Chapter 20: 20

According to Plan

Chapter Text

"Captain, you got a letter?"

Craider looked up from his paperwork wearing a frown.

Today was 9th May, a Saturday.

His headache was worsening with each new abduction case he took on.

"Who is it from?"

Bedrich moved closer to the desk before handing over the letter.

"I don't know."

"You don't know?"

Craider frowned, looking down at the letter.

There was nothing strange about it, nor could he feel any spirituality.

It was plain white with the only title: 'For Mr. Craider Jackmil'.

Bedrich slowly shook his head.

"No, sir. It, well... it was in front of the door."

Craider's eyes narrowed as he turned the letter around.

There was nothing.

It looked like a clumsily written letter, but there was no address.

This meant that someone had to personally come here to deliver the letter.

He hummed, slowly tearing the letter open.

Inside was a single piece of yellowish paper.

Immediately, Craider felt that something was wrong.

The letter started: 'Dear Mr. Captain of the Feynapotter city's official Fertility Order team'.

Craider's eyes shot up, looking at Bedrich with a frown.

Seeing this, Bedrich bent over, looking at the contents.

His reaction was similar to Craider's.

Craider placed the letter down and read the contents.

"Dear Mr. Captain of the Feynapotter city's official Fertility Order team,

We're writing this letter to inform you of what will take place today.

Last time, we felt bad that you didn't receive any warning prior to the incident. As you are the guardians of this city's laws and safety, we thought we'd be proper to give you a forewarning.

Concerning the series of Sanguine disappearances all over the Feynapotter city, we realized that you have yet to find the culprit behind it?

It's expected, the member whom spirit you've Channeled was of low-rank, after all.

Worry not, we've got it under control. The one leading this abduction is Viscount Ricker Buttery, with support from the Rosary Road.

Surprised? We hope you are.

Today, on May the 9th, the Viscount is organizing a quite large ball. We wonder what this ball celebrates? Caution is advised.

You, our dear Captain, don't need to intervene. We only hope you'll calm the ball's participants afterwards.

If something goes awry, you will be able to find the lost Sanguine underneath a wooden structure behind the Viscount's mansion.

But, chances are they'll be gone by the time you're reading this letter.

We hope you won't hold a grudge against us. Please understand that we cannot offer further information.

With Regards, the Abyssal Troop."

As he finished reading, Craider gently massaged his temples.

A few seconds of hesitation later, he stood up.

Bedrich, who also read the letter tensed up.

Craider sighed before looking down at the letter in his hand.

"Go tell the rest of the team, we'll leave immediately. I'll send a telegram to inform the Church."

"Yes captain."

Bedrich nodded before turning around and exiting the room.

...

The applause sounded as Ricker finished the commencing dance.

The ball was now in full swing.

Ricker was an older gentleman as well as a Viscount.

He had a gentle smile and very expensive-looking clothes, but his eyes were cold with a shade of red.

Just by simple observation, one could tell he was looking down on everyone present.

Of course, like a proper and experienced noble, Ricker led pleasant conversations with a gentle smile.

He just finished talking to Baroness Mailey about the prosperous business of the madam's Coal Company.

"Madam Mailey, please accept my condolences, I sincerely hope you'll enjoy today's ball."

The elegant madam Mailey wore a graceful look as her emerald eyes shimmered with hidden emotion.

"Thank you, Viscount Buttery, the music is enjoyable and the refreshments are simply wonderful."

Ricker accepted the compliment with a pleased smile.

"I'm glad to hear that."

He then looked towards the young lady standing next to madam Mailey.

The young lady, Airina Mailey, offered Ricker her hand and, like a gentleman, Ricker placed a gentle kiss on the top.

"It was a honor being able to meet you, Viscount Buttery."

Ricker smiled at the pretty lady.

"It's been my pleasure."

The two ladies excused themselves and left.

Madam Mailey looked down at her 'daughter' who was slightly shorter and whose dress was covered in an illusion.

The two locked eyes.

Her 'daughter' smiled, before whispering in a low tone.

"Thank you for your assistance."

Before madam Mailey could respond, the girl disappeared and another young lady appeared in her place.

