Transmigrating as an Extra, But the Heroine Has Regressed?!

Chapter 204: A Beast as a Teacher!

The rescue team students moved quickly, checking their bags, sharpening blades, and testing protective gear.

Kael took stock of his sword and equipment, inspecting the blade of its sharpness.

Cecelia had been watching Kael from the edge of the field as the group prepared to depart.

She was worried, (Kael, when you return.. I will say I LOVE YOU first.. ) she thought.

When Kael glanced in her direction, their eyes met for a brief moment.

She stepped forward slightly.

"Be alright,"

Kael gave her a small nod. "I will," he replied evenly.

By the time the group reached the Arcadia terminal, Professor Slyvia was there.

Students whispered nervously among themselves, and Elysia subtly guided the group into formation, placing Kael in positions where he would naturally face more challenges first—slightly ahead in the march, responsible for scouting the safest-looking paths, and at the center of the formation during tight passages.

Slyvia gave an emergency talisman, "incase if you face strong ones, don't fight. Tear this and we will head immediately"

"Elysia, use the map wisely. You all should return in two days"

"Okay madam"

Kael took a deep breath, adjusting his grip on his sword.

There they began their journey going through the terminal.

Eventually they reached south of Elaris.

"The map says we should walk from here", Elysia said.

No one replied but nodded their heads. Kael simply followed, walking beside Edwin and Alina while keeping his senses alert to the surroundings.

As they walked deeper, they approached the entry of the village.

As the group set out, the villagers' plight hung in the back of their minds, a reminder of the urgency of the mission.

Yet, with Elysia guiding the path, they could go through the damaged paths towards the village.

At the south of Arcadia forest.

"What the hell are you saying, Myra? Are you out of your mind?", Elder said.

He was worried.

Myra, (straightening her back) "I'm doing this for us. For all of us. If I leave, I can finally find a way to search for my father. And if I find him, he might… he might be able to help us all."

Elder, "Help us? You think a single lost human can save us from the hunters? From the guilds that seek to cage us? Myra, this is madness!"

"It's not madness! It's hope! Do you want us to spend the rest of our lives hiding in this cursed forest? Always running, always looking over our shoulders whenever the scent of a hunter drifts through the trees?"

"We have spent more than one hundred years in this damn forest!"

She was frustrated.

"No… I refuse. I will not spend my entire life trapped in fear!" Myra said.

The second elder, a beast-woman, stepped forward. She placed a hand on Myra's shoulder.

"Child… we don't want to lose you. You are one of the few hopes we have left. If you leave, the world outside will eat you alive. Do you understand the dangers? The hunters, the mercenaries, the academies, none of them will show mercy." the elder said.

( Myra gently removing the elder's hand) "And if I stay, will mercy magically appear? No, Elder. If I stay, we'll just keep hiding like cowards, waiting for the day the hunters finally find us. I'm tired of running. Tired of living as if we have no right to exist."

Finally, the eldest elder lowered his head and exhaled.

"Since you don't want to listen to reason… then go. Follow this path of danger if you must."

Elder said.

Myra bowed her head slightly, hiding the flicker of sadness in her eyes.

"I promise, I will return. No matter what happens, I will come back. And when I do, I'll bring my father who can change everything for us."

The eldest elder turned away sagging with a quiet grief.

"May the forest spirits guide you. And may you not regret this choice." the elder said.

That night, Myra packed only what she needed, a small bag filled with dried fruits, a flask of water, a few folded clothes, and a single wooden carving of her mother, a token of courage for the dangerous path ahead.

She thought about her forgotten mother and father and she fell asleep soon.

The next day!

She eventually went waving at the beasts.

By noon, the towering spires of Arcadia Academy came into view. The academy stood like a fortress of white stone and shimmering mana, its outer walls glows faintly with protective enchantments.

For a moment, Myra stopped at the edge of the Arcadia, her breath caught between awe and anxiety.

"This is it," she whispered to herself.

When she finally reached the grand gates of the academy, two armored guards stood at attention, their spears crossed to block her way.

Their eyes immediately scanned her from head to toe, noting the simple forest clothes and the small bag at her side.

Guard 1, "Halt. State your business. Outsiders aren't allowed inside without proper authorization."

Myra, (bowing slightly, trying to remain calm) "I've come to apply… to apply for a teaching position. I heard Arcadia Academy is seeking instructors, and I wish to offer my skills."

The guards exchanged skeptical glances. Her youthful appearance, coupled with her unremarkable attire, didn't match the image of a qualified instructor.

Guard 2, "A teacher? You?"

His tone wasn't cruel, but the disbelief in his voice was obvious.

"We don't just let anyone waltz in claiming to be a teacher. Where's your letter of recommendation? Your documents?"

Myra clenched her fists but kept her voice steady.

"I have no letter, but I have skill. Let me prove it. Please, at least deliver my request to your head of the Academy."

The first guard frowned, studying her determined eyes. After a long pause, he sighed.

Guard 1: "Wait here. Don't move."

He turned and disappeared into the academy grounds, leaving Myra standing under the noon sun.

She waited, clutching her bag tightly with anticipation.

Finally, after what felt like hours but was only a few minutes, the guard returned.

Guard 1: "The principal has agreed to see you. Follow me."

Myra released a quiet breath of relief and stepped forward as the gates creaked open.
