Trembling At A High Altitude

The flight attendant also lurched back into the cabin, forcing a smile on her face, and asked everyone to sit in their seats, fasten their seat belts, bow their heads, wrap their hands around their heads, and prevented Li Teng from moving around in the cabin.

Li Teng's row of three seats, where he and Anna had been sitting, had slid significantly, suddenly squeezing towards the couple who had not followed Li Teng to the tail of the plane! The couple instantly let out a piercing scream.

It wasn't the seats that were sliding, but the floor of the cabin that was cracking!

Just then, two huge cracks appeared between the cabin and the cockpit, and between the cabin and the tail of the plane. The ferocious wind rushed into the once-warm cabin in an instant, the whooshing sound drowning out the passengers' terrified screams.

Li Teng became even more certain of his earlier judgment and yelled, pushing aside the obstructing flight attendant and quickly rushing to the tail of the plane with Anna.

Several passengers sitting at the edge of the crack were thrown out of the plane's body through the two cracks, along with their seats. Their figures and screams quickly disappeared outside the cabin.

Li Teng, holding Anna with one hand and grabbing the seat next to the aisle with the other, struggled to steady himself on the remaining part of the tail that had not completely disintegrated from the plane's body. He let Anna and himself sit in the last row of seats next to the aisle at the tail, pulled out life jackets, put them on, and fastened his seat belt.

"Don't inflate it now," Li Teng reminded Anna, who had put on her life jacket.

"I know," Anna nodded, understanding such common sense. The question was, could sitting in the tail section save them from a plane crash?

The hope really was slim!

"Why is he putting on a life jacket?" Elsa, watching the live broadcast, asked Gao Fei beside her.

"A life jacket would be useful if the plane falls into water," Gao Fei thought for a moment before answering Elsa.

"From such a high altitude, isn't crashing into water just the same as hitting solid ground?" Elsa shook her head.

"Indeed, there's not much difference. The chances of a plane falling into water are slim, and falling from high altitude onto the water's surface is equally lethal. He has no other choice, it's like trying to treat a dead horse as if it were alive," Gao Fei sighed.

After striking the mountain, the tailpiece was flung onto the sloping hillside below.

The angle of descent just matched the slope of the hill.

Large trees, dozens of meters tall, grew on the hillside.

These trees greatly reduced the massive impact as the tailpiece fell, making it bounce and tumble down the slope like a broken iron ball.

Below was a not-too-large lake.

'Bang!' Another dull thud.

Water splashed everywhere.

"How's the situation? Did you get a clear look?" Elsa asked Gao Fei.

"It happened too fast, even the drone couldn't keep up," Gao Fei shook his head, his gaze constantly sweeping across several large screens in front of him, trying to get a clear view of the crash site from multiple angles.

From two of the screens, one could see the nose and the fuselage had already smashed into the hard ground, bursting into fierce flames, with black smoke billowing into the sky.

Only the tail had crashed into the small lake, where the drone was now flying over the surface, searching and locating.

"Damn it! They must be dead, right? I don't believe they could survive that!" Feng Dahai was also closely watching the live feed on the screen.

If Li Teng and Anna hadn't died, his death would have been in vain, leaving him feeling incredibly unfair.
