Villain System: 10,000x Reward On Murder In The Apocalypse!

Chapter 20: Type 1 Mutated Rat, Level Up!

Draziel's actions were extremely risky. Just a single scratch to the body and he would instantly be infected, but this was Draziel, he always placed everything within his analyses.

Draziel stood a few steps above the ground floor and immediately the zombies got within reach, his axe sliced into the skull of the first zombie, it's brain matter splattering across the wall like a paint job, rendering it dead. Immediately two other zombies took its place.

Draziel swung his other axe, cutting off the head of two other zombies. With that, the zombies started multiplying.

The door to the stairs was a narrow path, therefore only five zombies could squeeze through the door. But before they could climb the stairs, their heads had been sliced into two parts.

Draziel continuously swung his twin axe rapidly with strength of about three points and combat points of 7 units, his arms turned into a blur as he waved the twin axe like a fan, mincing through the zombies like a rotor but with sounds of bones grinding in the background.

The dozen amount of zombies were starting to multiply and as time passed, they were no longer just a few dozen zombies but had become a horde in less than ten minutes.

Draziel didn't seem to mind this in the slightest. He kicked, slashed and diced while moving backwards periodically as the horde got closer to him. Thankfully the place was narrow.

This continued for another 15 minutes and Draziel was getting drenched in sweat, not from the swings, but from the intense calculations his brain was sustaining !

He wasn't just killing zombies stupidly, otherwise be would have long since being consumed by them.

He was similarly precisely avoiding their claw attack as just a single strike could prove fatal while simultaneously flicking the Nexus cards to the side. His face was starting to lose color, and his brain was everywhere while his arms were also getting uncomfortably sore by the minute.

Draziel endured for another five minutes to meet up with his estimations before he felt as though he was about to collapse from the severe calculation and exhaustion, he instantly retreated back up to the next segment of the stairs. While simultaneously perceiving his status.

Grabbing a bunch of Nexuses from the pile, he immediately distributed evo points to his attributes.

Draziel felt a warm torrent of energy flowing into his arms and body and the ache in his muscles faded as though they were renewed, his brain immediately chilled as he felt a cooling sensation flow into them, making him shiver in slight ecstasy. He immediately felt refreshed.

The zombies struggle amongst each other through the tight stair to get to Draziel, climbing onto each other trying to get to him, but Draziel sent them backwards with his axe.

The numbers of zombies on the ground floor weren't that few to begin with, but their growling sounds kept attracting even more zombies from outside the company. If it weren't for the narrow door and stairway, the situation would have gotten out of hand.

19.

Draziel felt as though his speed of killing was still too slow. His strength was already enough to slice through their skulls, but his attack speed was still too slow to quickly clear the incoming zombies.

Using an area of effect attack, Draziel knocked back the rushing zombies and as though they had been hit by a moving rocket, they collapsed like dominos.

He distributed more Evo points to his stats.

"Boom!"

His thighs as well as his waist suddenly shook and Draziel faltered, almost falling forwards to the ground. At that moment, four pair of blood stained hands had took a swipe at him.

Draziel harrumph coldly stretching out hands, he used his axe's head to hook the staircasing metal, supporting himself while narrowly avoiding the claw attacks to his chest, neck and thighs.

With his other axe, he knocked them back once more.

It was then he managed to recover. His muscles were even more coordinated than before and his reaction speed which was previously inhuman had also improved greatly.

Stomping the head of three zombies crawling underneath the horde, trying to reach him. His axes were even quicker now. Their movements blurred like the blades of an helicopter.

Fast and deadly, chopping through the zombies' skulls like they were made of butter. With just one point rise in his agility, Draziel's rate of killing the zombies improved exponentially.

But this was just hardly enough to deal with the horde of zombies. They kept climbing and using each other as stepping stones, claws striking at him in all directions, both above and below as he retreated even more, floor by floor.

He needed more strength. As he retreated and killed, he kept amassing more and more Evo points and he kept distributing them.

[Vitality +1]

Another surge of that refreshing feeling surged into him again, invigorating his body as he swiped and slashed the axe without slowing down.

After a few minutes, he noticed his speed wasn't able to keep up with the coming zombies.

Draziel gritted his teeth as he distributed 1 Evo points to agility.

[Agility +1 ]

Suddenly, he felt a constraint he didn't know his body had released and his muscles didn't feel tight but they flowed smoothly like water now.

He didn't feel like he was using his stamina to keep up with killing speed. But now he was using pure reaction speed to flow more easily like a grinding machine. His reaction was simply too monstrous now.

Draziel didn't need to retreat any longer, his killing speed was now equivalent to the replacement speed at which the zombies came at.

He killed five zombies in a calculated slash but was replaced by five more. Immediately as soon as the next five replaced them, he killed them again and again. Suddenly Draziel and the zombies appeared to be in some kind of stalemate.