This lady was the normal height, it was her daughter.

She then noticed that a few people around the hall have vanished.

Madam Mailey stealthily looked back.

She didn't see anything.

The Viscount has disappeared, and noone else noticed.

...

A few hours ago...

Daimira looked down at the Spell Scrolls before turning towards Juny.

Seeing her stacking papers into a strange mystical door, Daimira frowned.

After a while longer, she finally asked.

"Will you be fine?"

Juny looked at her before ripping a scroll and casting an illusion on her dress, making it identical to Airina's.

"Why do you ask that?"

She finally stopped working and directed her attention to Daimira.

Daimira sighed before looking back at the Spell Scrolls.

"According to what you said, you'll be taking on multiple Beyonders by yourself."

Juny hummed at her reasoning, leaning against a desk.

"I can't tell you the whole plan, but I'll be good. I accounted for everything."

Daimira looked Juny up and down, feeling unpleasant.

"You never know what might happen. You don't even know how many Beyonders there are. How can you be so confident?"

She tried to sound calm, but slight irritation could still be heard.

Juny turned her head, staring at the ceiling.

"That's because I made preparations. I am confident, because I truly believe I've done all I could. Even if I end up fighting 10 Beyonders, I'll be able to escape. Not to mention..."

Juny paused, locking eyes with Daimira.

She then smiled.

"I don't have to fight all the Beyonders present anyway. All I need is to choose the weakest ones and fight them with the Viscount."

Daimira tilted her head, not understanding.

"You can choose?"

Juny nodded.

"That's right."

Daimira frowned, feeling confused.

"How?"

Chuckling, Juny pulled out a paper out of her Pocket Dimension.

It was a paper with the Enchantment symbol 'Isolation'.

"It's because Space Isolation and Isolation Enchantment are two different things."

Juny remade eye contact with Daimira as she explained.

"Isolation Enchantment Isolates the spirituality-containing existence which used the Isolation Enchantment. This can be human, animal, Sealed Artifact, Mystical Weapon or other items containing spirituality. As long as that existance used the Isolation Enchantment, or the Isolation Enchantment was used on it."

"It will be Isolated from the rest of the world. It will be unable to interact with anything containing spirituality. At most, the person would able to somehow open doors or windows. Even picking up items is tricky. It's like you've become a Spirit body, but are unable to pass through walls."

Daimira silently listened to the explanation, actually finding it interesting.

"Space Isolation though, is different. It creates a Space separated from the real world. Other than the one who used this can be brought here. They will still see the same as before they were Isolated, but others won't be able to see them. They can't interact with those who are not Isolated either."

Juny raised her hand, extending two fingers.

"There are two ways to use Space Isolation. First is to choose an area which you want to Isolate and Isolate everything containing spirituality inside. So far, I've only ever used this one. But if I did so today, everyone attending the ball would also be Isolated."

Juny bent one of her fingers, leaving only the index finger.

"Which is why I'm going to use the second method. Method for which I have to look like Airina."

Juny pulled out a Spell Scroll and ripped it. Her facial featured bubbled and soon, both her face and her body-build changed.

She also grew slightly in height, but it was not perfect, since she was too short to begin with.

Juny, in Airina's skin, grinned and spoke with Airina's voice.

"I have to make physical contact, skin to skin, with all whom I want to Isolate, before actually Isolating them. I technically leave a spiritual mark, or a connection on them. I can then bring them into Space Isolation together with me. This means that if there are too many opposing Beyonders, I just won't mark them all. We can deal with them afterwards."

Daimira nodded, finally accepting Juny's plan.

She stuffed the Spell Scrolls into her carry-on bag before turning around.

"Still, be careful."

Juny nodded.

"You too."

...

Daimira handed Lancer and Villia a gray potion with dark shadowy black.

"We have to get in quietly, our goal is to rescue the Sanguine not hunt the enemy."

Villia nodded.

Her hand holding the potion was slightly shaking.

"I'll save my family."

Lancer looked at Villia and then at the potion.

After heaving a sigh, he followed Daimira's lead and drank it.

His body became illusory before blending into the shadows.

