Chapter 98: Special Effects
"Stop! Stop! I confess!" Huang Xun shouted.
"You better think it through! Once you confess and all four pieces of evidence are exposed, your camp will lose! If your camp loses, your points will go negative, and you'll be dead for sure! How could you confess so quickly?" Gao Fei, taking advantage of Huang Xun not yet confessing the evidence, hurriedly blinded him in both eyes with a few pokes.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! I confess! The evidence I hold is that he has killed three revolutionaries! By the rules, you can't hit me anymore!" Huang Xun screamed as he desperately revealed the evidence he held.
"You damn fool! We've only just started! Confessing already? I must have been blind!" Liu Huang was dumbfounded by Huang Xun's actions; everyone else hadn't started fighting yet, and he was already rushing to confess?
"Boss, it's not right for you to say that. Where are you blind? I'm the one who's truly blind! I figured out long ago that whether I confess or not doesn't really matter; it won't make a definitive impact. Only when all four clues are collected can they sentence you to execution by shooting. As long as you hold on, boss, and don't confess for two hours, they can't touch you! I believe you can do it, boss!" Huang Xun, now unable to see anything, instinctively bantered a few lines with Liu Huang.
"Why should I be the only one holding out?" Liu Huang felt something wasn't quite right.
"Reasonably speaking, they want to kill you, not me. I calculated that you would never confess, so what's the difference between one person holding out and two people holding out?" Huang Xun continued to banter with Liu Huang.
"Damn it!" Liu Huang found that he had nothing else to say but this phrase.
"Stop cursing! Can't we just reason things out? Isn't what I said correct? If you think I'm wrong somewhere, you can refute me, but cursing is pointless and makes you look unsophisticated, dropping your IQ to the same level as Feng Dahai." Huang Xun, whose leg was mistakenly grabbed and whose eyes had been blinded by Gao Fei, now scolded, felt very uncomfortable.
"I, well…" Liu Huang was completely infuriated, finally realizing why Feng Dahai had whipped Huang Xun during the previous scene. Unfortunately, this realization came too late.
"Aren't you confessing a bit too quickly? I still had many ideas to execute…" Gao Fei looked at Huang Xun with a very disappointed expression. According to the rules, once a confession was made, he could no longer continue to torture Huang Xun.
Fortunately, he had already completed the secret task that Li Teng had assigned to him.
"Look at what you've done to me… both my eyes are blinded! It hurts like hell! You've vented your anger, so we are even now. Can you loosen this rope for me? It's really uncomfortable." Huang Xun brought this up to Gao Fei.
"Hmm, now that you mention it, I remembered, the rules only said no torture, didn't say anything about not tying ropes..." As soon as Gao Fei heard this, he not only didn't loosen the ropes for Huang Xun but tightened them even more.
"Hey hey! Don't play like this! Loosen it quick! I can't breathe!" Huang Xun shouted outloud.
"If you can talk, it means you can breathe." Gao Fei refused to loosen the rope.
Soon, Huang Xun's cries were drowned out by Liu Huang's screams.
Li Teng had already begun his 'investigation' work on Liu Huang.
The scene was too peaceful to be expressed in words and text.
"I just did to him what he initially did to me, no need to look this way, everyone go about your business," Li Teng said to the others as he continued the interrogation.
After some thought, Li Teng brought over a curtain and hung it in front of Liu Huang, blocking the view of what he was doing from everyone else.
"Don't kill him before we have all the evidence," Anna reminded Li Teng from outside the curtain.
"I know what I'm doing," Li Teng nodded.
"The two collaborators, leave them to me," Anna added another comment.
"Comrade Anna, you must help me find the collaborators," Li Teng stood up, extended his hand, and shook hands with Anna.
"Okay," Anna paused for a moment, then received two pieces of paper from Li Teng's palm.
Pretending to go prepare interrogation tools, Anna quickly read the two notes Li Teng had written for her.
