Chapter 354: Camille's situation 6

"They probably would. Most of them probably didn't rest properly and just stayed near the room where Camille and Zam were staying," Treyton added.

"Yeah, they'll probably stay there. I'll sleep first," Luciel said, then lay on their bed.

They couldn't do anything for Camille anymore, as they didn't have any antidote or effective solution against the zombie virus.

Even if they stayed and waited for Camille without rest, the situation wasn't in their control, so it was just useless.

So, Luciel didn't bother staying awake and just went to sleep.

When Luciel woke up the next day and went to the lounge on the fourth floor, he only saw Treyton, Yang, and Wes, who were discussing something.

"Where are the others?"

Treyton paused his conversation with the others and replied to Luciel, "They're all at the lounge on the third floor."

"I see. Did they even bother resting?"

"Most of them only rested for a bit before gathering at the third-floor lounge, waiting for Zam and Camille."

"Even the kids?"

This time, instead of Treyton, Yang answered, "Yes, even the kids are down there. When they finally stopped crying last night, they all insisted on staying near the room where Camille and Zam were so they could immediately see Camille when he came out.

They didn't even want to rest because they were afraid of missing Camille when he stepped out.

So we had to coax them hard before they were finally willing to sleep first."

"Even Ashlee?"

"Yes, even Ashlee wasn't willing to sleep at first. I had to give her a convincing enough reason for her to finally rest," Yang said and then sighed.

Well, even though Ashlee acted more mature than her age, she was still a kid in the end.

Even Theo, who rarely showed his emotions, had cried last night, so it really wasn't surprising for Ashlee to act like that.

"I see. So, after waking up, they all went downstairs."

"Yes, after they woke up, they didn't even bother eating first and immediately went downstairs. Most of them ended up having their breakfast on the third floor," Treyton answered.

"What about Camille's situation? Any changes?"

"Zam and Camille haven't come out of the room since they went in, so the situation is probably still as expected."

So, Camille was probably still in the process of turning into a zombie. If he had already become a zombie or had awakened early, Zam would surely have come out of the room to inform everyone.

Since there was still no news, Luciel didn't dwell on it and simply asked, "I see. What about breakfast? Is it downstairs?"

He had just heard that most of the people in the team ate downstairs, so he had to ask if his breakfast was also on the third floor.

"Your breakfast is in the kitchen," Treyton said, pointing toward the room they'd temporarily turned into a kitchen.

Luciel went to the kitchen, got his breakfast, and returned to where Treyton and the others were.

Treyton and the others had already resumed their discussion from before he came.

Luciel just ate his breakfast beside them without paying much attention to what they were talking about.

When he finished his breakfast, he walked near the window and looked outside.

Last night, he had woken up because of the strong winds, but he didn't bother getting up and just continued lying in bed until he fell asleep again.

Now that he was looking outside, he could still see the blizzard going on, but at least the wind wasn't as strong as it had been last night.

Luciel wasn't particularly interested in watching the ongoing blizzard, so he simply closed the curtain and went back to the sofa.

It was still cold, and Luciel wasn't in the mood to do anything, so he looked for a series to watch and started one.

The written synopsis of the series seemed okay, so Luciel gave it a try, but he only managed to finish one episode before stopping because of the bad acting of the male and female leads.

He didn't know who the actors were, but their acting was so bad that Luciel couldn't continue watching.

He didn't like the series, so he picked another one, but it was the same thing. He only managed to finish the first episode. The plot was messy and cringe-inducing, which didn't match the synopsis at all.

Not wanting to bother looking for another series again, he gave up and just played a game on his phone.

He played for quite a while until Richard and Nina came back to prepare lunch.

When it was lunchtime, the people downstairs finally came up to eat with them, except for Conner and Raffy, who were still in charge of guarding the third floor.

They did manage to eat together, but the atmosphere was heavy, as everyone was anxious about Camille's situation.

No one was in the mood to joke around, so they all ate their lunch quietly, unlike before.

The kids were obviously more affected than the adults. They looked very sad and didn't have much of an appetite.

If not for their rule against wasting food, the kids would probably have eaten only a few bites.

At least they still managed to eat enough with the adults urging them on.

After lunch, the others went back downstairs again while Luciel planned to take a nap after playing for a bit.

But just as he was about to go to his room to rest, he heard Nathan shouting from downstairs.

"Zam is out!"

Treyton, Yang, and Wes, who were still discussing something in the lounge, and Nina, Richard, and Lottie, who were cleaning up in the kitchen, all immediately stopped what they were doing and rushed downstairs as soon as they heard Nathan's shout.

Luciel, curious to know what had happened, also followed behind them.

As soon as he got downstairs, he saw a lot of people surrounding Zam, bombarding him with questions.

"Zam, how is Camille?"

"Is Camille okay?"

"What happened to Camille?"