Villia finally found her resolve, gulping down the Shadow Potion she got from Daimira.

She became one with the shadows and moved inside the Viscount's hut.

Daimira traveled through the shadows, dodging any confrontation in the underground hallway.

Then, she stumbled upon a fork where the way split in two.

Daimira stopped for a second, looking around.

Villia did the same before sniffing and pointing in the left direction.

"My brother's there."

She whispered.

Daimira didn't question it and moved through the left hallway.

Her eyes soon registered a safe-like door.

Daimira frowned before releasing the Shadow Travel and taking out three Spell Scrolls.

Lancer quickly followed, accepting the Spell Scroll from Daimira.

Villia showed gratitude while grabbing and tearing the Spell Scroll.

It was a specially crafted Spell Scroll, using part of the Wraith's ability: Spirit Body.

The three turned transparent, passing through the thick door.

Instantly, they saw two, assumingely, guards sitting and playing cards.

Opposite the two Beyonder guards was one large cage.

Daimira quickly grabbed Villia by the shoulder.

Villia, who was about to attack in anger, paused and looked at Daimira.

Daimira was frowning.

She observed the guards with red eyes.

She then looked further inside.

There were more 'guards' with red eyes.

She sniffed lightly and froze.

They didn't smell like artificial Vampires.

The 'guards' were Sanguine.

Daimira's eyes turned to the cage.

Inside were tens of people, all with messy and bloody clothes which used to look elegant.

Their eyes were red and they were either crying or glaring at the 'guards'.

Daimira clenched the hand holding Villia's shoulder.

Villia was in a daze the second she looked closer at the 'guards.'

She woke up at the pain in her shoulder, but she didn't move her eyes.

While the two Sanguines were having terrifying realizations, Lancer, who now wore glasses, looked closer into the cage.

All the Sanguine inside had heavy chains connected to their legs and hands.

The chains were emitting and consuming surrounding spirituality.

Lancer's eyes moved to Daimira and Villia.

The two were standing still, glaring at the 'guards'.

Lancer nodded and silently moved towards the bars.

His body was still in the Spirit body state as he passed through the cold bars.

Daimira's gaze finally left the Sanguine 'guards'.

She turned and followed behind Lancer, still holding Villia by the shoulder.

Feeling the push, Villia flinched.

Then she lightly bit her lip, moving behind Daimira.

There were over 10 Sanguine guards, but she didn't see her brother among them, making her feel relieved.

Villia moved slowly, sniffing along the way.

Finally, she paused as her sad expression turned bright.

Following the scent, Villia stopped before a particular Sanguine man.

Before letting her excitement get the better of her, Villia looked back at the 'guards'.

Currently, noone was paying attention to the cage, probably already used to the glares.

Villia didn't wait as she ripped a Spell Scroll she received from Juny.

Seeing this, Daimira and Lancer also ripped the same Spell Scroll.

It was an Illusion Spell Scroll, made to create illusion of noone new appearing inside the cage.

The three then removed their Spirit body state.

Villia saw her brother shudder at the sudden appearance of a person right before him.

But before he could even say anything, Villia crouched down, hugging her brother tightly.

As if realizing, the man spoke in a whisper.

"What... Villia? What are you-?! Ugh! w-wait, I can't breathe!"

Hearing her brother gasping for air, Villia immediately moved back.

"I came to save you!"

Her brother stared at her, dumbfounded.

"What? How? Huh? Wait, how did you get in here?"

Villia looked around.

The other Sanguine were whispering and pointing.

Some were even turning to Daimira and Lancer, who already began getting rid of the chains.

Villia nodded and took out a Spell Scroll, her nails turning long with black, corrosive symbols.

"That's a surprisingly a very long story, we need to get out of here."

Her brother tilted his head and then looked towards the 'guards'.

They weren't reacting.

'What? What is...'

But he didn't have the time to ponder as the cuffs tying his limbs either clicked and fell off or corroded.

His sister gave him a bright smile before turning and rescuing another Sanguine.

Although it might seem like they could take it slow, Villia knew that it was a race against time.

They could hide their movement, but the illusion couldn't mask the sound.

