Ultimate Tycoon: Building the Richest Empire with System and Heroines

Chapter 90: A new power

Ethan hadn't calmed down.

His eyes burned brighter than ever. His breathing was rough, almost inhuman. Every second he stared at Lily and Aunt Mei,both unconscious, bloodied, lying like broken dolls on the floor, something darker inside him kept rising.

His left hand started to glow black like a void had formed inside his palm.

His right hand lit up in a brilliant golden aura, radiating divine, violent energy.

Two forces. Light and darkness. Rage and justice.

Balanced in one man.

And all of it aimed at Axel and Lucien, who were coughing and crawling in the rubble like dying worms.

Axel tried to speak.

"Ethan… we—we didn't mean—"

BOOM!

Ethan's foot smashed into his face, cracking his skull against the floor. Blood sprayed out as teeth scattered like pebbles.

Lucien trembled. "W-Wait! W-We can explain!"

Too late.

Ethan appeared above him in a blink, his black-glowing fist slamming into Lucien's gut. The hit was so powerful, it launched Lucien through the second floor, crashing into the ceiling above before slamming back down.

The ground shook.

Ethan followed—grabbing Lucien mid-fall and spinning before slamming him into the floor with both hands.

CRACK—BOOOM!!

The marble tiles shattered like glass.

Lucien screamed.

He was coughing blood, his ribs clearly broken. "I-I was following orders—!"

Ethan didn't care.

With a cold expression, he grabbed Lucien's leg and twisted it until it snapped with a sickening crack.

Lucien screamed like an animal.

Across the room, Axel groaned, blood pouring from his mouth. He looked up and saw Ethan walking toward him again.

"N-No! Please! I—I surrender! I GIVE UP!"

He raised both hands, his body shaking.

Ethan didn't even blink.

He lifted his golden-glowing fist and punched the ground beside Axel's face. The shockwave blasted Axel sideways, flinging him across the room into a concrete pillar.

His body bounced off and hit the ground, limp.

"Ethan… please…" Axel whimpered. "I was wrong. I'll leave. I'll disappear. Don't kill me, please—"

Ethan finally spoke.

"You tortured my family."

His voice was low. Unforgiving.

"You broke into my home. You hurt her."

Golden energy surged up Ethan's arm.

"You think begging will save you now?"

Axel shook his head rapidly, crawling back like a scared child.

"No, no, no—please—!"

CRUNCH.

Ethan grabbed his face with his black-glowing hand and lifted him off the ground by the skull.

Axel screamed, kicking wildly. "I'M SORRY!! PLEASE!!!"

But Ethan didn't stop.

Golden aura formed in his other fist. Energy spun like a storm, golden lightning crackling around it.

Then—

BOOOOM!!

He drove his golden fist into Axel's chest, punching straight through his torso. Blood sprayed out like a fountain as Axel's scream died in his throat.

His body twitched once… then fell still.

Ethan let him drop like trash.

Lucien, still alive somehow, tried to crawl away.

He dragged his broken leg behind him, eyes wide with horror.

"I-I didn't want this," he sobbed. "I was just following Axel… please, Ethan, I have family too…"

Ethan stood over him.

His face was unreadable now. Beyond fury. Beyond reason.

Only cold judgment.

Lucien's eyes locked onto Ethan's hands—the black and gold still glowing, like wrath given form.

He began to sob.

"Please… please, no…"

Ethan raised his black-glowing hand.

And brought it down—

CRACK!

The impact crushed Lucien's spine. He screamed in agony.

Then again—

CRACK!

Blood poured from Lucien's mouth. His vision blurred.

Again.

CRACK!

This time, silence.

Lucien's eyes went blank.

No breath. No twitch.

Dead.

Ethan stood amidst the corpses.

The walls were destroyed. The roof half-collapsed. The air was thick with dust and blood.

But his breathing didn't slow.

His eyes turned toward Lily and Aunt Mei again.

He walked over.

Dropped to his knees.

His glowing hands dimmed.

"...I'm sorry," he whispered.

His body trembled. He was still burning with power. His heart still roared for vengeance. But they were safe now.

He had made sure of that.

He stood in the middle of the blood-smeared hall, cradling Lily and Aunt Mei in his arms. Their faces were pale, their breathing shallow, clothes torn, bodies bruised and bloodied. Just moments ago, Axel Crowne and Lucien had turned his peaceful villa into a nightmare. His fists still trembled from rage.

"I have to hurry… the hospital...?" Ethan muttered, but deep down, he knew. No hospital could save them. Their internal damage, the aura of death clinging to their bodies—it was beyond normal healing.

But then…

A faint glow erupted from his right hand. Gold. Radiant. Warm.

