Vigilante Deku (completed)

Izuku whistles innocently, scuffing the toe of his shoe on the ground and looking at a wall to his right. Shouta's currently staring holes into Izuku's head and the teen has no intention of making eye contact. Hizashi, on the other hand, is trying to not laugh while also looking somewhat angry. And let him just tell you, seeing two very different emotions displayed on a face is a strange thing to see. Izuku doesn't think he would ever get the image out of his mind. 

If he's being honest, it kind of looks like the man's constipated and upset about it. Izuku tries to hide a smile at the thought and fails miserably. 

"What do you find so funny?" Shouta finally asks after 5 minutes of staring. 

"Hizashi looks constipated." Izuku says, turning his head away and openly laughing. It's a small laugh, just loud enough to be a chuckle, yet not as quiet as one.  

Hizashi squawks in indignation, his face morphing from the constipated look to a now peeved look. It makes Izuku laugh harder. Shouta grumbles something about problem children and loud husbands and Izuku gathers his composure worryingly quick. 

Shaking his head and clearing his mind of those kinds of thoughts, Izuku grins and finally locks eyes with Shouta. 

"Grounded." Shouta said, holding eye contact, quirk presumably itching to be released.  

"What! No! Come on! Shoutaa." Izuku practically whined, grabbing the man's shoulders and shaking him while also moving his upper body with the shaking. 

"Grounded." Shouta said again. "No at-home experiments for a month." 

Izuku groaned, falling back onto his butt. He knew this was going to happen, but he still hates it. No at-home experiments for a month . Shouta doesn't know how torturous that's going to be. Izuku can't just not experiment. At least his lab privileges weren't taken away. Small victories, he supposes. 

"Fine, but whatever happens during that month is on you." Izuku said, grumbling in faux annoyance. He's a little disgruntled, but he couldn't be annoyed. He knew this was going to happen with the stunts he pulled, but not to this extent. He's going to make this month a living hell for Shouta. 

"No. Don't smirk. Whatever you're thinking Izuku, stop it. You're not allowed to smirk like that. I know that smirk. You're planning something." Shouta says. The man's words are just a repeat of the same thing and it makes Izuku smirk more. 

Shouta's going to regret taking away his experiment privileges. 

Hitoshi wants to sigh, but he really should have expected this. Kaminari and his gaggle of friends had migrated to the table Mei and him were occupying and were very loud. It wasn't as loud as Mei and Izuku ended up being when they were in the labs together, but it was still loud nonetheless. 

"Where's Yamazawa? Is that his name or is it Izuku?" Pinky (he thinks her name was Mina) asks, looking pointedly at Mei and Hitoshi. 

"Getting grounded." Hitoshi says like they're talking about the weather. 

"For what?" Mina asks. 

"Being him." Hitoshi answers drily.

"Exploding Zuko!" Mei cheers at the same time. 

"Zuko?" Tape (Sero? Hitoshi doesn't know and doesn't think he really cares) asks, rightfully confused. 

"Zuku's words, not mine." Hitoshi says, not elaborating on purpose. 

When they realize neither Mei nor Hitoshi are going to elaborate on 'Zuko' Kaminari and his friends go back to talking about whatever it was they were talking about before. 

"Toshi! MeiMei!" Izuku's voice whines from behind them, said teen jumping onto them and pulling their heads closer towards each other. 

"ZuZu!" Mei exclaims. "How'd it go?" 

"Can't do at-home experiments for a month." Izuku pouts, releasing their heads and standing behind them not even trying to find a seat. 

"That's ok! We'll just have to do in-lab experiments!" Mei exclaims, scooting over for Izuku to squeeze in between them. 

"And make this next month a living hell for Shou." Izuku says, nodding like he just had the greatest idea. And Hitoshi supposes it was a great idea in regards to Izuku and his experimentation time. 

"Yeah!" Mei exclaims, pumping a fist into the air. Hitoshi doesn't know how she has so much energy. For that matter, he doesn't know how either of his friends have all the energy that they do. He knows for a fact they barely sleep enough as it is when they're working in the labs. 

"Alright Little Listeners! Everyone who is participating in the final round, please come out to the field!" Mic-sensei's voice says over the loudspeakers. 

"Noooo Shou and Zashi took up all my time to eat." Izuku whined, slumping over Hitoshi's shoulders as they all stood up to make their way to their respective places. The boy was surprisingly heavy for his small stature, though Hitoshi has a feeling it's because of all the lifting he has to do for the Support Course. 

"Here." Hitoshi says, shoving an already open energy bar into the other teen's mouth. 

"Thams!" Izuku says around the food. 

"Sure." Hitoshi says, ignoring the eyes on the back of his neck from Kaminari and his weird group of people. 

"Zuku, get off of me. You have legs, use them." Hitoshi eventually grumbles the closer they get to the tunnel entrance of the field. Kaminari was the only one from his group still with them, the others having split off for the stands. The moment Izuku grumbles and gets off Hitoshi, Kaminari stops blatantly staring at him. Or as blatantly as he can while not letting Izuku know he's looking.

Hitoshi looks up at the board once they get out onto the field, waiting for Midnight-sensei to explain the rules.

"It's the one-on-one battles now! It's like all fights! Either you fight until your opponent can't fight anymore, one of you gives up, or one of you steps outside of the ring!" Midnight calls out. 

Hitoshi already knows who's going to win the first fight. Poor Monoma (whoever that is, because Hitoshi definitely knows them), the kid will probably give his hardest, but Izuku's going to be going all out to get his and Mei's name out there. 

Hitoshi, on the other hand, is up against Tokoyami and he thinks that's the kid with the shadow bird quirk, but he's not quite sure. He does spend most breaks with Mei and Izuku, trying to avoid his class at all costs unless it's for an assignment. 

He kind of wishes for Kaminari to win, if only to see the boy go through a gay panic if he ends up having to fight Izuku. Now that, that's going to be fun to watch. And what's going to be even more fun is watching Aizawa-sensei have a crisis over the possibility of having to give Kaminari the shovel talk. 

Hitoshi lives for the chaos his friends will inevitably bring down upon UA.
