Vampire God in the Apocalypse

Chapter 319: 316. Clash of the titans (11)

The sea quaked as titans clashed, their roars shaking the waters like storms given flesh. But Jude's gaze narrowed on only one thing.

The collosus of glass.

It towered before him, fifty feet of razor-edged crystal twisted into the shape of a serpent. Every scale was a shard honed to perfection, refracting the faint light of the deep into a storm of shimmering death. Thousands of blades orbited its body, drifting lazily one time, then screaming like a hurricane the next.

Jude's jaw tightened. 'I'm definitely eating you, piece of shit!'

['Gluttonous battle hungry' trait of the nagas has been activated]

The serpent's prism-like eyes spun, scattering fractured reflections across the battlefield. It's eyes caught Jude not far from it, small, insignificant, inferior... Food.

The orbiting shards screamed forward, faster than arrows, each carrying enough edge to shear through steel. It was like the water's resistance had no effect on them.

Jude blurred into a streak of blue, dodging as the blades carved empty lines where his body had been, letting bubbles float up to the surface.

The titan wasn't done with that one attack. A shimmer rippled over its crystalline skin.

The scales lining its body pulsed—then detonated outward. Hundreds of shards exploded like shrapnel, the ocean filled with a rain of knives. The shockwave cracked the seabed beneath them, throwing up plumes of silt and stone.

Jude twisted currents around himself, waving the trident around. He redirected part of the shards, but too many came at once. Thin lines of red traced his arms and shoulders where glass kissed flesh.

He gritted his teeth. As time dragged on, he was getting more and more annoyed about how stupidly powerful the creature's domain was.

Then came the light.

The serpent arched, its body refracting the faint glow of the deep until it became a blazing column. Flares stabbed into Jude's eyes, burning his vision white.

The serpent used this opportunity. It's maw snapped forward.

Sending a presence moving inside the waters, Jude vanished into a jet of water, reappearing just beyond the serpent's bite. His sight cleared in time to see jagged teeth slam shut where he'd been.

The serpent twisted, snapping it's tail in his direction.

Jude braced, channeling all his focus in his trident. He swung down on the tail.

BOOM!

A thunderous crack resounded in the deep sea. Shards across the serpent's frame exploded in unison, releasing a concussive blast that split water and stone alike. The shockwave ripped outward, throwing Jude into a violent tumble.

When the haze cleared, Jude's eyes narrowed.

The wounds he had inflicted… were gone. The shattered pieces had slid back into place, although cracked.

There was one thing he didn't fail to notice though... There was a soft layer of flesh under the mass of glass that covered the titan.

"Hahaha! So you can be hurt, well then! Let's dance!" Jude shot towards the creature with a wide smile on his face.

It hissed, a grinding avalanche of sound.

More shards orbited it, faster this time.

Jude's grip on his trident tightened. He blurred into motion, dodging the storm, parrying what he could.

His eyes widened as he got close to its main body, he saw a very thin net of shards forming a net that seemed to cut the water around it.

'What the—? That wasn't there before.'

He stopped all of a sudden, releasing a shockwave that pushed the serpent away.

'Tricks huh? This is going to be hard.'

The serpent lunged at him with speed, chasing him around. Jude was able to survive the onslaught of the serpent for minutes on end.

One thing that saved him from sustaining too much injuries were the scales on his body which were like a protective layer on him.

The fight was dragging on for too long, he had to end it somehow.

'Wait.' Jude stopped, forming a field of ice to attack the serpent.

'Creativity is man's greatest gift. And I can manipulate water and ice, why dont I try this?'

Jude slammed his trident into the sea, his aura flaring. The waters bent to his will.

Shards of ice gathered, stretched, twisted. Slowly, deliberately, he molded them.

Soon, ice surrounded him, hardening to become almost unmeltable. He formed a construct with thousands of ice shards.

The collosus watched from above, confused as it couldn't see the human anymore.