"Wait… what's happening?" he gasped as the golden energy flowed into their bodies, knitting flesh, repairing bones, purging trauma. The horrifying wounds slowly closed. Their once-weak pulses returned, strong and steady.

Ethan's eyes widened. "They're… healing? But how…?"

They were still unconscious, but alive.

Then—

Crash!

The doors burst open. Ten men stormed inside—elite bodyguards dressed in sleek battle gear, each one emanating the presence of a superhuman.

One pointed at Ethan. "He's the one who killed Young Master Axel and Lord Lucien!"

"Kill him!"

Ethan gently laid Lily and Mei down. His eyes turned cold. Blood-red mist swirled from his feet. His aura exploded outward.

"You people really don't value life."

The men charged.

The first swung a metal staff, aiming at Ethan's ribs. Ethan ducked, grabbed the man's wrist mid-swing, and shattered it with a twist. A howl escaped the attacker's mouth before Ethan kicked him so hard he flew into the wall, embedded like a rag doll.

The second man came with fire abilities, flames dancing in his palms. "Burn, you bastard!"

But before he could release the flames, Ethan teleported in front of him, black energy surging in his left hand. One punch. The man's fire extinguished as he crashed backward, unconscious.

Two others tried to flank Ethan from behind. One had a spear, the other lightning-enhanced fists.

Ethan grinned, grabbed the spear mid-thrust, pulled the man forward, and elbowed him in the face. Blood gushed as the nose broke. The lightning man got in a punch—only to find his fist caught.

"Nice trick," Ethan said coldly, "but not enough."

His golden right hand lit up. He slammed it into the man's chest. A blinding shockwave burst out. The man screamed and fell, spasming.

More rushed in.

One with wind-based movement danced around Ethan, trying to distract. Another hurled explosive talismans. A third conjured chains of ice.

But Ethan, glowing with rage and power, weaved through them like a phantom.

He grabbed the wind user mid-step and hurled him straight into the explosive talismans. Boom.

The ice chains wrapped around Ethan's leg—but they melted instantly under his aura.

"Is that all?"

He moved like a shadow, delivering a spinning back kick that sent the ice user crashing into his ally. Bones cracked. Screams echoed.

Within minutes, all ten superhumans lay twitching, bleeding, groaning.

Ethan's fists dripped with a golden-black glow.

Then, calmly, he walked to Axel and Lucien's broken corpses.

"Let's try this new trick again," he murmured.

He touched Lucien's chest with his glowing right hand. A ripple of divine energy flowed. Bones mended. Flesh knit. Life returned.

Lucien gasped, his eyes snapping open.

"W-what…?"

Axel soon followed. "How are we…?"

They looked up—and froze.

Ethan stood over them, smiling like a demon. Calm. Cold. Smug.

Axel screamed. "N-no! Please, don't—!"

"I'm not done with you yet," Ethan said. "We're going to play a little game."

He raised his left fist and smashed it into Lucien's face. Blood sprayed as teeth shattered. Before Lucien could lose consciousness, Ethan revived him again.

Lucien woke screaming. "P-please!!"

Then Ethan turned to Axel. "Your turn."

Another brutal punch. Another death. Another revival.

Again and again.

Their screams filled the villa. Twenty times over.

At one point, Axel tried to fight back, roaring in desperation, swinging a broken chair leg at Ethan's head. Lucien backed him up with a stolen dagger he found from a fallen guard. But Ethan caught the swing mid-air, broke Axel's arm like a twig, and shoved the chair leg straight through his own foot—then used it to club Lucien in the gut.

"Cute," Ethan said, grabbing Axel by the neck and snapping it like a branch. He let Lucien stab him, only to crush Lucien's fingers afterward, then suffocate him with a slice of sofa cushion.

Each death got more twisted.

One time, Ethan drowned them in a water sphere.

Another time, he slammed their heads into each other so hard, both skulls cracked.

He even used a spoon to dig out Lucien's eye once—only to heal him and do it again.

Axel begged. "S-stop! Please! I'll give you anything! Don't kill me again!"

Lucien sobbed. "I'll leave the city! The continent! Just let me go!"

But Ethan just chuckled darkly. "Nah. It's not fun if you're not crying like pigs."

Another revival. Another kill.

After the 21st cycle, Ethan crouched beside their twitching bodies, now barely able to form words.

"I'll spare you. For now."

They gasped in relief.

"Go," Ethan said, eyes gleaming. "Tell your families. Tell the whole damn world. The son of Elise Raven is here."

He stood, golden glow flaring.

"Let that ugly uncle of mine know exactly what I am."

Axel and Lucien scrambled away like broken animals, screaming into the night.

Ethan turned back to Lily and Aunt Mei, now resting peacefully.

The storm… was only beginning.