The 'guards' would soon notice that something wasn't quite right.

There were surprisingly many Sanguine who knew Villia or Daimira.

While Villia was having a conversation, Daimira was explaining the situation at an absurd speed.

Seeing the speed at which she destroyed the cuffs, many couldn't help but show admiration for Daimira.

The one whom they chased out was now risking her life to rescue them.Even those that Daimira remembered cursing her parents.

Without a change of pace, she removed the cuffs even while frowning or clicking her tongue.

Behind Daimira's rescue was Lancer.

He handed out teleportation Spell Scrolls as we as explained the current situation roughly.

The tree didn't ask about the guarding Sanguine.

They didn't want to nor did they have the time to listen.

Inside the cage was around 34 Sanguine.

Just when all seemed to be going well, a loud click resounded from the safe-like door.

The door opened as all the guarding Sanguine stood up.

Daimira bit her lip, not daring to look back.

She heard the sound of many voices echoing.

"Praise the Primordial Moon!"

Daimira flinched, but her hands didn't pause.

She could hear light footsteps and a different voice.

"Praise the Primordial Moon. I'm here for the next bunch."

All Sanguine inside of the cage went silent in terror.

Daimira, after removing another cuff, looked back.

She saw two men, both with red eyes, but with human smell.

She knew one of them, he was the red-haired Potion Professor she fought before.

The Potion Professor stood behind a handsome man.

The man had very deep features with an unpleasant smile.

He was sufficiently tall with short, Rosy-blonde hair.

Daimira clenched her palm into a fist, feeling the pressure.

'He's a Scarlet Scholar.'

With that thought, Daimira rushed towards the last 4 locked Sanguines.

Amidst her and Villia's struggle to free the Sanguine, Daimira locked eyes with Lancer.

Lancer froze before nodding.

Then, he ripped his own Spell Scroll.

His body became transparent before disappearing.

Seeing this, the Sanguine glanced at the ancient-looking scrolls in their hands.

After exchanging glances, one of them finally ripped it.

As if a chain reaction occurred, everyone else began ripping their own Spell Scrolls.

This commotion wasn't left unnoticed by the guarding Sanguine or by the Scarlet Scholar.

"What is that sound? Wait..."

The Potion Professor's disgusting smile collapsed as he frowned.

"That's an illusion!"

His shout caused a shiver to run down Daimira's spine.

'F*ck!'

With a click of her tongue, Daimira and Villia moved in sync.

They both ripped their Spell Scrolls before grabbing the last two still-cuffed Sanguine.

Just as their bodies turned transparent, the illusion collapsed.

Daimira felt smug as she made eye contact with the enraged Potion Professor.

"Heh."

Daimira gave him a smile, sticking out her tongue in the process.

...

Dager saw unknown people with red eyes consistently appearing before him.

He secretly heaved a sigh of relief, looking at Lancer.

After counting the Sanguine, Dager took out 38 Spell Scrolls.

He gave half to Lancer before turning to the Sanguine.

"Before you go about the rest of your day, rip this. It has anti-divination effect."

Dager then handed it out.

Among the thanks and ripping noises, he was also questioned.

"Who are you? Why are you helping us."

Dager tilted his head before smiling.

"I'm the Junior Assistant Scoutmaster from the Abyssal Troop. I'm helping you, because it was an order from the Scoutmaster."

He then paused and moved to a different Sanguine.

"As for why the Scoutmaster want's to help you, it's because the Scoutmaster hates injustice."

Dager spoke, handing out Spell Scrolls to the silent Sanguine.

A young girl accepted the Spell Scroll before posing a question.

"Are Daimira and Villia also part of the Abyssal Troop?"

Dager nodded without stopping handing out.

"Of course, Daimira is the one who instigated the rescue mission."

The young lady flinched before nodding.

"I see."

Just as she said that, a group of four appeared amongst the already standing Sanguines.

Daimira let out a belated sigh of relief as she removed the last handcuffs.

Villia tried to do the same, but her hands were way shaking too much.

"Sorry, I'm sorry."

Mumbling, Villia still felt the terrifying eyes of the corrupted Sanguine.