His computational ability had also increased drastically. He was now thinking almost twice as fast as he previously did.

"Bang!"

His leg turned into a blur as he side kicked a zombie, smashing its head against the railing, totally crushing its skull. His hands waved and his left axe slashed apart three skulls while the right crushed two zombies' skulls.

Time went by and soon, thirty-minute had passed. Draziel who was just slightly familiar with the Axe seems to have gained even more understanding of the Axe. He managed to reduce air resistance and used as little strength as possible to pierce through the zombie's head.

Draziel was beginning to feel a wave of exhaustion overcome him, but then he saw the horde was starting to dwindle, through the stairs, only thirty to forty zombies were left. All of which took a few minutes to handle.

Finally, he was able to rest. He gazed at what he had done and Draziel marvelled at his latest masterpiece which emanated a strange form of beauty.

But from a spectator's point of view, the scene could only be described as carnage! But also a strange beauty. If one viewed the line of corpses from above, the pile of corpses strangely formed the shape of a rotten rose! Now, one could only imagine if Draziel had done this intentionally or not!

'If only they had been truly alive.' Draziel shook his head, locking the door as he panted, sprawn out on the bloody stairs. He was more than just a little exhausted.

He himself didn't know just how many he had killed. He lost count after 192.

From the first floor, Draziel had retreated all the way to the 12th floor without knowing it. A few less floors than he calculated. But what followed him were trails of corpses, dying the white stairway red with blood, bones, organs and brain fluid.

Draziel's body wasn't spared of blood either. His entire body was covered in zombie bodily fluids and bone shards.

He holstered his twin axe on his back and wiped the dark red bloodstains off the face mask and sat on the stairs panting.

From his calculations, he had taken care of about three hundred zombies within the hour.

He went forward and dragged out a corpse from beneath the zombie corpses, his face seem to brighten as he searched the corpse, retrieving a gun holster from its waist.

Draziel tightened it to his waist and then pulled out the handgun from within the holster. A smile unconsciously formed on his lips as he pulled and corked the weapon, checking it out.

"Glock 20." He whispered. Checking the cartridge, the 15 round magazine was complete. There was also a bullet within the chamber, making for 16 rounds.

Draziel could tell the guard loved the gun dearly and serviced it regularly from the smooth movement of the slide but sadly, he hadn't had the chance to use it even now during the apocalypse.

He most likely died trying to handle a situation of a zombie attacking someone, thinking it was someone who had gone mad from hopelessness due to the nuclear attack.

[294 New Notifications]

"Status." His hoarse voice echoed through the quiet stairway.

[Decakill ×27]

[Draziel Mvcyger] | [Sex: male] | [Evo points: 8.23] | [Strength: 3.23] | [Agility: 4.33] | [Vitality: 4.54]

Finally, his hard work yielded the result he wanted. With the amount of evo points he had, he could finally raise his strength or agility to 10 points.

It just might be barely enough to deal with the creature outside the street, but to Draziel, it was enough to work with. It wasn't always strength that determines who emerges victorious in a battle.

With his vitality at 4 points which is four times a normal human, the glass wounds on his palm were starting to heal and the injuries had dried already.

Draziel walked over the mountain of corpses beneath his feet, as he headed to the ground floor.

The ground floor is now completely empty, with only but large amounts of corpses lying around.

The radioactive substance in the environment had increased drastically on the ground floor, creating a foggy dark-yellowish atmosphere.

Draziel stood before a water dispenser installed on a wall. Pressing the button he bent down, placing himself under the running tap and began washing off the filth on his body and his gas mask.

If this had happened before the apocalypse, the security team would have had him thrown out of the company immediately and he would likely never set foot within the company again.

But this wasn't the normal world, it's peaceful era ended long ago. This is the apocalypse, the guards aren't guards anymore but zombies.

All of a sudden, Draziel's actions froze and the water running over him stopped as he lifted his hands slowly, away from the button.

His eyes immediately locked onto the entrance of the company as though he could see through the toxic radiative fog. His expression extremely solemn as he withdrew his combat knife on his left and the Glock 20 hand gun on his right.

His breathing steadied, gazing at the entrance of the company that seem to be deserted with only burnt cars and corpses in sight.

"Bang!"

Suddenly, a hideous monster climbed to the top of rumbled vehicle. Its beady eyes rolled around and then became fixated entirely on Draziel.

The monster has the shape of a rat, but it was extremely huge, standing at almost two meters, its body bulging with muscles but there was no fur in its body.

"Scan target."

"Type 1 Mutated Rat."

[Warning, the target is considered extremely dangerous.]

Draziel's eyes twitched once he saw the word Type 1. This meant one of its attributes is at or above 10 points and its power level would be at least 15 to 20 units. The situation wasn't looking too good for him at the moment.