After reading the notes, Anna was shocked… Li Teng had actually found the key to breaking this scene! This greatly increased their chances of winning the confrontation!
This guy was too clever, wasn't he? He had everything under control!
From this action, Anna could also see the trust Li Teng had in her; otherwise, he wouldn't have handed her these two pieces of paper.
After secreting the notes in her pocket, Anna, carrying a rope, walked over to Du Qing.
"What… what are you going to do? Don't mess around!" Du Qing sensed Anna's ill intention and couldn't help feeling a bit scared.
"Behave yourself! It might hurt less," Anna prepared the noose, instructing Du Qing to extend his hands into it.
"I'm warning you! You have no right to..."
Before Du Qing could finish his sentence, Anna punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Amidst Du Qing's screams and protests, Anna tied his hands together with the rope and hung him from the crossbeam, just like the last time Feng Dahai had hung up all those female editors.
"I'm a Revolutionary! From the same camp! Why are you treating me this way?" Du Qing was very scared, but still loudly questioned Anna while looking towards where the director was for help.
Unfortunately, the director turned a blind eye to it all.
"Elsa, please cooperate." After tying up Du Qing, Anna then walked over to Elsa.
"You can't be serious? In the last scene, I was an Underground Worker, how could someone like me possibly be a Collaborator?" Elsa exclaimed in shock as she realized Anna was about to tie her up.
"No one is impossible, please cooperate with me, don't make me force you!" Anna's expression turned fierce, a stark contrast to her usual self.
"If everyone is possible, then why couldn't it be you?" Elsa retorted angrily.
"Yes, everyone is possible, but between you and me, who does Donna trust more? Why not ask him?" Anna said with a dismissive laugh.
"I don't want to be tied up! I'm not a Collaborator! Director! What Anna is doing is against the rules! It's not in keeping with the plot!" Elsa panicked and turned to run towards where the director was.
But she hadn't run two steps before Anna caught up to her and tripped her, then pinned her to the ground.
Elsa struggled desperately, but after receiving a heavy punch from Anna, she quieted down and lay crying on the ground without moving.
Soon she was tied up by Anna with her hands bound behind her back.
"Tsk tsk... infighting! Some people think they are so-and-so's brother, and now it looks like they'll be in trouble soon!" Huang Xun commented gleefully after hearing the scene.
"Shut the heck up!" Gao Fei tightened the rope around Huang Xun's neck.
But everything did turn out as Huang Xun had predicted.
Anna then picked up another rope and walked towards Gao Fei.
"I'm really not a Collaborator." Gao Fei sensed trouble and instinctively glanced towards Li Teng.
At that moment, Li Teng was busy playing a game with Liu Huang behind a curtain, and it didn't seem appropriate to disturb him.
"Don't make me use force." Anna spoke coldly.
"Fine." Gao Fei sighed, surrendered his hands to Anna, and let her hang him up.
Finally, it was Daisy's turn.
The Bunny Girl still seemed a bit confused.
After all, this was her first scene, and she hadn't gotten familiar with the situation yet.
Had Gao Fei really stuck a needle in Huang Xun just now? Was the blood real?
And Li Teng, were the things he did to Liu Huang real or just special effects made by the special effects artist?
She dared not look again after just one glance.
Although the Bunny Girl tried her hardest to convince herself, believing it was just special effects, she couldn't bring herself to do it.
When Anna approached her, she was terrified to the extreme and instinctively stretched out her hands, allowing Anna to tie her wrists and then hang her up.
"You all should know."
"This life, it was given to me by him."
"So, I'll do my utmost, by any means necessary, to help him win this confrontation."
"Don't think that just because we were once in the same crew and shot a few scenes together that I will go easy on you."
"He might hesitate to act against you out of concern for appearances."
"But I don't have that problem."
"Collaborator, stand out now and confess the evidence you have."
"Otherwise, the terror you will experience will be ten times that of the last scene!"
After saying these words, Anna took out sunglasses and put them on her face.
