Chapter 91: Killing Continues

The Crowne Family Mansion was in chaos.

News had spread like wildfire through the gilded halls. One of their own—Axel's cousin—came limping in, face pale, trembling like a leaf in a storm. His words had shaken the entire estate.

"Axel... Lucien... they're dead. That boy... Ethan... he... he slaughtered them like animals."

Gasps, shouts, and curses filled the air.

"What nonsense are you spewing?!" Carla Crowne, Axel's mother, shrieked. Her eyes were bloodshot, mascara running down her face as she grabbed the messenger by the collar. "My son? DEAD?!"

He just nodded, eyes wide with horror. "And Aunt Mei… Lily… They were with him. He… he healed them. Then… he played with Axel and Lucien's bodies like they were broken dolls. I saw it! Over and over—he killed them, revived them, tortured them again—"

Carla screamed, collapsing to her knees.

Lucien's father stood in stunned silence before his hands curled into fists. "Get me every mercenary. Every assassin. Every awakened superhuman in this damn country. I don't care what it costs. I'll use every penny in my name… That bastard,I'll tear him apart with my own hands!"

And so it began.

Dozens of calls. Hundreds of messages. Bank accounts emptied. Fighters answered the call—arrogant, powerful, deadly.

They didn't know what awaited them.

Not yet.

The grand gates of the Crowne estate creaked open slowly.

Ethan stepped through like a storm dressed in skin. On his shoulders—two bodies. Axel and Lucien. Bloodied, broken, lifeless.

He was dragging them like trash bags.

A hush fell.

The entire front yard of the mansion was filled with dozens of hired superhumans, the elite of the elite. Muscle-bound giants, psychics, elemental freaks, speedsters. All of them stood, smirking, relaxed.

Ethan's aura hit them like a falling meteor.

Golden light radiated from one arm. Black mist curled from the other like a vengeful spirit.

"Well well," Ethan said, grinning darkly. "You really rolled out the red carpet. I'm flattered."

Lucien's mother screamed from the balcony above. "You monster! You KILLED MY BABY!"

Axel's father stepped forward, face pale, fists trembling. "You… you dare come to our home with their bodies?!"

"Don't worry," Ethan replied, throwing their corpses onto the stone floor. Thud. "You'll all be meeting them soon. In hell."

A flicker of fear passed through the crowd.

Then one mercenary stepped forward. A 7-foot-tall behemoth with molten arms. "Tch. He's just one guy. You all afraid of this clown?"

He launched forward, his fists engulfed in magma.

Ethan didn't move.

The man's fist came crashing down—only to meet Ethan's black-glowing left palm. CRACK! The sound was sickening. The molten-arm shattered like clay.

"AGGHHH—!" the man howled, stepping back in shock.

Ethan's golden right hand punched through his chest with ease, tearing through his body like wet paper.

Blood sprayed like a fountain.

That was the signal.

The battle began.

Lightning crashed. Fireballs flew. Psychic attacks tore through the air like invisible blades.

Ethan was calm. His expression? Cold. Unforgiving.

One speedster charged him from the left—Ethan sidestepped, grabbing his face and slamming him into the ground so hard the marble cracked. Once. Twice. Thrice. Until his skull caved in.

Another fighter, a woman with steel wings, dived down—only for Ethan to leap upward and punch her stomach, breaking her ribs inward. Her body spun in midair before landing like a ragdoll.

Two twins attacked together—water and ice manipulators. They tried freezing his legs, but Ethan's black mist exploded outwards, rotting their ice into nothing. His fist landed like thunder, sending one flying into the mansion wall.

He caught the second twin mid-air, twisted his arms backward, and used him like a human club to batter another attacker.

"Pathetic."

He muttered the word like it was a death sentence.

Ten, twenty, thirty enemies fell.

One fire user managed to burn his back. Ethan didn't flinch. Instead, he turned around, smiling, grabbed the man's neck, and crushed his head against his golden palm until it burst like a melon.

The rest started trembling. Superhumans or not, they were facing a monster.

Ethan's body glowed—half golden, half abyssal black. Two divine forces clashing inside one man.

One of the last surviving mercs, a psychic, tried to control Ethan's mind—only for his head to explode as Ethan snapped his fingers.

Finally, the courtyard was quiet again.

Dozens of corpses.

Blood soaked the marble. The air smelled of iron, smoke, and fear.

Only Ethan stood.

He walked slowly toward Axel and Lucien's parents, dragging their sons' bodies again, one in each hand.

"You wanted war," Ethan said, smiling. "You got it."

Carla backed up in horror.

Lucien's father whispered, "What… what are you?"

Ethan tilted his head. "I'm just a guy protecting his people. And now?"

He tossed the bodies at their feet.

"You'll remember this as the day the Crowne legacy began to rot."

Then, as he turned to leave, he whispered without looking back—

"Tell your ugly friends, your powerful connections, even the ones hiding in the dark—I'm coming for all of you."

