Chapter 32: Other's killing zombies for the first time 2

"Don't be too nervous; your wounds didn't change, which should be a good sign," Treyton said to comfort Samuel.

"What about you guys, Calvin and Yang? Are you already okay?" Treyton asked.

Calvin and Yang had been vomiting as soon as the fight was over. They managed to kill some zombies, but after the tension of the battle was gone, they immediately started vomiting.

"I'm okay; I just need to calm down a bit," Yang answered while forcing himself to calm down.

Yang managed to answer, but Calvin, who performed better than Yang and Nathan when shooting zombies a while ago, was now crouching on the ground while vomiting.

Luciel could say that Calvin's performance was actually very good. He was very focused when they were dealing with the zombies and managed to shoot twice the number of zombies compared to Yang and Nathan.

However, he doesn't have any experience fighting others, and he was even a person who was deeply focused on studying, so being unable to take what just happened was understandable.

Even though the zombies were obviously already dead people, it still can't be avoided to think they killed people because zombies were originally people.

Being able to shoot them when they were in battle can already be said to indicate that they still had a strong mentality. Being psychologically burdened by thinking that they shot people was common, so their reactions are very understandable. They will overcome it eventually.

Treyton went near Calvin, patted his back, and said, "Calvin, remember that those you shot are no longer people. We killed them again because we have to."

"I-I know," Calvin managed to answer.

"That's good; just carve that in your mind."

"Let's all have a rest to recover our energy. We will discuss more after lunch.

Zam, Liam, come with me first," Treyton said while entering the villa after changing his clothes.

Luceil saw that they were going upstairs and guessed that they were going to deal with the zombies on the rooftop.

Knowing what they were going to do, he didn't bother staying on the first floor and went to his room to watch a movie.

He wasn't even halfway through the movie when Treyton barged in and suddenly hugged him tightly.

"What is it this time?" Luciel asked.

"Nothing, just let me hug you for a while," Treyton replied and didn't say anything else.

"Ok, you can hug me all you want, but let me continue watching," Luciel said.

Treyton didn't reply but just hugged him sideways so that he could still continue watching.

Luciel didn't ask anything anymore and just let Treyton hug him while he continued to watch.

Treyton went to the rooftop and probably dealt with his people, who turned into zombies. He knew that Treyton was unfazed when dealing with the zombies outside their villa, but dealing with zombies you were very familiar with would certainly be different.

They accompanied him for many years, so it was impossible not to have any feelings invested in them.

Even though Treyton already knew that they were already dead, killing them again would certainly be unpleasant.

Well, he could still say that Treyton's situation was already considered to be better compared to what he had gone through; at least they already knew that zombies aren't humans, and they weren't really the people they are familiar with.

In his past life, he killed a lot of his colleagues because they couldn't live any more. When fighting monsters, some people would always be crushed by their sizes, or their body parts were missing because they were clawed or bitten by the monsters.

Some of them really can't be saved anymore because most of their body parts were already gone but they were still breathing. So, they always begged to be killed because they couldn't bear the pain anymore. They would agree to their request because it was more agonizing to watch them in unbearable pain until they died.

Even though he knew that they were going to die soon anyway, it had always weighed in his mind when he killed them, but after doing it many times in seven years, he got used to it.

So compared to killing someone who was still a person, he thinks killing someone who already turned into a zombie was easier. However, such things weren't really things that can be measured, so he didn't say anything and just let Treyton hug him and continued watching.

Treyton only stopped hugging him after he finished the movie he was watching.

"Ciel, you should start packing your things," Treyton mentioned.

"I'll pack tomorrow. I just need to pack a few things anyway."

He would just put everything in the room to their space anyway. He just needed to pack a few things so that it wouldn't be suspicious.

"We are going to go out early in the morning; are you sure you will be able to wake up earlier to pack?" Treyton asked, knowing that he always woke up late.

"Ok, then, I'll just pack later," Luciel replied lazily.

"What time are we going to leave tomorrow?"

"We will leave at around 7 am."

"That's too early," Luciel complained.

"We need to travel early so that we can cover more distance before it gets dark. Don't worry, I will just carry you to the car if you don't wake up early," Treyton said with a smile.

"No, I will try to wake up early," Luciel said.

They would be going out for the first time since the coming of the apocalypse, so he needed to see what the outside currently looked like.

"Then, don't be grumpy once I wake you up early tomorrow."

"What are you talking about?" Luciel replied, pretending to be innocent.

"Don't try to play innocent. Sometimes you even become violent, sometimes when I try to wake you up. Fortunately, I'm very good at evading your punches and kicks. If not, I would have had a black eye and other injuries because of you," Treyton said while looking at Luciel.
