Urban Soldier Young Master

Chapter 673: The Problem That Can't Be Figured Out

Although these people were saying that, their faces clearly showed "grapes that can't be eaten must be sour".

What the man really thought was, how great it would be if I were also a tycoon, throwing around wads of cash, having bunches of girls clinging to me, it would simply be like living the life of an Immortal...

What the women really thought was, that olive green one is a new style from such-and-such brand, that light purple one is a classic piece from such-and-such brand, that pure black one is from such-and-such brand...

Sigh, any one of them is not cheap, I feel painful just buying one, but this guy bought all those that I want but can't bring myself to buy. Why haven't I met such a man?

Leaving behind a sea of jealousy, Chu Ge checked the time, which was about right, and headed straight for the Green Garden Ecological Resort. That Chef Song really intrigued him, even if the likelihood of him being a threat was small, he still wanted to be sure.

He wasn't just jumping at shadows and seeing enemies everywhere, it's just that he cherished his current life too much and didn't want anything or anyone to disturb this peace.

If it turned out he was mistaken and caused trouble for this Master Song, he would naturally try to make amends, but if this person really had issues and that day's appearance was not a coincidence, then he would have to make other plans.

At eleven thirty, Chu Ge arrived just as Long Kun's message came in, saying the people he arranged were already in position.

Parking the car, Chu Ge walked into the restaurant on the first floor of the leisure club, sweeping his gaze around inconspicuously. The people Long Kun arranged were sitting at a table in the middle on the right side of the hall, out of them, four caught his attention, looking quite satisfactory to him.

These four were dressed appropriately, all in shirts and trousers, with no gaudy colors, and no hints of a thug demeanor, sitting calmly at the table, looking like any ordinary customers here to dine, not at all like the kind who'd cause trouble.

With just a glance at them, Chu Ge found an inconspicuous double table in the corner, randomly ordered two dishes, and quietly and patiently waited.

Evidently, those four had just arrived too and were asking the waiter to take their order, one of them smilingly said, "Waiter, we heard there's a Master Song here who excels in exotic cuisines, we're here just for him, can you trouble Master Song to be the head chef for our dishes today?"

"You must be talking about Master Song Baijia, right? He..."

The waiter, a refreshingly simple girl, seemed a bit troubled upon hearing the request and after describing Master Song's appearance.

The one who spoke earlier took two hundred bucks from his wallet, placed it on the table before the waiter, and smiled kindly.

"Young lady, it's our first time here, we're not familiar with your rules here. If it's inconvenient, we can pay a bit more, if this isn't enough to invite Master Song, we can add more."

"Well... okay." The waitress seemed still a bit troubled but ultimately said nothing more, took the money, and left the table.

Observing on the side, Chu Ge felt more satisfied; from the current situation, the people Long Kun arranged seemed reliable. The only thing that puzzled him a bit was the expression on the waitress's face filled with sympathy when mentioning Master Song.

Soon, the waiter brought food to the four, neither rushing to cause trouble and continuing to chat happily while eating and drinking. Once a stew with soup was served, they subtly exchanged glances and stealthily tossed a cockroach inside, then frowned and called the waiter over.

"Waiter, come over here."

"What do you need, gentlemen?"

"Need? Haha, take a look at this." said the long-faced man, putting his chopsticks down with a "bang" and angrily pointed to the cockroach in the soup bowl.

The waiter was also startled by the cockroach, stammering with no response, clearly not accustomed to or having experience dealing with such occurrences.

Such matters are hard to clarify. It's not unheard of for customers to cause trouble this way, yet even the cleanest kitchen can't guarantee the absence of such things; there indeed is a possibility the cockroach was present when the dish was served.

"We came here hearing about your good exotic cuisine, are you telling me this thing is also one of the exotics in the dish?"

The short-haired man wasn't having it either, crossing his legs, lighting a cigarette, with a face full of mocking smiles.

The commotion at the table quickly drew attention, a woman dressed in ethnic-style cheongsam, likely a supervisor, walked over briskly, "Please calm down, gentlemen. Is there an issue?"

"Issue? Hmph! Are you in charge here?" The long-faced man gave her a sidelong glance, and upon getting a confirmation, angrily pointed out the cockroach again.