Ethan hovered over Axel and Lucien's parents, golden-black aura flickering around him. Their pleas echoed in the grand courtyard.

"Please… I swear we'll live quietly! You don't have to kill me,just spare us!" Axel's mother begged, kneeling and clutching her husband's arm.

Lucien's father groaned in agony, tears streaming. "I'll pay anything! I'll hand over everything!"

Ethan shouted, " I dont need your pathetic money, besides if i kill you its all already is mine, isn't it? So you can peacefully and be useful to me."

He raised his right hand, the divine light glowing intense gold. A world-ending punch was forming.

Then—

A sudden shockwave slammed into Ethan's back, ripping his focus away. The energy pressure caused him to stagger forward.

He turned sharply. Two superhumans stepped into the center of the shattered courtyard: standing side by side, disciplined and unreadable.

Ethan narrowed his eyes.

"Who are you?" he growled, stepping between the Shin families and their bodies.

One of them spoke calmly: "Boy… stop this. Otherwise, the World Federation will not forgive you."

Ethan spat contempt. "Federation? They can suck my balls. Where were they when people hurt my family?" He lifted his glowing fist again. "Now they send two nobodies to lecture me?"

Cold menace flashed in his eyes. He lunged toward the parents, powered blow aimed for an obliteration.

But before he could strike, the two agents blocked him.

"Fine… I'll kill you first," Ethan snarled, turning his fury toward them.

Ethan slammed his right arm into the center agent's chest. A shockwave rippled outward. The man staggered, but barely.

This was not a street thug. These agents moved with speed and precision.

The second agent delivered a spinning kick to Ethan's waist. Ethan staggered, but his left hand flared black mist. That energy swallowed up the wind, extinguishing the impact.

He roared and grabbed both by the shoulders, throwing them into opposite walls. The stone shattered.

But seconds later, both agents recovered midair, somersaulted, landed on their feet, unscathed.

Ethan growled. This fight would not be easy.

The first agent glowed yellow light energy crackled around his arms.

He charged with blinding speed, trailing light-energy arcs. He slammed both palms into Ethan's chest. The shockwave knocked Ethan into the air.

His golden aura flickered, but he recovered mid-fall.

Cutting through the metal roof overhead, he crashed down and erupted, shattering stone and wood beneath him. A crater formed. Dust and debris flew everywhere.

The second agent cloaked in swirling dark blue shadows.

He materialized on Ethan's side and struck with bone-crushing force at Ethan's left arm, But Ethan twisted, then slashed his knee into the agent's ribs.

But again, these men were not normal.

He swayed, but rose again instantly, energy pouring out of his hands.

The two agents circled in perfect formation, flanking Ethan.

Ethan's eyes burned.

He launched forward with both hands ablaze, left black, right gold. Energy ripped through the agents' defenses. One felt his energy draining. Ethan's dark power snatched it away as if they were leeching him.

But they had prepared for that. They ripped open new rubrics midfight, drawing from other sources.

The impact slammed one agent into the marble, fists contorted. The other agent shook but continued breathing steadily.

Ethan battered them with golden punches and black strikes, alternating in a brutal dance. He pummeled ribs, shattered elbows, broke bones in hands, inhaled shocks and retaliated with dual aura strikes; arcs of chi energy tore through air like lightning.

After dozens of strikes, punches, kicks, and chi blasts, the agents slowed, and still didn't drop.

Then,

They both lunged at once, combining their powers: one summoned a storm of light razor-shards, the other summoned a wave of blue energy. The two torrents collided with Ethan.

But instead of disabling him, the two streams combined inside Ethan and exploded outward.

He knocked both agents unconscious with one crushing pulse.

Ethan knelt in the rubble, breathing hot smoke. He watched the parents weeping. He moved to finish them.

Sudden air pressure whipped behind him.

A single fist with absolute force, hit Ethan's torso like a missile.

KA-BOOOM!!!

The entire courtyard shattered again as Ethan was flung across the mansion's entrance, crashing into marble, flying through glass, slamming into columns.

A dark silhouette landed in the center of the courtyard.

Clad in wolf-mask and pale robe, Lucifer Morningstar stood with arms folded.

His presence cut through the destruction like a command.

Ethan groaned, sliding to a stop. His aura flickered; his body trembled.

He looked up through dazed vision.

Lucifer's voice echoed pure calm.

"You've done well. But your performance ends now."

Ethan staggered to his feet,

But Lucifer raised a finger.

A spike of divine energy shot in front of Ethan, not hitting him, but stopping his path forward.

Ethan glared through blurred vision.

Blood dripped from columns. Rose petals lay soaked in red. The bodies of Axel and Lucien sat by the mansion steps.

Federation agents were rising, pulling themselves upright.

Lucifer's presence blanketed the courtyard.

His eyes twinkled above the mask.