"I'll do it."

Villia's head moved up to Daimira.

Daimira had already finished removing the cuffs and decided to help the shaking Villia.

Villia nodded with a fearful expression, moving away from the older Sanguine.

As Daimira worked on the cuffs, the older Sanguine spoke.

"Of all the things that could happen, I never expected you to save us."

Daimira froze before humming and removing the cuffs.

"Well yeah, I never thought I'd end up saving you, Baron Whiler."

Daimira stood up and took the Spell Scroll offered by Dager.

Baron Whiler, a Potion Professor, followed suit.

Daimira looked to the side, seeing Villia happily talking to her brother she held back a sigh.

Villia turned, locking eyes with Daimira.

Daimira smiled.

"Since you technically joined just for this mission, you can leave. I'll talk to the Scoutmaster later."

Villia flinched, shaking her head.

"No! I want to be part of your Battle Patrol."

Daimira tilted her head to the side.

"But there's no reason for you to anymore, you wanted to save your brother, and you succeeded."

Villia nodded.

"Yes, but I haven't even repaid you yet!"

Daimira lightly exhaled.

"Very well. Tell me if you change your mind."

She then looked towards Dager.

"How far along is the plan inside of the ballroom?"

Dager was about to answer, but he paused.

His eyes moved behind Daimira.

"So far, everything seems to be going smoothly, the Troop Guide is back."

Hearing this, Daimira turned around.

She could see a young lady with long, light-brown hair and an older woman with a bun.

They both had stunning emerald-green eyes.

Airina looked around at the Sanguine before speaking.

"All went according to plan, but the Scoutmaster has yet to return."

Daimira nodded, and also looked at the surrounding Sanguine.

"Alright, let's go to the meeting spot."

Villia followed and also scanned the rescued Sanguine before nodding.

"Please be careful on your way."

She then turned to her brother.

Villia smiled, walking over to the other five.

The six Abyssal Troop members each ripped a Spell Scroll at once before disappearing.

...

Ricker turned away from the two Ladies of the Mailey family.

He walked over to madam Eather with a gentle smile.

Seeing as she hasn't noticed him yet, Ricker decided to take the initiative.

"Greetings, Madam Eather. How are you enjoying the ball?"

Madam Eather laughed, continuing her conversation with Baroness Durim as if Ricker didn't exist.

'Ignored?'

Ricker frowned, but kept his smile.

"Madam Eather? Are you feeling alright? I heard you've caught your husband having an affair, that must've been terrible."

He tried using the madam's weak spot, but he was ignored once more.

Madam Eather as well as the Baroness turned away, making their way towards the table with refreshments.

Viscount Ricker found the ladies attitude unbearable.

He reached out his hand.

"Madam Eather, you're being very rude-"

His hand passed through.

'What?'

The Viscount froze, watching madam Eather walking away as if nothing happened.

Just as he was wondering what was happening, he heard clapping.

It was a gentle but unbelievably loud clapping.

The pace was slow, but it resounded in the busy ballroom.

Amidst the clapping, the Viscount saw all light in the hall take on a Violet hue.

Feeling a chill, the Viscount's head whipped around.

His eyes landed on a short figure.

It was a short girl with pitch black hair and Violet highlights.

The girl wore short, elegant dress with roses and petals as adornments.

The skirt had many layers with galaxy-themed colors.

She gave off strange air, making the Viscount unable to look away.

The girl couldn't be over eleven years old.

Noone else was looking at this mesmerizing girl, noone else was minding the loud clapping.

Before the Viscount even managed to ask, the girl smiled and the clapping stopped.

"Viscount Buttery, you have committed many sins. Unfortunately, I can't allow you to live any longer."

The Viscount froze, a shiver slowly and painfully creeping up his spine.

"What?"

The Viscount could see his Beyonder 'bodyguards' showing alarm.

He saw them reaching out towards their guns.

He saw it slowly, it was all too slow.

The girl's charisma was repressing, he could feel his confidence slipping.

His instinct was telling him to run, that the girl is dangerous.

But he didn't.

The Viscount watched in terror as Violet stars appeared all around the girl.

