped air cannons until he was sure that his poison was spread out in every direction within a twenty meter range.
A loud boom rang out again, and Grey knew that another magic ship had been reduced to nothing more than destroyed wood by the chubby cultivator.
'I really underestimated his shrewdness and callousness! He's destroying boats like their sticks and pushing the blame to me.' While Grey was still in awe of Bao's indifference towards putting all the blame to him, the other party sneaked unto his magic ship and attempted to launch the same attack on him twice.
But Grey suddenly had a premonition and punch out widly.
'Bang'
The Air cannon hit Bao squarely in the face, and he was launched out of Grey's ship into the dark and murky waters.
But Bao's figure could be seen melting, his body behaving like paper that was submerged in water.
His entire outline soon turned flat as he turned into a big Bao shaped piece of paper. Bao's obese figure appeared again on another magic ship. But this time, in his eyes, you could see some traces of fear and wariness towards Grey.
"I've had to expend a lot of my paper substitutes..." Bao said in a low voice. But then his voice turned excited with a tinge of craziness. "But it was all worth it!"
After that, he did the same quick hand seals and touched the surface of a magic ship. After swaying away like a wilted leaf in the wind, the magic ship exploded into fragments of wood.
As more magic ships exploded, the cultivators turned even angrier. Their faces turned ugly and their eyes turned bloodshot with rage as they continuously bombarded Grey's ship with attacks.
But Grey steered his magic ship in such a way that none of the attacks ever touched him. And those that do touch him was absorbed by the spirit energy barrier.
But continuously setting up spirit energy barriers was both taxing for him, and eating up his spirit stones.
Soon, he wouldn't have the energy to steer his ship away from danger any longer.
But just as he was beginning to feel despair, one cultivator close to Grey suddenly coughed out a mouthful of black blood.
His face turned pale with disbelief. But it didn't end there, many other cultivators also coughed out black blood one after the other as if in cohorts with each other.
"Poison!?"
After the old cultivator spat out a white cloud-like smoke that caused different ailments to others, Grey had already begun to disperse his own poison in retailiation.
The ailment caused by the white cloud-like smoke did not affect him because he had the purple crystal's awesome healing to thank.
But the other cultivators did not have the same Grace as him. After being struck with a strange ailment, the poison from Grey was enough to wreck havoc inside their bodies if given enough time.
And time had been what Grey had been stalling for. These last poison pills of his were his most corrosive and lethal yet.
They ate away at you from the inside and symptoms would only show when it was too late!
Many cultivators instantly brought out medicine to swallow and cure the poison in their bodies, but Grey only smiled slightly when he saw that.
'Pah'
One cultivator's throat directly exploded as he tried to swallow the medicine. The moment others saw that, they immediately stopped their actions of throwing medicine in their mouths and instead looked at Grey fearfully.
One cultivator shouted from the deck of his magic ship. From his mouth, black blood was constantly oozing out. He looked at the pill bottle next to him but resisted his urge to quickly swallow it.
"Give us the cure, and we'll let you pass."
Grey pretended like he didn't hear him speak and punched out a fist shaped air cannon.
"Dammit..."
The cultivator could only grit his teeth and attack Grey along with the others.
'This guy is too arrogant! Just because he has poison, he thinks he can be unreasonable. If we're on solid ground, I want to see if he would be this stubborn.' Those were the thoughts of most of the cultivators, but little did they know that those were Grey's thoughts as well.
