Chapter 256: Six (3650 Sheets)
"No one saw it anyway, better than a ghost eating you in the bathroom, right?" Yang Yiju forcefully stuffed a glass cup into Liu Shina's hands.
"Okay, then."
Liu Shina couldn't hold it in any longer and didn't care much anymore. She took the cup and headed toward a corner of the room but Yang Yiju softly stopped her.
"Is there something else?" Liu Shina asked haplessly, feeling she had already lost control.
"Just do it here, don't go far! It's not safe!" Yang Yiju pointed at the open space in front of Li Teng's bed.
"Ah... okay," Liu Shina really couldn't hold it and squatted right there.
The sound was a bit loud, but she couldn't control the volume under these circumstances.
Li Teng, who had been sound asleep, suddenly dreamt of a strange noise, and it was loud.
He dreamt that he had awakened and was sleeping on top of a stone pillar. Hearing the strange noise, he subconsciously walked to the edge of the pillar to see where the sound was coming from.
He accidentally lost his footing and fell down.
Li Teng twitched his calf and woke himself up.
He realized that the noise was real and looked in the direction it came from, spotting Liu Shina with her back to him, just half a meter in front of his bed.
What kind of play is this?
This... Am I still dreaming?
What kind of weird dream is this? So intense?
Li Teng, still confused from just waking up, thought he should just reach out, and that would confirm whether this was a dream or not.
Liu Shina felt very embarrassed at that moment.
She didn't know Li Teng behind her had awakened, so her embarrassment wasn't due to that, but because the cup in her hand was full.
But she wasn't done yet!
She carefully bent down and placed the cup on the ground to avoid dirtying her hands.
Then she wanted Yang Yiju to help her by getting another cup.
But Yang Yiju was still staring blankly at the actresses' big bed.
Liu Shina whispered twice, and Yang Yiju had no reaction.
"One, two, three, four, five, six..."
"One, two, three, four, five, six..."
Yang Yiju seemed to be counting, repeatedly whispering.
Her voice was filled with great fear.
Liu Shina didn't dare shout loudly, afraid she might wake the others up and embarrass herself.
She carefully stepped back and reached out to tap on the shoulder of Yang Yiju, who was facing away from her.
Li Teng looked up... no way? Is it that I didn't see clearly enough?
Just then, Yang Yiju suddenly let out a hysterical scream that almost pierced the eardrums of both Liu Shina and Li Teng.
Liu Shina was caught off guard, not knowing what terrible thing had happened, both her legs went weak, and she fell backward, landing on her butt.
"Hey... damn it!" Li Teng quickly put his hand in front of his face, just barely avoiding a tragic end.
Everyone was startled awake by Yang Yiju's piercing scream.
"What happened, Classmate Yang? What are you doing in the middle of the night?" Elsa asked Yang Yiju upon being awakened.
"Six... six... There're six people... on your bed..." Yang Yiju was so tense she could barely breathe.
"What six?" Elsa asked, confused.
"How can there be... six people... on your bed?" Yang Yiju's voice turned into a sob under extreme fear.
Elsa turned around and swept a glance over the large bed where they were lying.
As a result, she discovered that, including herself, there were indeed six people on the bed!
Yang Yiju's scream had awakened everyone, but there was still one person lying there unmoved.
Because they wore identical pajamas, no one had noticed her before.
Yang Yiju, who was on watch, had sensed something wrong earlier, but she couldn't figure out what it was until she remembered just then—the count seemed off, prompting her to count several times.
After counting, her overwhelming fear crashed down on her, hence the hysterical screams.
All the awakened girls, originally somewhat groggy, looked towards the bed, towards the girl lying there in the same pajamas, motionless; they also screamed, their decibels rivaling those of Yang Yiju's previous screams.
Then, they fled the large bed in panic, squeezing next to Li Teng, who had just tried to sit up.
Instantly, Li Teng was pressed back down, blissfully unable to breathe.
Your bed is so big, my bed is so small, why do you have to squeeze next to me?
Who is this? Sitting on me, is it really okay? You're almost swelling me up!
...
Across from them, the fifth girl lying there alone slowly sat up.
The actresses were completely terrified; screaming and pushing towards Li Teng, as if the closest to Li Teng was the safest.
"Acting in ghost films, actually, is also kind of enjoyable," Li Teng remarked.
Luckily, he had taken the Death God's Rejuvenation Pill, otherwise Uncle Li's seventy-eight-year-old body really couldn't have taken it.
But, is what you are doing really okay? You've smothered Uncle Li's head, he can't even sit up, he can't see where the ghost is or what it's doing.
Are you trying to get Uncle Li to protect you, or are you collectively and selflessly trying to protect Uncle Li by respecting the elderly?
After the fifth girl sat up, she silently faced everyone for a while, then transformed into a cloud of grey mist with numerous black spots swirling within it and vanished into thin air in front of everyone.
The actresses, whose souls had been terrified out of their bodies, took a good while to come back to their senses, then slowly moved away, freeing the nearly fainted Li Teng.
Liu Shina also quickly moved her hand away from Li Teng and pulled up her pajama pants.
Liu Yin frowned and looked over, apparently making some unpleasant associations.
"Ahem! Ahem! Is everyone alright?" Li Teng finally sat up and asked everyone.
Although he hadn't seen everything with his own eyes, he had pretty much understood what had happened from everyone's reactions.
Everyone was silent, clearly still immersed in the extreme fear from before.
"She doesn't harm people, otherwise she would've done something long ago since she slept with you for so long. So, there's no need to be so scared, perhaps she's just lonely as a ghost and wanted some company," Li Teng comforted them a bit.
"Why do I feel even more terrified after hearing what the senior said?" Wang Min couldn't resist commenting.
"Trust me, she doesn't want to harm people. If she wanted to kill us, a lot of us would've been dead by now. She's probably not a ghost who likes bloodshed; she's just trying to give us some hints, to help her fulfill some unfulfilled wishes from her lifetime, or to help clear some wrongful death accusations," Li Teng continued.