From the waters, a colossal ice construct rose, its body coiling, scales honed to blades sharper than steel, eyes burning with pale light.

The Colossus froze at the sight.

Jude smirked inside the serpent.

The sea erupted as ice crashed against glass. Shards screamed as they struck, shockwaves tearing through the abyss. For a moment, the battlefield became chaos incarnate, two titans tearing at each other while Jude wove his will through the waters.

But the Colossus' eyes flared with pale light.

Its body convulsed, shards exploding outward—but not freely this time. They stretched, linked, connected with beams of crystalline energy.

A web, or...

'Its true domain. So its like this!' Jude looked back...

Lines of glass crisscrossed the ocean, a lattice of cutting force that filled the waters. The Colossus had unleashed its Domain.

Over 20 kilometers... All the creatures in that range were cut to shreds, not even being able to react to the domain spreading their way.

Anything that touched those glowing threads would be shredded to ribbons.

Jude could finally see its body now! It was a mass of flesh that had no shape, it had no face too, looking harmless and cutable.

*Crieeeeee!*

A shriek escaped it's mouth less body, and the webs began to close in, to where Jude was.

Jude's heart pounded, but his face remained calm. He raised his hand.

There was one skill he didn't want to use for this fight. But it might be worth it to end this battle quickly.

'A second class creature. I hoped I wouldn't have to use this ability.' Jude's eyes glowed a bright golden colour.

The sea stilled.

Currents froze under his will. Water thickened, solidifying around the crystalline threads. One by one, the deadly lines of glass became trapped in sheets of ice.

The Colossus thrashed, its storm shaking the abyss, but Jude clenched his fist.

Pressure crushed the frozen sea.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the lattice. With a resounding boom, the Domain shattered, shards breaking apart into harmless fragments that sank like sand.

The serpent recoiled, its greatest defense broken. For the first time, it looked small.

'Deep abyss.'

An eternal darkness suddenly covered the entire sea. Two bright, flowing eyes stared at the mass of flesh that wanted to write but was stuck.

"Trident of the Deep." Jude raised his trident, pointing it towards the titan.

A giant trident formed behind him, becoming the size of several skyscrapers stacked on each other.

With a wave of his trident, the giant trident moved also. It was over...

The trident cut into the flesh of the titan like butter, killing it with a single cleave.

The darkness of the sea resigned, receding back into Jude's body.

He floated amidst the wreckage of glass and flesh, his chest rising and falling, his trident dim once more in his grasp.

'Its over.' Jude thought, touching the side of his stomach.

The same place he was cut by this creature while he was exploring.

A smile suddenly lined his face. Revenge is sweet, really.

He let himself go limp, drifting slowly to the bottom of the ocean, his long blue hair forming a curtain around his face.

...

Above the surface.

The lightning-dragon coiled through the gloom, arcs of thunder dancing along its limbless body. And atop its back stood the insectoid figure, its black carapace gleaming, its claws flexing like hungry blades.

The winged tyrant flew around, seemingly heading to the clouds.

A smaller creature flew from behind it, seemingly catching up faster and faster.

The large insect that was atop the body of the amphiptere let out a cackling sound, as if laughing.

Gazan's eyes were full of stark calmness. Six golden draconic wings flapped behind him, cutting through the air.

All of a sudden, the amphiptere turned around, it's wings glowing brightly.

A wave of lightning surged out of them, striking towards Gazan.

The king of dragons waved his hand, a golden sword appeared in them. In a second, he waved it, making it shatter and expand, becoming a bladed whip.

He whipped the lightning coming towards him, swinging his arms so fast that his entire body and movement patterns became a blur.

The lightning reflected off of the body of the blade, and the creature flew further upwards.

"Stop playing with me." Gazan frowned, swinging his whip at the tail of the creature.

The whip grabbed it, making the rider look down, it's hollow eyes gleaming.

A light, that was all it saw before it fell down to the ground.

In the second that the amphiptere came into range with the dragon King's attacks, he sliced it up with smooth precision.