These stars shone with bright light, it was almost hypnotic.

The Viscount was too caught up in the beauty, he failed to react in time.

The enchanting stars shot forward, digging deep into the Viscount's body.

The scene was truly mesmerizing.

...

Juny was surprised as she watched the Viscount's body fall limply to the floor.

'What the-? Why didn't he dodge?! That wasn't supposed to be the killing move!'

Juny couldn't hold back her distaste, since most of her well thought-out plan now had to be thrown out the window.

'If I'd knew he was this stupid, I'd never bother with my preparations to begin with.'

While complaining inwardly, Juny jumped back, dodging the fired bullets.

In total, Juny brought five Beyonders with her.

Two Sequence 8, two Sequence 7 and one Sequence 5.

She 'somehow' already killed the Viscount, who was a Sequence 7 Vampire.

With great speed, Juny's eyes moved around before stopping on a lone Sequence 8 Beyonder.

Juny ripped a Spell Scroll and her body thinned before turning transparent.

Within a fraction of a second, she appeared straight before the man.

He aimed and immediately took a shot.

Juny planted her feet firmly on the ground before twisting her torso, dodging a bullet.

While doing so, a longsword made out of Violet-black flames Solidified in Juny's right hand.

The man, tried to move his hand to shoot again.

His finger pressed down, but Juny's body moved at a crazy speed.

Her figure turned hazy as she slashed, cutting straight through the ready-to-fire gun and slicing the man's torso in two.

Juny used the force from the slash to turn on her heel.

Her eyes reflected two men rushing in her direction and one man standing with a pistol in hand, as well as a silver bullet flying at her.

Juny used her momentum to continue her slash and connect to the bullet, splitting it vertically.

She then made the Solidified sword disappear.

Juny placed her two hands to her back and secretly pulled out two daggers out of her Pocket Dimension.

Seeing that one of the men had long black nails and the other reached into the bag on his waist, Juny took a defensive stance.

Her blades had multiple Runic symbols Engraved on them.

Juny crouched down, her eyes flashing with Violet light.

Activating her Battle Insight.

Juny was still for a second before putting strength into her legs and dashing forward.

Juny avoided the Sequence 5 Beyonder and attacked the Sequence 7 Vampire with long nails.

Seeing this, the Vampire grew two pitch black wings.

His speed grew as Juny's shadow boiled.

Two strands of pure shadows reached out.

Juny used Space Manipulation, forcefully pushing her body closer to the Vampire.

Thanks to that, she moved out of the Abyss Shackles's range.

Before the Vampire even did anything, Juny could foresee his Claw of Corrosion slash down on her left shoulder.

Juny predicted it and adjusted her posture.

She turned sideways and slashed at the Vampire's arm.

The Vampire reacted fast, moving his hand away.

The Vampire escaped only with a scratch, but upon contact, the dagger's blade shone with holy yellow light.

One of the Engraved Runes activated and blended with the other two.

It was the Blessing of Exorcism together with the Burn Curse and the Enchantment Strengthen.

The dagger dug deeper than it should, considering the Vampire's constitution.

The cut wound first shone with holy light, forcing it open with loud sizzling sound.

Then, Violet flames ignited inside of the wound and spread inside of the Vampire's body.

Before Juny could continue, a vision flashed before her eyes.

A large bear-like hand fell down and slashed through her head.

Juny's legs immediately gave out as her body stuck to the ground.

She stomped on the floor, forcing herself to jump up to the side.

She looked behind where she was just standing.

Behind was a large bear with outstretched paw.

'Tsk. A Druid of the Mother Pathway.'

Juny clicked her tongue and hid one of the daggers back into her Pocket Dimension.

She pulled out two Spell Scrolls.

Without any movement, the two spells caught on fire and burned.

Juny's body flashed again as she appeared before the other Sequence 8.

As she was fighting close quarter combat with the two enemies, this man couldn't successfully take any shots.

Juny's eyes flashed with golden lighting, as the Sequence 8 shuddered.

'Psychic Piercing of the Justiciar Pathway.'

He froze for mare milliseconds, but that was enough to have a dagger stuck inside of his throat.

