Chapter 14: Mirages of the Bubble
"I sense that there is something wrong that has occurred. Let us head out right now." Nanami told Kars privately as he proceeded to dart out of the hospital where all the patients were present.
Kars realizing the gravity of the words uttered by Sensei proceeded to rush out of the hospital. Running at their top speeds they ran towards the direction where the massive dome of a bubble was present. Inching closer and closer, they noticed a fainted body from the distance.
"Up your pace Kars, we have a body to tend to." Commanded Sensei. "Whatever happened there, we need to see if there is damage control that needs to be done. Is that any recognizable ship next to the body?"
"That boy has a name, sir. Bharaj. He was the one I sent to guard the bubble. The Servant of Njord was newly appointed, therefore I wanted to make sure that the task was simple. Seems that I had given him a task too difficult." Kars replied while rushing towards the fainted boy.
"THAT WAS NOT THE QUESTION I ASKED KARS!" the exasperated teacher was in no mood to deal with another mess. The day seemed to be getting only worse and worse. From being almost killed by one of his students in a trial against loyalty to halting a massacre and now almost fragmenting the planet's dimensional capabilities. He truly began to question the nature of the abilities that they had been gifted.
"Sorry sensei. That is not a ship that I recognize. Seems like whoever boarded that ship seems to be the one who has entered the bubble without shattering it. We will need to pull whoever is stuck inside outside the bubble." Kars replied with an apologetic tone.
"Let us first sort this mess out. It seems like this bad day keeps on getting worse and worse." Nanami looked around to see if there was anything he could see around at the vantages of the horizon. Truly nothing could be seen. He then turned his head towards the dome-shaped bubble that housed the two fighters. "The person must be inside. We do not know the nature of this being, but it could be one of the wanted. Therefore, we must be vigilant, Kars."
"Understood Leader." Replied Kars while performing the first aid for Bharaj. The servant of Njord had a faint pulse and a sore point present on his head. It appears someone brute forced their way into getting into the bubble before this new servant could even react.
Truly, I even wonder if there was a point to this entire thing.
Nanami stares at the sky and then picks out a transmitter from his pocket. A walkie-talkie-like gadget was transmitting a Morse signal that translated to "Send Backup Now"
Inside and outside the bubble, there are two completely different perspectives on the entire matter. We can see an almost cult-like following of all these Avatars and Servants working under this teacher and then there is this bounty hunter present inside the bubble trying to make his words meet two fated students.
A flower that was presumed dead came back
So many things that are slowly taking place with the pacing of the story.
However, all this takes place within a single day.
The day never seems to end in this story.
However, that seems to make sense as well. The rotation of the planet has stopped as well.
Or rather, it rotates at the same rate that the planet spins around its star. Thus, the planet is constantly having one side face the burning heat of the White Dwarf and the other side is freezing at the temperatures of the nuclear winter.
All for once that was called the Apple of God's Eyes.
Seraphites, Yoldboths, Angellismic, Ytoltelbim, Applities, etc.
All mega figures, but they are nothing compared to the place where this story takes place.
The massive experiment and the antagonist.
There seems to be none. There seems to be an empty story.
But then what exactly is the sacrifice that everyone keeps making to attain such powers? Why do gods even demand a sacrifice in this age?
There are answers to those questions that do not end. Frankly, the planet seems to be a fictitious imagination of every deity's imagination. Each has its representative in this grand play match of a game.
Narrating and narrating this story... how many gods I have seen come and go. Primordials such as us were the original usurpers. But even the usurpers can be overthrown.
There is nothing that we can do to stop all this.
Truly nothing.
"One last time. I just pray that the planet starts rotating properly again. I need this torture to stop!" Nanami exclaims.
"He seems to be fine for now. We need to rush him to the hospital and proceed with further treatment. I can take him there. Do you want to stand guard and see what to do about the dome, sensei?" Kars questioned.
"Yes, good. Do that. I will stand here and wait for the backup I have requested." Nanami answered.
Kars then darted into the horizon towards the direction of the hospital in the vast expanse of the flatlands. All the buildings and everything surrounding levelled during the creation of the bubble.
"In time. Everything will happen with time." A voice rang inside Nanami's head.
"This shall be my final message. I have passed away now. My servant is now in free of a position." It was the Servant of Abrahamic Ramiel that rang inside his head.
"Then this shall be the Dharma that I fulfil. To make sure that I finish my teacher's job properly." Nanami replied to the voice in his head. "Thank you for the closure, dear student."
In the hospital, it seems that a few of the patients have started to leave their beds. Larnia was nowhere to be seen, and the Blade and Smile were nowhere to be seen. Allastor and Wellester seemed to have disappeared into thin air. Arjun was still present in his bed and Clara was sitting upright on her bed. Egoister was bringing some freshly cut fruit for his fiancé.
"This bubble will shatter when I command it to..." Nanami uttered those words into the air, as a statement to the nature of the world.
"I WILL ALTER THE NATURE OF THIS WORLD"