Watching from the side, Chu Ge thought these guys were quite the actors, truly selling it; it seemed not to be their first time doing this.

Under watchful eyes, the supervisor apologized with a face full of regret, saying they would remake the dish and offered the meal for free to these few.

In this line of work, nothing is scarier than dealing with such incidents, it's hard to reason. The supervisor clearly had more experience than the previous young waitress, choosing immediately to calm the matter down.

The long-faced man snorted with a frown, and someone else at the table smoothed things over, stating they could accept the resolution and had the dish taken away by the waiter.

After a while, the waiter brought the dish back, and once the anxious waiter left, the four secretly tossed a one-yuan coin into the dish, then with even greater fury, started shouting with raised voices.

Seeing the commotion erupt over here again, the manager, although having a headache, could only immediately return to this table and ask with a forced smile.

"Gentlemen, is there anything unsatisfactory about our service?"

The long-faced man shouted angrily, "Look at this, show me what this is!"

After speaking, the long-faced man pulled out a one-yuan coin.

The manager was stunned, "This is..."

"I was afraid you guys would pull this stunt on me, damn it, you really did it, see this one yuan?"

The long-faced man sneered and heavily slammed the one yuan coin on the table with chopsticks, "I put it in there before you took the dish away, and you brought the dish back with the one yuan still in it! You guys think you're slick, huh?"

Hearing what the long-faced man said, the manager's face suddenly turned very ugly, "That's impossible, our Master Song would definitely not do such a thing."

"Bullshit, with the evidence right here, and you're telling me he wouldn't?" The long-faced man's eyes widened, and he stood up abruptly, flipping the table over, cups and plates clattering to the ground, creating a mess all over.

Even though the manager was relatively calm by nature, seeing the other person's explosive temper, flipping the table just like that, he couldn't help but be startled, "Sir, there... there must be a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding? You dare to talk to me about a misunderstanding with a straight face? Get your Master Song out here, we traveled a long way specifically to eat his dishes, and this is how he treats us?"

The manager was even more troubled, "Sir, please calm down, sir..."

Before the manager could finish his sentence, the long-faced man grabbed a bottle of beer from a nearby beer case and smashed it on the ground with a "crash", shards of glass scattering around the manager's feet, beer spilling everywhere.

"Don't give me any crap, if you don't get him out here, today we'll see this through to the end!" Watching the manager exclaim in shock, the long-faced man grew even angrier, "If this doesn't get resolved to our satisfaction today, do you believe we'll smash this place?"

The manager pursed his lips, his expression changing several times, then finally walked briskly toward the kitchen.

Over a minute passed, and Chu Ge saw the tall, overweight Chef Song following the manager over.

Chef Song's expression was quite anxious, not sure if it was due to the heat in the kitchen or being frightened by the news, with beads of sweat on his forehead, and when he saw the mess on the ground, he looked even more flustered.

"What happened, brothers?"

Before Chef Song could finish speaking, not even stopping his steps or catching his breath, the long-faced man cursed, "Are you that Chef Song? How dare you ask me what's going on?"

While cursing, he swung a slap over.

Chu Ge's attention became highly focused; he wanted to see how Chef Song would respond.

"Whoosh"

Chef Song stepped on a plate, his heavy form "thudding" to the ground, making the long-faced man's quick, merciless slap hit empty air.

This scene made Chu Ge frown secretly, even with his keen eyesight, this seemed like a coincidence, but was it too convenient?

"Brothers, really, I don't know anything about the cockroach or the coin!"

Chef Song scrambled up from the ground, his white chef hat tilted and dirty, sweat pouring more profusely from his forehead, looking increasingly aggrieved.

"You don't know?" The long-faced man snorted coldly, "So you mean we came all the way here just to cause you trouble?"

Chef Song waved his hands repeatedly, "No, big brother, that's not what I meant."

The long-faced man squinted his eyes, "Then what do you mean?"

"I... I..." Chef Song stammered several times but couldn't form a complete sentence.

"What's the point of talking to him, beat him up, and he'll know everything!"

A short-haired man next to him kicked Chef Song from behind, and Chu Ge's attention heightened once again.