After stabbing the man, Juny used Space Manipulation, lifting her body up.

As her feet left the ground, multitude of thick and complex vines sprung through the ground, destroying the tiles around the ballroom.

As they reached out, trying to entangle Juny, she stopped her Space Manipulation.

Juny fell to the ground head first.

She used the energy from the fall to land on her hands and push her body backwards.

It was a perfectly done back handspring.

Juny landed and quickly took out another Spell Scroll.

This time, she didn't get the chance to destroy it.

From the corner of her eye, Juny saw the bear-like Druid charging at her.

Juny acted fast, the blade of her dagger turned Violet-black as it grew longer.

Using its length, Juny parred the long and terrifyingly sharp claws.

In that short moment, Juny used Heat Control to burn the Spell Scroll.

In an instant, pure flames appeared and spread from Juny in all directions.

This was Pyromaniac's Area of Effect ability.

The vines and thick roots slowed down and burned, while the Bear-like Druid's figure slumped down.

His body submerged into the ground, which has now turned into a swamp.

Juny used this situation to pounce towards the still-burning Vampire.

Instead of blocking, the Vampire once again grew pitch black wings before dodging Juny's slash.

But Juny didn't end with one, her cuts and stabs connected infinitely.

Every time her shadow boiled, Juny made an instant sidestep.

When the Vampire's wings turned to black bats and attacked her, Juny crouched down.

Using the opponent's lack of speed, Juny jumped back up, slashing a deep wound into the Vampire's stomach.

The Vampire screeched, staggering backwards.

Juny didn't dare to finish him.

She took out another Spell Scroll before using Space Manipulation to lift herself up.

The thick vines missed her and their pointed ends rammed into the ground, destroying it.

As soon as the tiles cracked, more roots sprouted and grew out.

Juny clicked her tongue and cut the Spell Scroll into two.

An extremely large Fire Ball appeared above her head.

Juny used Heat Control to manipulate the temperature around her body, as well as Solidifying a transparent wall around herself.

Having finished her preparations, Juny allowed the giant Fire Ball to collide with the vines and thick roots.

The Vampire shook and tried to move, but his pain-filled body wouldn't allow it.

The Druid quickly moved back underground as a large explosion enveloped the entire hall.

Juny could feel the heat even through her defenses.

She could see the people outside of the Space Isolation panicking.

There is a limit how much can be Isolated.

Although the broken floor can be Isolated to a certain degree, an explosion is not that simple.

They must've felt an extreme shake, if not the hot temperature.

Juny sighed, ignoring the charred Vampire, Juny switched her Blessed dagger for an Enchanted longsword she made for herself.

The Solidified sword may look cool, but it didn't possess any special Enchantments.

Juny's feet touched the ground and she immediately moved towards the Druid.

It was then that she saw toxic-looking black gas rising from the Druid's charred fur.

Juny didn't hesitate to jump back, creating distance.

She pulled out two Spell Scrolls with the same symbols.

The Apothecary's Physical Enchantment against Poisons and toxins.

She also took out a Potion from Daimira and gulped it down.

Juny held back her groan at the taste.

Gripping the sword tighter, Juny rushed at the Druid, who has already moved up from the hole.

Juny kept her heartbeat and breathing under control.

She made preparations, but deadly toxins are still deadly toxins.

The bear-like Druid moved at a speed completely unnatural for a bear.

Thick vines sprung up from the floor, moving to entangle Juny.

Juny lowered her already short body and lunged forward.

Sharp arrows made out of Violet-black flames shot out, destroying the vines while Juny once again engaged in a fight with the Druid.

Amidst the clash, Juny felt her insides melt and blend together.

Her spirituality immediately strengthened as her senses turned sharp.

Juny's eyes widened, sidestepping and jumping to the side.

At that moment, a root pierced the place she stood at.

'Digestion? Does that mean the others did well? Nice!'

With a smile, Juny did a back handspring before rushing back at the Druid.

Sparks flew between the longsword and the bear's claw.

Juny lowered her back and stepped back, dodging an attack.

Before she managed to take the swing, something grabbed her ankle.

Juny stabbed her sword backwards, destroying the root.

The Druid took advantage of the situation and stabbed forward.

Juny clicked her tongue and tried to tilt her body.

The bear's paw connected to the layered dress.

But unexpectedly, the fabric was tough and only slightly torn at the contact with the sharp nails.

Juny frowned.

'Hey! Do you know how long it took me to make this dress?! Do you know how many layers of Enchantments are on this thing?! Don't you dare go around destroying it!'

With her displeasure, Juny used Heat Control, setting the vines around her on fire.

Her leg used one of the burning roots as a foothold, shooting herself forward.

Juny watched and avoided, cut and stabbed.

With the amount of Spell Scrolls from the Red Priest Pathway, Juny was winning.

But Juny also felt the pressure.

'If I don't finish this fast, those Fertility Order's guys might get here on time.'

Juny asked Darmine to deliver the letter for officials slightly after the fight begun.

But at this rate, Juny would be too slow.

With clenched teeth, Juny poured her spirituality into her hands and legs.

The Runic symbols glowed underneath the fabric.

Juny's movement immediately sped up and her body started heating up.

Engraving Runes and making Enchantments on a person's bare body comes with a great backlash.

But in certain situations, it was worth it.

The Druid, bleeding from his open stomach, was surprised at the rise in Juny's agility.

His fur ignited, releasing a great amount of toxic black gas around him.

Juny took a deep breath before clenching her teeth.

She didn't slow down even amidst the poisonous spores.

The Druid watched the girl mix into the black smoke.

He raised his paw, making the thick vines raise themselves and mix.

But then, the girl disappeared.

Instead of confusion, the Druid showed panic.

As if on instinct, the Druid turned around, sending the roots towards the enemy who could use teleportation.

But, there was noone behind him.

The pointy vines impelled an empty floor.

The Druid, still in his bear form, could hear extremely light footsteps behind him.

The footsteps were very close to his back.

A swamp appeared beneath his feet, making him slowly sink, but it was too sluggish.

Just as his feet submerged underground, the Druid felt sharp pain in his left chest.

Saturated red blood poured out from his mouth.

His head slumped down, staring down at the bloodied blade piercing his heart.

Slowly, the Druid's vision faded black as he forced a few last words out of his mouth.

"You... cheated."

His lips twisted upwards as he watched the longsword receding.

"Yea, what are you going to do about it?"

Hearing those words, he wanted to chuckle, but his body went limp.

Juny watched the Druid's body tumble to the ground, making a dull sound.

The man slowly turned back from his bear-like state.

Juny sighed, looking around the hall.

At some point, the hall went silent.

The people left, the music stopped and only the cleaning servants remained.

All oblivious to the bloody fight which just took place.

Juny looked down at the tattered dress.

She clicked her tongue, taking out an Enchanted paper with Recovery Rune written on it.

She infused spirituality while placing it onto the dress.

The fabric mended together, fixing the torn skirt.

Juny moved her hand, four Beyonder Characteristics flew up and appeared in her hand.

As expected, they were all corrupted by the Primordial Moon.

Juny groaned, placing them into her Pocket Dimension.

Juny then looked at the Druid's body.

Inside his chest-wound a strange claw, entangled with vines, began condensing.

Using Space Manipulation, Juny sped up the condensing process.

It had a strong crimson odor on it.

Juny decided not to touch it, using Space Manipulation to leisurely levitate it next to her.

Juny Manipulated the five men's spirits, making them whole.

Juny herself knew she didn't have time to do a Spirit Channeling.

Taking a deep breath, Juny pulled two Spell Scrolls out of her Pocket Dimension.

She embraced the feeling of digestion, but she was missing one last push.

Juny moved up the stairs while tearing the two Spell Scrolls.

'I'm sorry about this.'

Simultaneously, she released the Space Isolation.

Juny listened to the servant's screams of terror as she arrived at the top.

After a while, Juny heard loud and heavy footsteps coming from the hallway below.

Juny smiled, staring down at the Official Beyonders whom just burst into the ballroom.

She couldn't help but whisper in amusement.

"All's going according to plan."
